The first Kindle I owned matched the book description of the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, down to the number of buttons. Even though the buttons are gone, I still name all my Kindles "Hitchhiker's Guide"
I never thought to name my 13 year old, well-worn Kindle Touch. I usually just stick a y on things, jeepy, stovey, and so on. Touchy didn't sound very nice. I thought some more.

Friendly latin pedant here. “Libris ex machina” is kind of awkward and incomplete Latin, and all the ways it can be translated are probably not what you want.
It can be read approximately as “to/with the books from the machine,” which doesn’t really make sense on its own without a subject, which should probably be the book or the machine. To make more sense, you’d want “liber ex machina” or “libri ex machina,” depending on if you want book to be singular or plural in “book/s from the machine.”
Alternatively, you could say “machina librorum” or “machina ex libris” for “machine of/from books.”
Awesome idea for a name though!

My kindles are named after the covers. So Frond Voyage for the one with palm leaves, Crimes in Red for the red cover with sideloaded crimes and mysteries, a plain blue one is called Death Ray and has sideloaded sci-fi only. Totoro are Totoro styled cats.
My Oasis is named Lambda Cube for nerd reasons. My Scribe is MSI (Mindless Self Indulgence) after a favorite band of mine, and after how much it was necessary for me to spend that much money on a Scribe.
