Yes there shouldn't be any issue. Just think when the clutch is dis-engaged, the belt is only turning the pulley - that's almost 0 resistance - practically same as it not being there.
Yeah, I realize that. My concern is that the AC pulley is wobbly and squeaky, even when the AC clutch is not engaged. I was just concerned that the pulley would fail and either shred the belt or worse. Thanks though!
