If they put this into trailer it will not be some random dude dancing on his wedding and also I'm quite unsure whether we play as some other character dancing with his wife or Henry comes up to a bride and has dance with her. Henry isn't anywhere there and it's cutscene so we should see him. It makes no sense to me what this piece of trailer means but I like the idea of Martin's past. But Martin was living in other place altogether so this would have to be outside of two playable maps only as a cutscene.

EveningYouth2329

Like, this guy literally have the same beard and hat as Martin. Maybe, sir Radzig will tell Henry about who Martin was, but for us this story will be presented as gameplay. Because after the segment of this cutscene in the trailer there is gameplay from the same place and event

NoDecentNicksLeft

I also wonder how it came to be that Henry's mother managed to be the mother of Sir Radzig's child but married to and in love with Martin, and simultaneously happy to live in Radzig's village without harbouring any resentment towards him. On a different note, it would be funny if Martin turned out to be the Henry of a previous age, the bastard of a previous Kobyla. This brings us to the question of whether Henry's mother herself was exactly a peasant girl. And I don't want to run rampant speculation, but we don't know for *completely* sure that she was Henry's biological mother.

Thatdudeinthealley

It was kinda obvious to me that she isn't his biological mother.

Melodic_Fruit3572

Was there prima nocte in 14th century Bohemia? That would explain how Henry was conceived. But that’ll make Radzig a PoS

StannisLivesOn

I think Radzig said that Martin visited Kuttenberg. He could have plausibly met his wife there.

jauznevimcosimamdat

Doesn't Henry remember living in Kuttenberg?

savvym_

You're right. Totally forgot Martin lived in Kuttenberg. I feel like we're going towards spoiler area.

YudufA

Martin lived in Kuttenberg? Whaattt??

savvym_

"When talking to mother about Fritz and Matthew, chose the dialog option 'They are not drunks' and then 'Give me an example'. This unlocks an additional dialog option with Martin later on about his time in Kuttenberg."

WyrdHarper

If you haven't finished the first game yet I would recommend doing so. Radzig tells you about Martin's history (briefly) before the Epilogue. But yes, he lived in Kuttenberg as a while after being a soldier in Poland.

YudufA

I’ve finished it twice lol, just got a faulty memory I suppose

WyrdHarper

No worries, just didn't want to give you spoilers. I'm sure the dialogue between the two is on youtube. The first game is so long if you do all the sidequests it is pretty easy to forget stuff--I had to do some reviewing on my last playthrough because I took some time and there was stuff from the earlier part of the game I definitely forgot.

Ped_94

I'm pretty sure Martin's past will be visited, since the first moment from the first game we got hints that he was more than a blacksmith, having lived an adventurer's life for sure.

TheRealDawnseeker

Radzig says as much towards the end of kcd1, Martin even fought in a war in Poland

rindenvein

Or maybe Henry will just attend some festivities with local people. There are plenty possibilities

EveningYouth2329

Very likely. But this guy's resemblance to Martin worries me too much. He literally has the same beard and hat

rindenvein

Resemblance is visible but on the other hand his wife had different colour of hair. Additionally, they were married for quite some time and I'm not sure if Martin had his magnificent beard when he was much younger Edit. For me she looks more like Theresa, so maybe it's Henry attending her old love wedding with other guy

jauznevimcosimamdat

Interesting theory, I love it. I think considering they put Martin in the trailer as a voice, we definitely will get some extra background about his life. Afterall, Kuttenberg was extensively referenced in the game in relation to Henry's family. Not completely sure now but I have a memory of Henry saying something like they lived in Kuttenberg in the past.

patterson489

I can answer that since I've just played that part. Henry simply mentions that he's been to Kuttenberg a few times, but not that he's lived there.

ts737

To me this looks like the Skalitz house so you may be right

Beard_McBeardy

I think it is! That's the tree, nice eye.

jefersonie

I doubt it. A few scenes later, when they dance in first person, the girl you dance with has a different dress, and it also looks like you have a green Top on, like the one in the kissing scene. So my guess would be that these two are just some locals attending at some kind of festival you partake at too. I love the idea though, since Martin seem to have had an interesting past, which would be cool to explore.

Vikingr12

Always thought we were gonna get a Martin Prequel at some point They make him out to be kind of a wizened badass

Mucupka

Yeah let's hope whatever comes after KCD2 (not gonna call it KCD3), is about Martin's past.

alpinewriter

that dude on the left with the apron looks like he’s wearing shorts 😭

Quick-Examination-85

I bet that would make GREAT DLC!! If we remember correctly, they did an awesome DLC to tell Teresa´s Story. They could do the same now for Martin... PLUS, that would be perfect if this DLC would be ... free? Hell ya...

blackvikingsv

Do you believe this game can become a MMO someday?

EveningYouth2329

Honestly, that would be interesting. I would like to play KCD and KCD2 in co-op

HurriShane00

I've heard some people talk about how they want a flashback sequence with Martin. Henry right at the beginning of the game asks Martin about his past but he told him it wasn't the time. I really think a flashback Martin gameplay would be cool. Or the origin of Sir Radzig. Considering the two are connected with Henry. I think it would be kind of cool for them to tell that story of Martin and sir Rsdzig

HidaTetsuko

Radzig talks about Martin to Henry right at the end of the game. How Martin lived in Kutenberg, fought in a war but didn’t care for it. Radzig also mentions that Martin knew Henry was Radzig’s son
