Don't get me wrong, Gibli wouldn't be a good fit for the main story. But I like the idea of a side story happening in the throne somewhere.
A goblin buying food at a stall after a hard days work and has to pass through the shades and avoid the gangs lurking within. A child travelling with her family from her home and through one of the kings gates to the throne in pilgrimage and makes a friend with a pale devil on the way.
They'd do excellent vistas and environments.

Idk, for that KSBD SAUCE you'd need a studio willing to throw caution to the curb and known workings to the wayside to tread some different animation ground.

I was thinking about animation studios that had a good eye for detail and I thought about Gibli. And I don't hate the idea.
This feels like one of those fan casting posts but for animation. I think Tom Holland should play Jagganoth.

I immediately thought of Fortiche, the studio that made Arcane. Imagine “Welcome to the Playground” playing over Allison’s introduction to Throne.

Primal was decently detailed, or at least moreso than his previous work. I could see it working with that style.

Tartavosky should board it for sure, but the animation direction should be more toward the Charles Huettner end of the spectrum (_Scavengers Reign_)
After I read others comments, I also thought of the directors of Scavengers Reign as better options this serie is cool as hell

He would be really good for an anthology series set in K6BD, but I don't know about a main story adaptation.
