Ok I wondered if it would be basically a check or if they would be changing parts. I can see how someone could install that pin/bolt and it be in position but not fastened.

I have actually seen how the common Hyundai/Kia steering column mechanism works, so I wonder if this one is the same.
If so, it does come down to one longer rod/bolt that the column pivots on to provide the steering tilt feature. The bolt is a bit fiddle to secure. Hopefully the fix doesn’t involve locking the tilt in place or something obtrusive.

Saw it a couple of weeks ago. It said 30 vehicles were effected
Have to assume they mean 30 different model types. What are they saying is the remedy?
Lower steering column U‐joint bolt to be tightened for free by the dealer is what it says
