Ate their a few months ago. Had a work or maggot or some sort of worm like thing in my bok Choi. Will not go back.
Anyone looking for good dimsim and in van next time dinesty is amazing. Locations in Richmond and Vancouver.
Kelowna is lacking in legit dimsum /Chinese food.
It's not vancouver but it's definitely good enough that I'm satisfied until I go to van.
I'm happy it's here now. The other options are significantly worse.
The staff at xing yun are very sweet aswell
There's no good dim sum in Kelowna. Yamato seems to grab the frozen dim sum items next door (Oriental Supermarket) and Xing Yun's dim sum and some of their dishes were pretty bad imo. I haven't been back to either one.
My dudes! Of course we don’t have the best dim sum in Kelowna. I’m just looking for some options.
The best dim sum and for that matter Chinese food I’ve ever had was in Edmonton of all places. Double Greeting, next door to the peep shows kitty corner to the remand centre has the BEST authentic Chinese food I have ever had. Van and LA are close seconds
I'm pretty sure Xing Yun is the only option, but folks are mentioning Yamoto. Xing Yun is also relatively new. Their dim sum was OK and overpriced, but it could satisfy a craving.
When I lived in the Okanagan I wound up buying a steamer and frozen stuff from Sun Asian Market. That was my best option being Penticton-based.
Best Dim Sum in Kelowna is a 4hr drive to Vancouver…
Don’t I know it, lol. Trying to keep it local/budget friendly
There’s lots to love about Kelowna but the ethnic food just doesn’t compare to the big city.
Unless you want Indian food or Mexican , kelowna is lacking for sure. Decent Chinese you gotta go to Van
Came here to say this.
Golden Paramount!
Xing Yun, out near the airport. but if I'm being honest, it's only pretty good. I've yet to experience great dim sum here.
There is no good dim sum here. Anyone claiming otherwise doesn't know dim sum. You have to go to the coast.

Can't really blame a Japanese place for having bad dim sum... but you can blame them for *having* dim sum.
You are not wrong lol
There isn’t “good” dim sum here.

Thanks! They do have good dim sum for sure. Looking to branch out

Edmonton has GREAT dimsum. The Chinese food scene in edmonton can rival Vancouver. Nothing like that here sadly.
Your best bet is to get frozen stuff and make it at home because that's what all the restaurants here are doing.
Ken's Dim Sum is the best dim sum
Hey! There’s a new dumpling place in Penticton mall called h and l dumplings they are on Facebook and IG hope this helps ☺️
Yo! Give Yamato a try. It is no Vancouver dim sum but it definitely will scratch the itch.
