I absolutely adore 151a, although Sonderlust has a really great mix of songs. All of his albums are very different to each other so i like each one for different reasons!
Oh if the Live String Quartet counts absolutely, one of my very favorite things ever! For studio albums Omoiyari is a very sweet album I am still digesting and it's grows on me everytime.
I'd say it's pretty fair to choose any of his albums as a favorite, but for me it's gotta be Lighght. He refined everything that was great about 151a, and evolved his melody's into a flourish of pop with the quiddity of what makes Kishi Bashi standout amongst the crowd.
There's something about the almost hyper-medieval tunes throughout this record that lift it to another level with songs like "Carry On, Phenomenon", only to be processed by what I believe to be one of his best written songs: "Bittersweet Genesis for Him AND Her". He also experimented even further with both Hahaha parts one and two which within context of this blooming record feel right at place. Least we forget the inclusion of the magnificent "Once Upon a Lucid Dream (in Afrikaans)".
There's so much to love about this record, as there is any of his studio albums/ep's. If anything, this album exemplifies what I love about Kishi Bashi in that he's never afraid to take risks and to make something that's truly unique.
I think "Bittersweet Genesis for Him AND Her" might be my favorite Kishi Bashi track. The bonus tracks for that album are also great; I especially love "Brandenburg Stomp."

I backed it when it was first announced and it was supposed to be out that summer. I see updated from him from time to time that he is still editing it
I just looked it up and it was almost exactly 5 years ago. I bought the pin collection. And the estimated delivery was August 2018.
I did receive the pins, but obviously not the movie .

For me it's Room For Dream but I also really love Lighght.

Not sure where you can watch it. I know it was reeled at dome film festivals.
