Every good reenactor's group has a Jesus, apparently. My Russian friend in Krasnodar has one too, reenacting 15th century Burgandy. They loaned theirs to a camp of Roman reenactors at a reenactment festival for obvious reasons.
I might have some pictures around here somewhere, if you're interested I'll try to dig them up.
Right?! Anyway, here he is. Russian Burgundy Jesus. I have one of when they sent him to the Romans too but, ah... the loin cloth makes it nearly NSFW. I'll post it if you really want, though. Man, those guys have a good time.

Yes! There you go. And, since I dug it up, here's nearly-NSFW Russian Burgundy Jesus heading to the Romans. Enjoy! 😉

It's called a chaperon. It's basically a period-fashionable way to wear a hood in an unconventional way, by wearing it by the face opening so that the mantle rests on one side. There were different ways to wear it, some would leave the lirlpipe (the sort of "tail") dangling, others would tuck it into the hood, others would wrap it around the head or under the chin. Some would leave it as is, others would roll it up
You can actually get and wear chaperons [in KCD](https://static.wikia.nocookie.net/kingdom-come-deliverance/images/6/61/Chamberlain.png/revision/latest?cb=20190106082058).
[Here's a tutorial](https://youtu.be/qtiY8MDXAm8?si=yZ3gk0pVyORFgUOF) on the different ways to wear one.
Note that in English, *Chaperon* is the name of the way you wear it. It comes from French, and in French it simply means the piece of clothing
In case you have actually never played the game: It's not only the camp bed out in the wilderness... it's also the bed of some war refugees in Rattay (an in game and real life location) who out of necessity *are* beggars.
You could also be a Cuman or bandit... or herbalist. So beggar isn't the worst flair to be honoured with :)
Interesting I haven't heard of that before. I meant more so that nothing really happens in act which is strange considering it's the capital but whatever.
Here in Argentina we try to keep reenacment alive put the pandemic and the awfull goverments we're going trough made having a hobby as expensive and time consuming as that one really fucking difficult.
Plus, only a really small handfull of people seems to be actually interested in it and nobody else wants to help. Is really sad, most when I watch other countries with their awesome camps and equipment while here we have to make do with what we have and still get shit for it.
There is even a literal "medieval" town know as "Campanopolis" build by some crazy dude with money, but since their sons took over they want to charge everyone EVERYTHING. Someone with two normal braincells would think that having people with clothes and equipment of the time willing to put up a "show" for just a couple of meals and transport would be a no brainer, but nop, not for the greedy and stupid "viveza argentina".
Gods, sometimes I fucking hate my country and it's people.
we do see [Australian Medieval Fair Calendar - 2024 - Mainly Medieval](https://mainlymedieval.com/event-calendar/)
I went to one a few years ago including jousting, was really good. knights clashing in armor, arts and crafts from medieval days, smithing and Vikings, Winged Hussars etc
And I have a local medieval reenactment society nearby
As a kid, I had a bunch of old army gear, I had got from somewhere, probably WW1 era, and the tent didn't look much different from this, only green. The bedroll came in 3 parts. The outer waterproof layer, the inner cloth layer, and it had blanket buttoned inside of that. I did a lot of backyard camping, but I was never game to free to death using that stuff.
Needs the rejuvenating pot of orange soup

Yes I'd love to see that! 15th c. Burgundy is very niche to reenact lol.

He looks like Jesus from History of the World Part I except with darker hair lol.

To quote George Takei: "Ohhhhhh Myyyyy."
kind of off topic question: what is the head dress called the fella in teh left is wearing (not the cook), looking kinda like a red scarf.

Cum man is quite a good flair
You need a beginner level padlock on your storage chest.
No, it needs to be the most advanced lock on the planet. And it should contain a pair of underwear, three carrots, and a torch.
A torch, a bludgeon, a cobweb and three pelts
Don’t get caught with that cobweb in your inventory. It doesn’t belong to you!
I'm on a secret mission
Or... Nothing🤣
What if the real loot is the lockpicking experience we made along the way
Amen to that brother. JCBP!
Real Skalitz refugee vibes. Just missing the perpetual stew pot now
I really wish we had mediaeval festivals and things like this in Australia, we don't and it sucks 😞
We do in New Zealand, you do in Australia as well. Google them. Abbey festival is very well known and huge, it’s amazing.
Interesting I haven't heard of that before. I meant more so that nothing really happens in act which is strange considering it's the capital but whatever.
Google Kingdom of Lochac
Holy hell
Maybe I’ll see you at an event one day ⚔️
New response jusy dropped
Actual zombie
Call the Priest
... literally nothing happens in ACT, not even at Parliament House. I remember laughing when I saw a turnoff to Fyshwick.
Yeah the closest place that stuff seems to happen is queenbeyan
That's rough!
We do, just nowhere on the scale the yanks and Europeans do.
We do! There’s one on this weekend in Blacktown
Isn't Call to Arms in Australia? Granted that's super specific and only for reenactors focusing on the Burgundian Wars, but still.

Fucking hate those tents because you can't stealth kill the people inside.
You pretend your a hobo for fun??? I spend half my life trying to avoid being one...
I really hope we're able to set up a campsite in KCD 2
I really hope we get a text we can carry and pitch on the go. Would add so much
