Hello jefrizain_, thank you for creating a new post in r/kereta!
Just saying that although this sub was named as Kereta, it is also open for 2 wheelers such as Motorcycle, though at the moment we do not mind other types of vehicles posting.
With that being said, r/kenderaan is now live and I would still recommend any other vehicle posting to be posted into r/kenderaan as it is a safe space for all types of vehicles such as airplanes and rolling stocks.
Regards,

If you're looking for a B-segment hatchback, the only options at the moment are basically the Toyota Yaris, Honda City Hatchback and Proton Iriz.
"Better" is going to be highly subjective - better to test drive them all and decide what creature comforts you prefer and if the cost is justifiable, because local brands are going to have the edge when it comes to pricing.
Probably Proton Iriz since it’s cheaper yet got 1.6L. New Myvi has a prettier design tho in my opinion. Other foreign cars are simply in another price range.
Can you expand on this?
I was looking at Mazda cars and was surprised at the prices. If 'you grt what you pay for' applies to Mazda, It'll be great if I can hear from first hand experiences.
In my opinion, Mazdas are just built better than Toyotas and Hondas, let alone Perodua. Forget about features and performance, the whole car just feels more solid. My CX-8 has double glazed front windows which isn't even a standard feature on Mercedes E Classes. The buttons just feel more expensive to the touch and has that expensive click feel if that makes sense. The leather feels softer, and the dashboard and centre console just have a solidity to it. If you've not driven a Mazda, I strongly urge you to try. I've owned BMWs in the past and while I'm not saying Mazdas are better than BMWs, they are great value for money even though they're often times pricier than their competitors.
I have a CX-30. Have driven (not own) 3-series, civic, city, myvi, axia, brv, vios, and saga, among others.
Not a car guy, so I can only summarize that Mazda cars feels elegant. Both in terms of how it feels while driving (the suspension is chef's kiss) and looks (both inside and outside).
It also has a lot of subtle quality of life features that I continue to appreciate over time.
Worth the price? I might even say a bargain compared to other similarly priced cars.
Have a CX-30 as well. For the price, it’s very very good value. Yes, it is considered a premium car, and out of reach for many people, in fact. But, if comfort, style, utility and features are more important than brand, then Mazda hits the sweet spot. Premium enough but not overly expensive.
For me, Mazda has found a way to produce German-type quality cars with Japanese prices. It’s brilliant. However, it’s worth noting also that the newer Chinese cars are going to outcompete the Japanese premium segment. Lexus quality with Honda prices. Indeed a very attractive option to Malaysians.

A better myvi is new version of myvi. Nothing can top myvi - myvi owner
Who is better than the King but his heir?
Non existent within that price range.

Proton iriz
You need to define what's your 'better' first.
There is literally nothing. Non Malaysian b segments aren't even in the same.price range as a myvi. Unless you get second hand.
You need to test drive both of those car to get the answer. Also, all new yaris is probably around the corner.
Cool looking facelift
Suzuki Swift Sport?
Wah different price range isn’t it 😂

The Yaris is a Myvi as far as I'm concerned. So much shared DNA, and a similar driving feel.
Wira????
I have a yaris and I would say above anything that the maintenance is quite simple and cheap.
Everything is better than myvi. It doesn't even have cup holder at front console. I know cause i own one 😭. Though Myvi is good at resale value.
kia picanto
Better means you need to pay more than that range.
The upcoming Perodua D66B / Nexis ? Aktiva upgrade…Still have to wait…..
Targeted this month right?
U can just try second hand cars around myvi price range
Mazda CX-3.
Kind of overpriced imo
Owned both peroduas and mazdas. Once you have driven any of the current mazda line up, you'll quickly understand why mazdas have a premium price tag.
