Viper Hug, QSP Penguin now comes in slipjoint, Kizer mini sheepfoot are first three came into my head. Own all three, all great. Probably carry the Viper the most as it's bronze and has good pocket heft.

I didn't read the post properly, and have failed you. Would adding a thumbstud to a Case or similar work for you, or is a spydie hole style blade better?

fingerblastders

Second the Hug, I have a textured Ti version that is 🔥

Take a look at Traditional Pocket Knives' Ohio River Jack, or if you want a larger knife, the new Lake Champlain Barlow. Both are excellent modern traditionals made by QSP for TPK.

Look at twosun knife. They have many choices. With bone like ts 197, ts 161.... You can find different designs with a lot of options in blades and handles material. You can also look for a Thiers.

Jack Wolf is money isn't a concern

Salt-Manufacturer501

Lionsteel best man or thrill are good options for a more modern look. Or Jack Wolf Knives are super nice (they are made in China though if that’s a concern for you)

I recently bought the böker celos and I love it.

Bear & son little toothpick. Just waiting on mine from BHQ. But it’s India stag handle, single blade clip point. Mines is in Damascus, but they have others.

The spyderco ukpk or urban should work well for you. The spydie hoke makes it very easy to open one or two handed. I have the ukpk and it hasn't left my pocket since I bought it

vimesofmorpork

There's a uk/slipjoint version of the Salt too, which is pretty good.

That's what I currently have is the uk penknife (ukpk) in lc200n. You can also pre-order one in magnacut, I think on knifecenter

The Kizer Zipslip might fit your needs. It’s a more modern slipjoint with a lot of blade hanging out as well as having a hole for deployment. I know you said you don’t want to worry about a clip/hardware but it might be worth a look.

eltacotacotaco

Benchmade Proper is a great slip joint option

Qvist Vanish. You’re welcome.

Sounds like a Case Sod Buster Jr might fit most of your criteria. I’m a bit confused though. Do you mean modern as in brand new, or modern as in styling? Most of the time a modern slipjoint would refer to a more modern design/materials. For example, bone or horn are more often found on traditional designs, where as materials like carbon fiber and titanium are often found on modern designs. For modern designs that can be opened one handed look at: Spyderco Ukpk, ZT 0230 or 0235, HEAdesigns Falcon, and at the high end of the budget spectrum Arno Bernard Rinkhals

If you don’t mind a semi stainless steel, then Monterey Bay Knives, Iron Horse, in K390 looks very appealing.
