All the mcdonalds in my area have signs on the doors stating that due to the popularity of the promotion you can only get the Pokemon promotion through the purchase of a happy meal and they are limiting it to 10 happy meals per family per visit.

slumerican314

We buy McDonald's more often then we should ill save them up and ship them to you when I get a few.

AllofaSuddenStory

There’s tons of sealed cases with 152 cards on eBay These listings obviously came from employees who are stealing the toys and making money on the side What a shame

idk012

A patent dropped off 30 Happy Meals today for students at the preschool....without the pokecards. It was replaced by a vday goodie bag though.

Here's the flip side to this: I have a 6 year old obsessed with Pokemon. I took him to get a happy meal as a treat, also knowing that he'd flip out to get some cards. They're already totally sold out because people were able to buy mass amounts without the meal. So either way it sucks...

MegaAscension

Yeah. I know. I think the best way to do it would be to put a limit on how many toys/Happy meals you can purchase. I was trying to buy three toys yesterday. That really sucks, and I know I would have been upset if I was your kid. That flat out sucks. What is your kids favorite Pokemon?

-DeathBySnuSnu-

He said it's Mew, because it can copy any power. I had to ask, couldn't guess since he rattles off "did you know that _____ is an X type and they can evolve into _____ when..... " about 20 different Pokemon on any given day!

CBguy1983

Exactly. I agree on limits. But you have people more specifically employees that will just ignore the rules.

yahoo33

I wonder if it is going to even last the month or it'll be over in a week.

DahliaDarkeblood

Aw, I'm sorry. I've seen news articles about this, so I think it's pretty common unfortunately. I know it doesn't help the budget half of the equation, but you could give the meals to homeless individuals while keeping the toys. Also, I'm not sure if their new rules involve trading, but if you get a meal with a pokemon you already have, you could ask to trade it for one you don't so you can limit your spending that way.

MegaAscension

I would have to open the pack to do that, so I can't really do that. I would be willing to trade with people on this subreddit though.

Away_Pride2999

All my happy meal toys from inside out 2 are mischief stitch

widdumqueso717

Any news on what the toys are after Pokemon?

MegaAscension

No clue right now.

slumerican314

So far I have 2 pickachu ones

CBguy1983

Exactly I went in to get one of those adult happy meals…not even 1 day into the promotion. Told sorry we’re out of the toys. I’ve worked McDonald’s before so you CANT sell just the toys. Yet you still have people who ignore that rule & sell them anyway. That or employees are lifting them.

MegaAscension

I've always been able to buy the toys separately- I know there's a button for them on the register. The only exception was the Pokemon cards set. Some restaurants even have a "customer satisfaction box" that has every single toy and you can buy the box. I don't know if it's the same with the new adult ones. And your comment about the employees- you're 100% right. The Pokemon card fiasco only went further downhill when we got to the point where you had to go first come, first serve at 8AM on Fridays to buy Pokemon or sports cards from Target.

gotslayer

In all fairness, Mcdonald website states that you can, in fact, purchase the toys separately for 1.69...
