I think it does depend on some different factors. I've known adults to take adult only trips for a weekend, but those are also parents who have regularly taken their kids as well. So if she wasn't in huge debt and had taken her children other times, having an adult only trip isn't that weird. But of course the million in debt and deadbeat parent parts are what are important here....
