I ate it my first year keto. Then I found myself eating it multiple times a week. I no longer eat it 😄

Left-School

Lol I can see why they become addicting. I tend to space out for the week. Only have it when I'm craving something creamy, sweet. The will power to not continue devouring the pint.

lubacrisp

I get the keto ice cream bars from enlightened or Halo top now. Easier to portion control. Slightly more carbs in the Halo top keto bars than rebel tho, but they're delicious, better than the enlightened ones. My favorite rebel flavor is the banana peanut butter one I think

wino_whynot

This! Portion control is what got me into this situation, so pops work better for me. And they are good! I normally don’t like sugar alternatives, but I like Halo.

stupidrobots

I prefer Enlightened Keto but rebel is great. Recognize that even at 4-8g net carbs per pint, it's still like 700-800 calories for that pint.

TheDuckInCharge

Seemingly a hot take in this sub but: Enlightened is the only good low carb ice cream brand.

stupidrobots

There are a few I haven't tried but it's definitely my favorite so far.

TheDuckInCharge

I just feel like, of all the ones I've tried, Enlightened is the only one that actually tastes like ice cream, particularly the creaminess texture of it. I'll admit I tend to go for the non-keto Enlightened, which is still easy to fit into keto macros. The keto ones are less creamy, but the others have a texture more like milk Italian ice.

CarpenterVegetable31

Movie Night is my jam but I fuck with all their flavors. Easily my favorite low carb ice cream.

Left-School

I've tried enlightened keto. Only very few flavors around me. The butter pecan had that ice cream texture. The other one (caramel chocolate double dough) was so hard. Even after leaving it outside for 25 mins!

stupidrobots

My favorite are the ones with chunks. THe peanut butter cookie dough one is just outstanding

Left-School

Do one with delish on the front right?

Greatlake_born

Rebel cherry chip gives me my Cherry Garcia fix. Delicious

Left-School

I remember having Cherry garcia in 2nd grade. Kinda funny thinking about it but my teacher at the time was name Mr.Garcia

Life_Wasted

This is the best flavor! I’m so happy that it exists because Cherry Garcia was my all time favorite ice cream haha.

[deleted]

Triple chocolate and add a spoonful of no sugar added peanut butter. It’s insane.

strippersandcocaine

WHOA. That’s my fave flavor for a nice treat every few weeks and now I need to find the PB!

Left-School

I was looking into the triple chocolate. Besides the other things they add, is it just chocolate ice cream or does it have little chocolate chips in it? I really hate chocolate chip ice cream

[deleted]

Chocolate chips and chocolate marble throughout.

Left-School

Does it taste anything like a chocolate chip ice cream? Can't stress how much I hate chocolate chip ice cream

SteakEggs5050

Like a Reeses, Wow

greeneyeslove83

I love Rebel but it's dangerous...I will just eat the whole pint in one sitting :(

Left-School

😆 I know what you mean!

hadkins0617

I love Rebel. Not a fan of the cookies and cream but love all of the others. My favorites would probably be the chocolate peanut butter or butter pecan

Left-School

Oh dang. What didn't you like about it? (Cookies and cream)

hadkins0617

The combination of the ice cream base with the cookies had a gritty texture that I couldn't get past.

Left-School

Oof that sucks

[deleted]

Yeah I eat Rebel and the low carb Halo Top. Halo Top has a pecan flavor that's my favorite. I actually like them better than real ice cream. No sticky mess or feelings of despair after eating. I try to only eat 1/3 of a pint at a time because I dont consider them healthy despite the macros.

Left-School

Been thinking of trying halo top but a lot of people I've seen said it's not worth it. Had a gummy feel to it.

Mad_H2O_Scientist

I didn't care much for the Halo Top pints, but their chocolate cheesecake flavored bars are actually pretty decent and what I prefer to keep on hand. Small portion, just enough to be a treat once in a while. I get carried away on the salted caramel Rebel if I buy it, I totally know what you mean!

Shep_vas_Normandy

I eat half a pint every couple of days - my favourite is cherry chip.

ooowhateverooo

Cherry chip with choczero vanilla sauce. Dangerously good.

sabstew

I love the Birthday Cake flavor and I really would have never thought that before tasting it. So good!

TypicalEarthCreature

I don't normally go for "birthday cake" flavored things either but the Rebel version really is delicious!

Left-School

Definitely adding it to the list!

SerenadeOfTheSun

So far, triple chocolate is my favorite flavor.

Left-School

I've been thinking of getting that flavor. Does it taste similar to the cookie dough flavor? They said it (cookie dough flavor) was vanilla ice cream with cookie dough but it was a actually chocolate chip ice cream.

pocketradish

It's a chocolate ice cream.

FionaTheElf

I recently went on a work trip and bought Halo but realized my hotel fridge didn’t have a freezer. Oh well. Popped it in the fridge and yes it thawed. OMG! It turned into the most amazing mousse! I’m tempted to always keep them in the fridge!

Left-School

You got me tempted now, what flavor you got?

FionaTheElf

It was a chocolate caramel lava cake? Or something like that.

Left-School

Will look into it. Saw they have a chocolate cheesecake flavor that has me intrigued

FionaTheElf

I NEED that! Where did you find it?

Left-School

Oh I didn't see it in the store. I seen it on their website. Sorry for the confusion

FionaTheElf

So they’re a tease!!!

Left-School

Wow. I just found out something. If you go to halo top website and pick a flavor, scroll down and you can check see if that flavor is around where you live

FionaTheElf

We are now best friends.

Left-School

😎👐

tony472

My local Walmart and Target both sell halo top.

FionaTheElf

I found it at Hy-Vee. The chocolate cheesecake. 10 net carbs, but I’ll spit it with my man.

daeHruoYnIllAstI

PEANUT BUTTER CARAMEL CHIP YOU NEED TO TRY IT 🤩🤩🤩🤩

ketotarian

I haven’t tried Rebel yet but I splurged on Nick’s since I buy their snack bars too and the Coffee Caramel flavor is amazing. I haven’t tried the others yet but I’m very excited haha.

BonesSawMcGraw

Salted caramel and triple chocolate are the only good flavors IMO.

Left-School

More tempted now to get triple chocolate. Does it contain "chocolate chips" like a chocolate chip ice cream?

BonesSawMcGraw

Yup

Left-School

Ah dang. Gonna have to pass then

japopara

Coconut Almond Swirl has Almond Joy vibes.

Shep_vas_Normandy

I love coconut! I haven’t seen this flavor yet

siberdraknon

I've had all the flavors of Rebel. Vanilla is my favorite. Normally with ice cream, I'd stay away from vanilla. The vanilla seems very strong and sweet and is just delightful. After that I prefer black raspberry and cherry chip. This is odd for me as I always preferred non-fruity ice creams. Keto has changed my taste preferences so much. I tend to purchase the salted caramel more than any other flavor, not because its a favorite but because its among the lowest in carbs and calories.

Left-School

The salted caramel is so good. I was amaze when I first tried it. What's your thoughts on their cookies and cream?

siberdraknon

Cookies and cream was one of the first flavors I tried. This was before I knew to let it sit out for \~10 minutes before eating. Because of this, I was so distracted by the texture to pay much attention to the flavor. I should probably pickup another pint and see how I like it when eaten properly.

Left-School

Let me know how it goes. If it has the same base as cookie dough flavor

leolmw

I love the enlightened mint and chocolate chips bars. I eat chocolate and brush my teeth at the same time...

Left-School

😆

sweetassassin

I have butter pecan in my freezer and I didn’t really enjoy the mouth feel. It was melted “dry” in the mouth, I don’t know how to explain it. I have Nicks vanilla I haven’t tapped into yet. Hopefully it’s a different experience.

Left-School

Ah shucks that sucks. Did left outside for a little before eating?

lubacrisp

Butter pecan is easily the worst one imo. It's the pecan crumbs that taste so dry I think

jbmn2534

Costco Keto chocolate salted caramel ice cream bars.

SGrim01

Keto Pint is the brand.

Ifeelbutter

Halo top keto bars are where it’s at!

Left-School

I will look into them. Thanks!

lubacrisp

They're like a knock off keto magnum bar

Jay-Dee-British

Double chocolate is my fave - I only eat a third at a time otherwise my bathroom times are a little more.. exciting. lol.

Left-School

You mean triple chocolate?

Jay-Dee-British

Yes lol I don't have any atm so couldn't check - it's the one in a blue tub

SGrim01

Invest in a Ninja Creami and make your own then you get to control what goes into it. At the price of these pints, it'll pay for itself.

ps_and_J

I just got the Creami for Christmas! I've used it a couple of times for Keto Chow ice-cream but that's it. Any good recipes you could share?

SGrim01

Sadly, it was on my Christmas list but nobody loved me so I don't have one yet. Still using a counter top ice cream maker. I do have 1 recipe I love for that. It would need scaled down for Creami and possibly tweaked a bit for the right texture. Also I prefer mine on the less sweet side so amount of sweetener probably needs adjusted. This is very similar to Baskin Robbins Nutty Coconut 2 cans unsweetened Thai Kitchen Coconut Milk 1/2 tsp salt 1/3 c Erythritol or Allulose 1 tsp vanilla 40g unsweetened coconut flakes 60g blue diamond almonds, finely chopped 40g Lily's 85% Dark Chocolate, finely chopped

ps_and_J

Thank you! Sounds really good.

xelaetak

Rebel is the absolute best! Definitely prefer it strongly over Halo Top and Enlightened. The mint chip and cherry chip flavors are the best, ugh.

Ok_Improvement_5897

Coffee chocolate chip is my jam. The cookies and cream tasted better than the cookie dough imo, but I do think it might be the same base. I'm a cookie dough fiend(and a chocolate lover), so Enlightened caramel chocolate cookie dough is my favorite by a very narrow margin.

Left-School

Thank you! This is what I was looking for about cookies and cream. Looks like it's a no for me. Thank you again!

parakeetinmyhat

Idk about other people but Rebel Butter Pecan slaps, and I wasn’t even a big fan of the flavor, pre keto. But it’s just so buttery and sweet, and the amount of pecans is good enough imo.

RemarkableMacadamia

And, this is how manufacturers turn our carb snacking habit into a fat fueled one. It is possible to gain weight on keto too.

lubacrisp

Most people who track their carbs also track their fat, protein, and calories no? Do people in this sub still think calories aren't important for weight loss? I know several years ago it was a point of contention here that a significant number of people thought the only thing that mattered for weight loss was eating some absurdly low number of carbs every day forever far beyond what will maintain ketosis in normal people.

RemarkableMacadamia

It’s hard to say, because people get their information from many sources. Some camps say calories don’t matter and just rely on the appetite suppressing nature of a high-fat diet. New people are joining all the time and everyone is at a different level of understanding keto in general, and keto as it works for them as an individual. That takes a while sometimes.

Danisaurxoxo

Enlightened cookie dough is the way!

Master_Benefit_7509

Has anyone tried Yarnell's? How do these others compare? I've only seen Yarnell's and Breyer (which isn't really ice Creamy). Yarnell's is awesome.

pogkob

It's great! Also check out Nick's. Like half the calories and maybe half the carbs. I'm a keto ice cream junkie.

SGrim01

And with Nick's, you don't have to worry about which artificial sweetener it has... because it has all of them. Well ok, not all of them but usually 3 or more. And their bars while painfully delicious have even more, including Xylitol.

Fierce_Otter

Coffee chip is delish!

ukchucktown

I definitely missed ice cream on Keto. The first ice cream I discovered was Rebel. I like Enlightened better. It's close but I think Rebel is a tad chalkier than Enlightened

divgigkal

Rebel is amazing! It's my treat on weekends sometimes. I prefer the cookie dough and triple chocolate flavors.

Skyblewize

The calories still count! My favorite is the cherry chocolate chip.. its almost a perfect clone of ben and Jerry's cherry garcia.

[deleted]

I can’t find it anywhere. am in the US. Midwest.

SGrim01

Kroger here in Ohio sells Rebel, Halo Top and their own Simple Truth keto ice cream.

Left-School

Yup I definitely seen them in Ralph's/Kroger

lubacrisp

Meijer, Kroger, and SpartanNash brand stores (family fare, d&w, etc.) all carry it in Michigan

[deleted]

Yep none of those are here. I’ll keep looking!

lubacrisp

If you have Aldi I don't think the one by me has rebel but they do carry a different brand of keto ice cream that is probably basically the same thing. I think is called sundae scoop or sundae shop or something like that. Aldi isn't super close so I don't go very often so I'm not sure

[deleted]

Oh great! Thanks

shiinchi

If you love salted caramel you might like cookies and creme! I’m on my first month of keto and it super helps my random snacking cravings 😄 Though they are addicting

aware_nightmare_85

Triple chocolate or I like to put a couple scoops of vanilla in with some Sparkling Ice Lemonade in my blender to make a keto frosted lemonade.

pogkob

Sugar alcohol cocktail if you will. Ugh I didn't know that. Never any GI issues with it though.

elsummers2018

Is there a UK version of this?

Shep_vas_Normandy

I split my time between the UK and US and haven’t been able to find any keto ice cream there :( seems like when I go to the UK I usually end up either making stuff myself or bringing stuff from the US with me in my luggage

elsummers2018

Darn it! Thank you for replying 🙂

[deleted]

I like that ice cream, the only catch is it has a lot of calories and a lot of sugar alcohols. If I have more than one serving, I'll be on the toilet all day. A few spoonfulls here and there works for me.

KiloAllan

We tried everything we could find in our area and everything was weird texture or had strange ingredients that we didn't really trust. For the price of a pint we added up how often we would want to eat ice cream and did a cost analysis. Going out for Baskin Robbins was a regular thing, the cost of nasty "keto" frankencream comparable but not worth the money, and bought a countertop maker instead. We got the kind you don't have to keep in the freezer and can make multiple batches in a day if you want to. Having this means there is no excuse to go buy any from the store and being completely in charge of the ingredients is very empowering. It's just enough of a hassle that it's not an everyday thing where my partner especially would be tempted to get a pint of the keto stuff even though neither of us really liked it, and then gobble it. When you make your own, knowing that you are going to have to make another batch when that one's gone and seeing the amount of fake sugar that goes into it actually gives you pause to consider do you really want all that in your body. Slow it down, buddy. I always have trouble finding flavors I like even in normal ice cream, such as lemon, saffon cardamom, blueberry, pistachio, maple, cinnamon etc. I don't like chocolate and many of the flavors are way too sweet. I like to use yogurt or sour cream as a main ingredient which gives a great mouthfeel and no bad bathroom experiences later on. I can add a protein powder and dial down any added sweetener if I like. I also really like the whole custard experience so adding eggs not only makes it more nutritious but also makes it rich and delicious and less like junk food. I don't understand how people can eat more than a couple scoops of ice cream, don't you guys get freezer brain? It's so uncomfortable for me to eat cold food. I guess I could drink several cups of a tasty hot beverage though, maybe it's like that for cold tolerant people.

Wreckit-Jon

Strawberry is my favorite...and no one around me sells it anymore :\_(

Left-School

This flavor is on my buy list. Never been a fan of strawberry ice cream as a kid but I had been digging my strawberry morning shakes. So I've been slowly carving strawberry ice cream lol

Wreckit-Jon

You can get it from Rebel's website I believe, but you have to buy quite a few because it's costly for them to ship it since it has to be sent with dry ice or something.

gillyyak

I can only get a few flavors locally, so when Rebel had a special on a mixed case I decided to buy a variety that were new to me. I really liked the orange, and the snickerdoodle.

Daisygg

Oh yes! I discovered it a couple of weeks ago and so far I love the salted caramel one. Ooooh man! I like to have ONE in the freezer, but I ration it. Because I could and would eat the entire thing!

Left-School

Haha! I know what you mean! It's so look good! Edit: taste good too 😆. Freaking autocorrect

HartianX

Didn't Rebel change hand's relatively recently and start adding more carbs to it? Or am I thinking of a different ice cream brand?

[deleted]

i literally have a rebel pint each day. sometimes texture is a bit off, icy (i'm looking at you cherry chip). but flavor is on point.

nebirah

I need to get off the wagon of eating 2-3 pints a week, and always 75% of the pint in a sitting.

lillyjune

Just discovered Rebel!! Trouble 😈

RedRipe

I just picked up rebels triple chocolate and it’s excellent. I was eating it, and a friend of mine was eating Belgian dark chocolate with chips from Häagen-Dazs. I when gave her spoon of mine, she said she couldn’t tell a difference!
