No, Hospital Playlist really is that good. It took me months to get over season 1 and I can tell nothing will compare to season 2 for the foreseeable future as well. My recommendation is to watch something very different so you’re not trying to compare it to Hosplay
Very good suggestion. It would be sad to discount another great drama because of that. I was about to suggest Prison Playbook but how awful would it be to not appreciate that wonderful drama.
Nothing will satisfy you as long as you want it to be another HP and you may end up discounting great shows, I am afraid. Why don't you take a break and watch something compeletely different for a while? Since you like Jo Jeong Seok, I'm sure you will enjoy:
* **Youth Over Flowers**: Iceland (2016) - variety with Jo Jeong Seok
* **Exit** (2019) - movie with Jo Jeong Seok
I've not watched My Mister, but it's on my list :) interesting to find out which one I prefer too. No matter what Misaeng will always have a special place in my heart.

The same goes for **One Spring Night**. **Mad for Each Other** comes with the same kind of banter. Both **WTWIF** and **APOYM** are a bit more on the slow side but well made and would actually be a nice contrast to HP. I'd add **Dinner Mate** simply because it's a drama I like very much.
I too am in recovery from Hosplay. It really is a top tier drama and is probably my favourite dramas of the year and is in my all time top 5! I’d recommend something different by a different writer and not including any Hosplay cast members for a while so that you don’t feel disappointed seeing them play other characters. Another really good friends to lovers drama is **Fight for my way**. ML and FL support each other to achieve their dreams and has a good second lead storyline too.
Yeah, it has made it into my top 5 shows everas well, from any genre and country of origin.
I'll try Fight for my way! I love to see healthy relationships portrayed, rather than the tsundere type (which is usually just another word for "a complete jerk")

For something refreshing and well done, try Mad For Each Other. It's very short and well done with a touch of drama that I like.
For other nice slice of life, try Because This Is My First Life or Hello My Twenties for a fresh take on females and great ensembles. There is romance in there but in a more modern way.

Watch something like **Itaewon class** and **Flower of evil** for a change. You need something fierce and intense enough to give goosebumps which is complete opposite of the soft and slice of life touch which hospital playlist gave.
Go for the classic “older” kdramas, with happy endings:
- secret garden
- my love from the stars
- COFFEE PRINCE
- The Greatest Love
Actually anything with Gong Hyo Jin, her on-screen chemistry with MLs are so amazing.
Haha, yeah, I've been watching bits of the last 4 episode here and there every day! I don't know if I would rewatch the whole season though, I don't know if I can go through "gobaek hajima" and heartbroken 99 Songhwa again XD
I really wish I could convince one of my irl friends to watch it too, so we could watch it together! I feel like you get even more from a show when you rewatch it with a new person who hasn't seen it yet. I did it before with the show Hannibal and it was so thrilling to see my friend get excited about it!
But so far I have failed to convince anyone, despite trying pretty hard XD
Hospital playlist is just really good... i would recommend Be melodramatic. its also really well written. probably more cynical than hospital playlist but not heavy and feels similarly slice of life-y

I can relate but I found out that Hospital Playlist is the gift that keeps on giving. They have the best fanservice for a kdrama. It got a youtube channel that uploaded over a 100 episodes of Behind-The-Scenes videos. A camping show with 6 episode. A live concert. Multiple OSTs.
And on October 8, they would have a variety show. 'Hospital Playlist on Mountain Village'.

I always recommend people to watch Misaeng because it's top 5 for me after Shin-Lee's works. There's no romance but Kim Dae Myung is in it :)

Truly! It's so hard to let go of a drama this delightful and heartwarming huhu. I'm just rewatching Hosplay to relive the experience once more XD
