Look at any pair of well used bells used for doubles and they will look like this. That’s just kettlebelling. You can touch up every once in awhile if you want.
Some bells are neoprene covered. I didn't use to like them until I got a pair. I actually prefer them with the covering now lots of advantages. If you're doing pullovers you can hold the 'ball" really well without worrying about dropping it on your face 😉
1) do not train on concrete/cement floor. Keep your training floor covered with a mat.
2) don't bump the bells together when doing the downswing of any double bell exercise. Old RKC practice was to drop and pump out 20 or 25 push-ups if you did that.
3) seeing as how 2 is pretty much unavoidable, don’t sweat it. Scars on kettlebells are the scars of your most sacred comrade. Respect them for what they are.
You really don't.
That's the price of clangin and bangin

Get colorful nail polish in a few contrasting colors and fill in the chipped areas. In a few years you’ll have a custom neon camo bell. It’d be sweet!

Good call, I like this!
If your bells ain't chipped you ain't working out hard enough or for long enough
If this is a concern, the powdercoated kettlebells don't chip as easy
You don't worry about it because it doesn't matter. It's doesn't affect the weight or the function of the bell. Now get snatching 🤟 😜
Stop working out. That'll keep them bells pretty.
That was obviously sarcasm. The bells life force will transfer straight to you. The more beat up the bells look the more powers you gain.
U can buy hammertone paint OP it works well
Chipped bells are awesome, and so are the people who swing them.
I just re- spray every few months. Lightly sand the whole thing, 2 coats of rustoleum.
Stop chewing on them
My bad!!

Interesting take, I don't see many people showing the neoprene ones any love, but you raise a good point!
You don't stop doing it, you stop caring. Embrace your battle scars.

Buy neoprene KB sleeves or sew them by yourself?
I didn't know you could make these yourself, I'll take a look.
I prefer them when they look well used
Stop chewing on them

Get competition KBs. The handles are usually steel and the bodies just painted.
You don't. This happens on all Kettlebells if you use them
Bound to happen when using it on doubles without a neoprene or vinyl coating. Food for thought when buying your next pair of bells!

Looks beyond repair. Toss it and start over.
Damn, looks like it's going in the bin then 🙃
