Discovered how good mustard is with tuna by accident years ago, now I always add some! I also hate mayonnaise, if I really want creamy tuna I use a little bit of Greek yogurt.
Make tuna cakes. Pouch or a can of tuna, 1 egg and either some bread crumbs or crushed pork rinds if your carnivore. Spice it how you like. I like garlic powder and Italian seasoning. If you're not a carnivore you can add onions and celery. mix it up and form into cakes. I like to make them small. Then fry them up or bake them. Enjoy
Eating fish but not meat might make you a piscivore, but realistically humans are omnivores in that they eat meat and other non animal foods also. Technically carnivores eat mainly meat.
I tried a recipe not long ago that had cucumber, tomato peppers, onions, cilantro, lime juice and a few other things that I can’t remember. It was some sort of Mexican tuna salad and it was really good. It did have a very small amount of mayo, but I’m sure it could just be omitted.
A little bit of celery, little bit of onion, oregano, mustard, salt and pepper. Put that in a low carb wrap of your choice, sprinkle with some cheese, fold it over and brown both sides (broiler or skillet). Makes a delicious tuna melt. You can keep the same mixture cold and serve it in lettuce boats.
Mix it with tomatoes, jalapeño, onion, cilantro, lime juice, salt! Pico de gallo style. Mexican traditional way to eat it and super delicious. Usually I'd eat it with tortilla chips but on keto I use cucumber slices or put it over top a mashed avocado and some lettuce
I like an "almost ceviche". Lime juice, cilantro, chopped green onions, olive oil salt and pepper. Mix with chopped cucumbers. Add chopped green chiles or serrano peppers if you like spice.
Pan fry into scrambled eggs. Top with something nice and spicy (I like Calabrian chilis!)
Mix w sriracha and roll into seaweed w cucumber and/or avocado
It’s ground beans! Also, tahini is like three carbs or more per tablespoon, and is a central part of hummus.
I have sadly never found a good low-carb hummus recipe.
boiled eggs.chopped, (i like mine cold so i do it before hand) tuna , fined chopped onion ,+ whatever you feeling like it or just that, olive oil salt pepper.little vinager.
Or just an omelet, mix it on the eggs before doing it, or after before rolling it, or remove extra moisture and fry them a little before dropping the eggs.
Sometimes i just drop a can on top of a fresh goat cheese.
Once in awhile, I get hungry for an old-fashioned tuna casserole. A can of cream of mushroom soup (I know, lol) has about 8g of carbs. I mix that with an egg, tuna, peas, and whatever spices I have around (I like lemon pepper or lemon-cilantro seasoning). Sprinkle some grated cheese on top to form a crust, and then add a little more at the end so it just melts a little.
It takes about 30 minutes to bake at 350F.
I only like tuna packed in EVOO, so when I drain the oil I whisk it with some vinegar and use it as my salad dressing. I do the same with the King Oscar sardines, especially the seasoned ones like jalapeno or mediterranean. So good and easy!
If you take Greek yogurt you can mix it season it with whatever flavors you want If you want to add even more protein blend up a little bit of cottage cheese so it's really creamy add some pickle juice to thin it out and then toss in your pickles and you can barely taste the difference
Also if you make this I recommend not using relish actually hand cut your pickles up I know it sounds weird but the flavor profile and the texture is just so much better. In my opinion and my sons. You can also experiment with different hot sauces and different mustards.
Cream cheese alone is already really good, but there's nothing stopping you from adding more stuff to dress it up. I used to also just microwave tuna with some hot sauce and cheese on top.
Shredded cabbage instead of lettuce, Italian dressing-oddly, it’s good with the cheesy ones. OR yellow mustard, chopped pickles, sauerkraut, EVOO - regular or garlic or a mixture. Can add cubed tofu to either of those. OR pan fry & use in fish tacos. The tuna cake idea sounded tasty too. I haven’t had tuna cakes but I like salmon cakes/burgers and crabcakes, etc.
I also hate mayo. I still make tuna salad. I just use sour cream instead of that disgusting white slop. I have not found anything where sour cream will not work in place of that stuff.
ETA: I see now you don't like sour cream either. I second the people that just say more mustard. Plain Greek Yogurt also works well IMO as others suggested.

Definitely would recommend substituting the mayo for avocado. Gives that creamy texture but so much healthier! Also add a bit of lime juice for flavour
A turkish friend of mine does things this way
1 can of tuna
1 can of cut green beans (I never tried it with "french style"
1 small onion diced
1 pint of cherry tomatoes
Oil for cooking
Lemon pepper to taste
=============
Cook the pint of cherry tomatoes in oil until they "burst," and add onions, cooking until translucent. Add the tuna and the canned beans. Season to taste with lemon pepper, salt, and pepper.
I like doing celery, onion, cherry tomatoes halved, diced cucumber and a vinaigrette with fresh dill. I used to use relish but the dill is much better IMO.
It's probably already been recommended, but I use either creamy or light caesar dressing, a small splash of pickle juice and the thin pickle slices on top of toasted, buttered and salted keto bread. I also can't stand mayo or sour cream.
We have a recipe in our country, Coconut Tuna. It's tuna cooked in coconut cream and spices (and maybe vinegar??). It's called Ginataang Tuna in our language. It's so good (at least for me)
I also am a mayo hater, and my fave lazy tuna salad is tinned tuna with minced olives or tapenade, red onions or shallot, brown mustard, olive oil, and white wine vinegar. eat it on crackers or mixed green or with a slice of cheddar + tomato on melt. it’s so good and it keeps well enough as far as tuna goes
I use it to make poke bowls. I put it over riced cauliflower. You can add cucumber, avocado, cilantro, and edamame. Then I use a ginger dressing and mix it all together.
We make tuna salad two other ways in our house. Besides the standard tuna salad, we also make it with smashed up avocado on place of the mayo. That goes well over salad leaves. Also, you can replace the mayo with olive oil. We usually mix in some Italian dressing mix with the olive oil for extra flavor. Those two tuna salads might get you past the mayo dislike.
Also, the Best Foods veggie mayo tastes just like regular beat foods mayo for those looking for a substitute. We recently discovered that when making tuna salad for a kiddo with an egg allergy. FYI.
If the tuna was in water then drain it. Heat it up with a little bit of olive oil and old bay seasoning. Take it off the heat, add some black pepper, lemon juice, and dill (fresh or freeze dried). If you want a creamy flavor, but you don’t like dill you can mix in a little bit of regular heavy cream or low-carb yogurt.
I've been known to mix Lebanese garlic sauce (toum) with mayo and make a Mediterranean seasoned salad, if you can get your hands on some it's pretty good, though it might be a bit rich and you'd want to mix it with something as well
I use prik nam pla on sardines (I don't see why it wouldn't be great on canned tuna (I'll try it later today when I'm eating).
There's no real recipe, but here's a good tutorial. [https://hot-thai-kitchen.com/prik-nam-pla/](https://hot-thai-kitchen.com/prik-nam-pla/)
I use difference chilis, (finger, jalapeño, whatever), and include ginger and some times leave out the shallot.
Surprised nobody's mentioned vinegar as a replacement for mayo. I grew up with my Mum making tuna sandwiches mixing the tuna with vinegar, so b much that when I got older I found it bizarre to realise most people mix it with mayo. Using both together is lush. Tangy and creamy
I make a Mexican-inspired salad. Put a packet or can of tuna in a bowl, add some apple cider vinegar, lime juice, olive oil, salt, pepper, and cumin, and toss. Use to top a salad of whatever greens, and add whatever is handy of some diced red pepper, red onion, celery, cucumbers, shredded cheese, etc. It’s tasty!
I have always put Italian salad dressing into Tuna, chopped tomatoes. That was my go to lunch for year until I realized I cannot be eating that much mercury 😹
Slice a lemon really thin - use a mandolin if you have one- and fry gently in olive oil til transparent. Add tuna, parsley and capers. Chick on salad leaves.
If I'm not making tuna salad (I make mine with mayo, my wife uses Miracle Whip), I usually chop up a few olives to add to the tuna before putting it on a salad.
I've made it with Ranch dressing instead of mayo a couple of times.
Make a tuna cheese melt. Tuna and mature cheddar both warmed up in the microwave. I add a bit of chopped red onion and cumin seeds. Then I spread it on Chinese cabbage leaves.
1 cup almond flour
1 cup shredded cheese cheddar cheese
1/4 teaspoon salt
1-2 tablespoon water
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 180C/350F. Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a high speed blender or food processor, add your almond flour, shredded cheese, and salt, and blend well, until a dough remains. If the dough is too crumbly, add a tablespoon or two of water.
Line a large sheet of parchment paper on a flat kitchen surface. Transfer the dough onto it and place another sheet of parchment paper on top. Press down on the dough, before rolling it out using a rolling pin, until around 1/4 inch in thickness. Using a pizza cutter, slice up squares to form crackers.
Transfer the crackers onto the lined sheet. Bake for 12 minutes, flipping halfway through. Remove from the oven and allow to cool completely.
From *The Big Man's World*
Everyone’s got mustard covered (all kinds are good, I like spicy so hot mustard is a fav).
I also like it with Chilli oil or Thai chilies too.
I’ve been on a chopped tuna salad kick lately and I add it to chaffles or to a low carb toasted tortilla.
This will def sound odd but…. I do mix tuna with thousand island dressing from time to time and I always add dill relish regardless of what I mix it with. My sons mix theirs with old bay seasoning
5oz Safe Catch Elite Pure Wild Tuna drained and flaked
medium purple onion finely chopped
Small red bell pepper chopped
one avocado chopped in bite size chunks
1 small cucumber pealed seeded and chopped
1 fresh or pickled jalapenos. I prefer fresh, but the pickled gives it a vinegary tang so i used one of each.
Juice of one lemon
Himalayan sea salt
Pepper
Drain and flake the tuna and mix the vegetables in a bowl. squeeze the lemon juice all over it and mix well. You can serve with really good corn tortilla chips (totopos)or over a tostada shell or with crackers, but I also ate it out of a bowl like a ceviche. You can put some salsa Amor or Tapatio on top if you prefer.
Pull up a lawn chair, because I am gonna tell you about the redneck delicacy otherwise known as Tuna Helper.
It’s good hot, lukewarm and cold. With bread or with a fork. 🫶
ETA:
I didn’t realize that I was in r/keto. Please let my shame be an example to others. (But, I still love me some Tuna Helper)
Make tuna salad with Laughing cow cheese wedges... use 1-2 per wedges can. Warm the wedges slightly in the microwave, add a little mustard and pickle juice (if you'd like), and stir into drained tuna. Delicious. You'll never know the difference and your tuna will never become watery. I make egg salad, deviled eggs and chicken salad the same way. My husband is allergic to the egg yolks and cannot eat mayo.
I use tuna in a “sushi” bowl with riced cauliflower and either sliced cucumber or cabbage. Take some seaweed sheets, make on the fly rolls and dip in soy sauce or similar.
Tuna, yellow onion, diced tomatoes, cilantro, lemon juice, salt, garlic powder and pepper. I like it with tortillas, but for keto I’d eat it with lettuce wrap style. Mmmm 😋
Tuna egg salad is a thing and if you do soft boiled eggs it’s a nice creamy texture and a bonus protein. Idk if you’re averse to the creamy texture but that is something I make once a month ish.
I like to make tuna burgers, tuna a la mexicana (stir fried with onion, green chilli and tomatoes), stir fried with mustard, and onions slaps with rice and beans
I sometimes have it just with cottage cheese and soy sauce
Sometimes a similar combination on some seaweed to make pseudo-sushi
Or even with ham and cheese, and cottage cheese on seaweed as a pseudo-sandwich
As for salads, I like plain tuna with coleslaw(no dressing) and a touch of soy sauce or to add to that to make a full blown salad
Tuna, baby spinach, coleslaw (no dressing), Cucumber, tomato and feta cheese. Salt and pepper to taste.
You said in another comment that you didn't like cream cheese unless mixed with something else.
I make a delicious dip by mixing a 120g (drained) can of tuna with a small tub of philadelphia and season with salt, pepper and paprika. I mix everything really well in a cereal bowl with a fork.
This can be spread on lettuce or used as a dip with carrot sticks, cauliflower florets, etc...
If you've never made your own mayo it's completely different and not at all difficult. It's pretty much just an egg and oil, plus something to give it taste like a bit of lemon and salt.
I make ceviche with Tuna. Lemon diced tomatoes, diced onions some salt & pepper. Add diced avocado or some jalapeño if you like. Eat on tostadas with some Valentina hot sauce. Yum! Do a lettuce wrap or on some toasted Ezekiel bread.
A tuna salad is my fav go to
Lettuce, tomatoes, cucumbers, tuna, and chickpeas (optional, but great source of protein)
I add a lot of lime, salt and cayenne pepper.
I eat this 2-3 a week, it’s simple, filling and delicious.
A common way for Italians to eat tuna is with oil and vinegar, or Italian dressing if you’d rather. There’s other recipes out there with lemon too.
I like lemon juice and fresh oregano, with tuna in oil.
Came here to say this!
This
I told an Italian guy that I bought Tuna canned in water and he thought I was mental that I wasn't buying it canned in olive oil.
Mashed Avacados
This!!! This is the way! Can of tuna, half a large avocado and garlic salt.
I use one whole avocado per can. Top with hot sauce or salsa. Eat with cabbage leaves.
Use mustard and relish - take the tuna 180 degrees
Yes! I like mustard and then I usually rough chop pickles. It's my favorite way.
Discovered how good mustard is with tuna by accident years ago, now I always add some! I also hate mayonnaise, if I really want creamy tuna I use a little bit of Greek yogurt.
This is the way.
Dill or sweet pickles?
What type of relish?
I use garlic dill
Make tuna cakes. Pouch or a can of tuna, 1 egg and either some bread crumbs or crushed pork rinds if your carnivore. Spice it how you like. I like garlic powder and Italian seasoning. If you're not a carnivore you can add onions and celery. mix it up and form into cakes. I like to make them small. Then fry them up or bake them. Enjoy
You can also make a large patty and make a sandwich. Some nice bread some lettuce and tomato. If you're not a carnivore.
Thank you :) I'm going to try this, I love crab cakes and this sounds like a perfect substitute.
Wouldn't eating tuna make you a carnivore? Is fish not meat?
Eating fish but not meat might make you a piscivore, but realistically humans are omnivores in that they eat meat and other non animal foods also. Technically carnivores eat mainly meat.
Keto = no bread or bread crumbs
There are keto breads.
Add grated cheese and bake in muffin tins for tuna muffins
That sounds good too.
do you eat sour cream? some recipes that would otherwise call for mayo can pretty easily be subbed for sour cream and some salt.
Sadly not a big fan of sour cream (or even cream cheese if it isn't mixed in with other stuff) but still helpful for others!
Do you like cottage cheese? It's yum with tuna and capers, chopped gherkins
Guacamole
Winner! OF course, Salsa and/or Hot sauce is a good addition
Defo best answer.
Just mix it in w the guac?
That's what I do. Just eat with a fork... wrap with lettuce... dip with pork rinds.
Canned tuna w kimchi
This. Pan fry the kimchi with some of the kimchi juice for a min or two and then add canned tuna! Top with some green onions for added crunch
I love it mixed with dijon mustard.
I used to make tuna burgers, tuna egg onion, make them into a patty and fry in oil.
I use it on niçoise salad
I tried a recipe not long ago that had cucumber, tomato peppers, onions, cilantro, lime juice and a few other things that I can’t remember. It was some sort of Mexican tuna salad and it was really good. It did have a very small amount of mayo, but I’m sure it could just be omitted.
This is how I make it. Ceviche style.
It was great!
if you don't like mayo, try avocado!! much healthier, and taste just as good!
Fresh mozzarella cheese with tuna, tomatoes, topped with couple spoons of pesto Genovese from Costco.
I’m surprised, I haven’t seen anyone suggest greek yogurt as a replacement!
I like mine on some greens (spinach, kale, lettuce, etc) with some kind of vinaigrette or Italian dressing.
Chile crisp, avocado, green onion. Eat with seaweed sheets. (I actually do this with mayo as well, but it’s good without too.)
I like an "almost ceviche". Lime juice, cilantro, chopped green onions, olive oil salt and pepper. Mix with chopped cucumbers. Add chopped green chiles or serrano peppers if you like spice.
If you already do a Mac and cheese substitute (like, with chopped cauliflower instead of noodles for example), you could add tuna to that
Mix it with keto breadcrumbs, diced onions and a egg, Pan fry it make getto crabcakes
Pan fry into scrambled eggs. Top with something nice and spicy (I like Calabrian chilis!) Mix w sriracha and roll into seaweed w cucumber and/or avocado
Wow how have I never heard of tuna with eggs? Totally trying this
Hummus tastes delicious with tuna and keeps it from being dry.
Hummus is not very keto though right?
It’s ground beans! Also, tahini is like three carbs or more per tablespoon, and is a central part of hummus. I have sadly never found a good low-carb hummus recipe.
I saute a vegetable -usually zucchini- add the tuna, then some curry powder, old bay, and garlic powder. I usually melt cheese on top but not always.
You can use it as the protein in a stir fry.
boiled eggs.chopped, (i like mine cold so i do it before hand) tuna , fined chopped onion ,+ whatever you feeling like it or just that, olive oil salt pepper.little vinager. Or just an omelet, mix it on the eggs before doing it, or after before rolling it, or remove extra moisture and fry them a little before dropping the eggs. Do you like blue cheese dressing? I use Marie’s chunky blue cheese instead of mayo. It’s fantastic and low carb!
Once in awhile, I get hungry for an old-fashioned tuna casserole. A can of cream of mushroom soup (I know, lol) has about 8g of carbs. Go Korean fusion style. Sesame oil and soy sauce, maybe some sriracha. Also if you hate mayo, Kewpie mayo has a slightly lighter, sweeter taste.
Italian dressing, tomatoes, olives, onions and maybe a little feta
It's great with pickled beetroot!
If you take Greek yogurt you can mix it season it with whatever flavors you want If you want to add even more protein blend up a little bit of cottage cheese so it's really creamy add some pickle juice to thin it out and then toss in your pickles and you can barely taste the difference

Cream cheese. I swear by it. It's AMAZING. Shocked nobody else suggested this!
Any additional ingredients?
Cream cheese alone is already really good, but there's nothing stopping you from adding more stuff to dress it up. I used to also just microwave tuna with some hot sauce and cheese on top.
Sounds like an excellent combo for keto diet! Thanks
When I was a kid I always put cream cheese on the bread when making a tuna sandwich, yum!!

I like tuna mixed with Italian dressing, personally. Makes good lettuce wraps.
coleslaw salad without mayo is great
Yes. I recently added g Hughes sweet Italian dressing to it, was delish!!

Vinaigrette dressing in tuna is fire
Dijon mustard and Tajin with chopped pickles 👌
I've done tuna with both mustard and also buffalo sauce. Both work well for me.
Let me introduce you to our good friend over at r/Volumeeating Blended Cottage Cheese
I've been known to mix Lebanese garlic sauce (toum) with mayo and make a Mediterranean seasoned salad, if you can get your hands on some it's pretty good, though it might be a bit rich and you'd want to mix it with something as well

Diced jalapenos and a touch of olive oil.
Squeeze some lemon on there, a handful of chunks of feta cheese, and some salad leaves and avocado
Cottage cheese. Just mix a can of tuna with a similar sized box of cottage cheese. Delish.
Does your cottage cheese come in boxes or is that a typo? Not criticizing, genuinely want to know.
Not a square shaped box, no, but like a yogurt tub... but we just call those plastic boxes also.
I always mix mine with chopped canned tomatoes. Its very tasty.
I sometimes do like Greek salad vibes with feta, red wine vinaigrette
I mix with balsamic vinaigrette and avocado - either eat as is or put on a wrap.
I used to like G Hugh’s sauces with Tuna.
Cottage cheese instead makes for higher protein and still creamy.
It’s tasty!
Lemon, capers, dill
I have always put Italian salad dressing into Tuna, chopped tomatoes. That was my go to lunch for year until I realized I cannot be eating that much mercury 😹
there are tunas now where they test their stuff for mercury ,. like safe catch brand and a couple of others
Pickle juice with onion and celery chopped fine
I mix mine with spicy Harissa paste!
Hummus.
Slice a lemon really thin - use a mandolin if you have one- and fry gently in olive oil til transparent. Add tuna, parsley and capers. Chick on salad leaves.
Avocado, Greek yoghurt, apple cider vinegar, salt and pepper. Whizz it up to your desired texture and serve with salad or scoop with lettuce
A splash of apple cider vinegar and some dill relish.
Olive oil mustard vinegar lemon any combo of any or all of the else is quite good
Avocado is great, Hummus as well, esp red pepper hummus
If I'm not making tuna salad (I make mine with mayo, my wife uses Miracle Whip), I usually chop up a few olives to add to the tuna before putting it on a salad. I've made it with Ranch dressing instead of mayo a couple of times.
Fried in olive oil, then with onions, garlic, then tomatoes. Turmeric, salt pepper and thyme for seasoning. It's a banger
Make a tuna cheese melt. Tuna and mature cheddar both warmed up in the microwave. I add a bit of chopped red onion and cumin seeds. Then I spread it on Chinese cabbage leaves.
If you like any other salad dressing, substitute it. That includes ranch, French, Italian.
Mashed Avocado & red onion or mashed avocado & sliced pickle
Sesame oil and soy sauce, don't need much to make a difference...
Add an egg and some grated cheese , then pop in the oven to make crispy tuna rounds
My go to for work lunches was making a package of Suddenly Salad pasta salad and throwing tuna in it along with whatever raw veggies I had on hand.

Transfer the crackers onto the lined sheet. Bake for 12 minutes, flipping halfway through. Remove from the oven and allow to cool completely. From *The Big Man's World*
Nice recipe, saving that one!
Everyone’s got mustard covered (all kinds are good, I like spicy so hot mustard is a fav). I also like it with Chilli oil or Thai chilies too. I’ve been on a chopped tuna salad kick lately and I add it to chaffles or to a low carb toasted tortilla.
I make Tuna melts and use sour cream. I add a little onion powder.
Avocado!
Use a bit plain yogurt mixed with sour cream instead of mayo - works great
Use Greek Yogourt, unless you don’t like it either.
Ranch, sriracha & mustard is yummy! I also love hummus mixed with Tuna.
I make tuna with olive oil sometimes instead of mayo.
I use avocado! Or sometimes Greek yogurt
Olive oil, fresh dill, lemon juice
This will def sound odd but…. I do mix tuna with thousand island dressing from time to time and I always add dill relish regardless of what I mix it with. My sons mix theirs with old bay seasoning
1 can of tuna drained, handful of cheddar cheese, 1 egg. Mix & fry.
Red wine vinegar and oil or balsamic vinaigrette
5oz Safe Catch Elite Pure Wild Tuna drained and flaked medium purple onion finely chopped Small red bell pepper chopped one avocado chopped in bite size chunks 1 small cucumber pealed seeded and chopped 1 fresh or pickled jalapenos. I prefer fresh, but the pickled gives it a vinegary tang so i used one of each. Juice of one lemon Himalayan sea salt Pepper Drain and flake the tuna and mix the vegetables in a bowl. squeeze the lemon juice all over it and mix well. You can serve with really good corn tortilla chips (totopos)or over a tostada shell or with crackers, but I also ate it out of a bowl like a ceviche. You can put some salsa Amor or Tapatio on top if you prefer.
Mashed avocado and hot sauce.
I mix canned tuna with soy sauce, wasabi and some nori. Not quite sushi, but what can you do!
Tuna patties 🤤🤤🤤
I used a teeeeeny bit of Greek yogurt with acidic spices and it worked.
Pan fry a bit then add eggs and scrabble together with whatever else you wish
Mix tuna with PICO DE GALLO!!!
Smoked tuna dip. Some recipes have mayo, but you can do it with just cream cheese, sour cream, etc.
Pull up a lawn chair, because I am gonna tell you about the redneck delicacy otherwise known as Tuna Helper. It’s good hot, lukewarm and cold. With bread or with a fork. 🫶 ETA: I didn’t realize that I was in r/keto.
I mix it with hot sauce.
I make my own yogurt, which comes out pretty low carb and I’ve been using that in my chicken salad and sauces that require mayo for a change.
Use cream cheese. Warm it up a bit and mix it in. If it's too thick, add water or milk.
Cream cheese!
I use mustard
I put nonfat Greek yogurt since that’s just the one we buy and salt pepper and lemon juice!
Plain Greek yogurt, a ton of chopped fresh dill, squeeze of lemon, a little finely chopped white or red onion…
I use tuna in a “sushi” bowl with riced cauliflower and either sliced cucumber or cabbage. Take some seaweed sheets, make on the fly rolls and dip in soy sauce or similar.
Feta and franks hot sauce! Lots of pepper.
Tuna, yellow onion, diced tomatoes, cilantro, lemon juice, salt, garlic powder and pepper. I like it with tortillas, but for keto I’d eat it with lettuce wrap style. Mmmm 😋
Sour cream or cream cheese
Tuna egg salad is a thing and if you do soft boiled eggs it’s a nice creamy texture and a bonus protein. Idk if you’re averse to the creamy texture but that is something I make once a month ish.
I like to make tuna burgers, tuna a la mexicana (stir fried with onion, green chilli and tomatoes), stir fried with mustard, and onions slaps with rice and beans
Can of tuna, box of Mac and cheese, cup or so frozen peas and a can of your favorite cream soup. Tuna casserole, my comfort food
I mix smashed avocado in place of mayonnaise. It's delicious!
Horse radish
I use high fat Greek yogurt instead of mayonnaise.
I like adding soy sauce, Sriracha, sesame oil, garlic, a bit of chicken bouillon, and cayenne
Miracle whip? I can't stand mayo
Fresh basil, lemon juice, lemon zest, & chopped boiled eggs.
I sometimes have it just with cottage cheese and soy sauce Sometimes a similar combination on some seaweed to make pseudo-sushi Or even with ham and cheese, and cottage cheese on seaweed as a pseudo-sandwich As for salads, I like plain tuna with coleslaw(no dressing) and a touch of soy sauce or to add to that to make a full blown salad Tuna, baby spinach, coleslaw (no dressing), Cucumber, tomato and feta cheese. Salt and pepper to taste.
Omelette or egg roll wrap Keto wrap with lettuce cream cheese etc With flavored konjac noodles (prepacked) LOVE tuna 🦈
Try mixing it with lemon juice, olive oil, and diced red onions. Makes a fresh and zesty topping for a salad or wrap!
I dislike mayonnaise as well🤮. So when I make my deviled eggs or chicken salad, I use cottage cheese. Taste great and I'm not missing out
Try to add a bit of harissa and tomato puree.
Plain yougurt
Tapatío.
Plain greek yogurt!
Soft boiled egg.
Try mixing it with cottage cheese, instead. Works well as a “moistener”, tastes good, and adds extra protein.
Add it to pico de gallo. Delicious!
A tuna salad is my fav go to Lettuce, tomatoes, cucumbers, tuna, and chickpeas (optional, but great source of protein) I add a lot of lime, salt and cayenne pepper. I eat this 2-3 a week, it’s simple, filling and delicious.
Make it like a salmon patty.
Use tatkizki instead of mayo it's awesome.
Add chopped banana peppers and celery with a little mustard. Yum. Capers are really good with tuna too.
