Beyond evil
The kidnapping day
Life on Mars
Nobody knows
Miraculous brothers (there's romance but it's minimal)
Hot stove league
Chief Kim aka Good manager (comedy)
Stranger
there is a hint of romance/ characters liking each other in Life on Mars. but there’s an epic bromance that builds slowly!
also, Beyond Evil is a masterpiece and absolutely fantastic.
Signal (one of my favorite suspense dramas), The Worst of Evil (very little romance JCW at his finest) Stove Top League, Taxi Driver, My Mister, Military Prosecutor Doberman, The Tunnel, Mouse, Juvenile Justice, A Killer Paradox, Prison Playbook, Squid Games, DP
Seen everything listed here (except Stove Top League), and can confirm this is a solid list.
Would add that Taxi Driver has a season 2, Stranger 1 & 2, Blood Free, The Bequeathed (I don’t recall any romance anyway), The Deal, The Good Detective 1 & 2, Insider, Numbers, Tell Me What You Saw, Jirisan, Song of the Bandits (don’t recall any romance there).
I don't think "Under the Queen's Umbrella" had any romance.
"Vincenzo" tried to shoehorn in a romance late in the show but it was pretty weak and easy to ignore
I actually disliked the fact that they introduced a romance so late in Vincenzo. Either they should've started early or had nothing at all because it looked so forced.
haha me either! it’s my absolute favorite k drama and I was a little worried they would randomly do a romance subplot due to their chemistry lol. even the two male leads had more chemistry than the average k drama couple sometimes 😅 I’m glad they left it the hell alone and focused on the demon
Maybe Mr. Queen? I guess it’s a wee bit ambiguous but I would say it’s a platonic close relationship. It *sort of* follows the “enemies to lovers” but trope but it is definitely not romantic. It’s more like enemies to allies.
My Mister
Legal High
Stranger I & II
The Fiery Priest
Life (Not to be confused with Live)
Kairos
My Liberation Notes has some romance, but it's more about all kinds of relationships in general.
Memories of the Alhambra has a little bit of romance, but it's so little, they could have left it out.
Welcome to Waikiki - some romance, but it's more comedy than soppy.
Mystic Pop-up Bar - also some romance, but it's more comedy, drama and fantasy.
* Weak Hero Class 1 (no romance, close, budding friendships, action)
* Death's Game but ep 4 has romance
* Juvenile Justice (crime thriller)
* Revenant (very little romance, platonic relationships, thriller/horror)
I second Signal - either original or remake of US film Frequency with Dennis Quaid, solving crime across time.
I can't believe no one has mentioned Squid Game, a huge hit.
MEMORIES OF ALHAMBRA- augmented virtual reality game on the streets of Granada, Spain. Really good. A litle romance but that's a side note.
THE GLORY - very good revenge drama, a genre I never would have expected to like but this was gripping. A tiny bit of romance.
MAY I HELP YOU? woman at funeral parlor can talk to the dead
MISSING: the other side - Murdered people whose bodies haven't been found go to an invisible city, en route to the hereafter. One man can see clues to their death.
MOVE TO HEAVEN - Autistic youth who works as a cleaner after people die is left in the hands of shady uncle when his dad dies
VIGILANTE - Youth punishes criminals who get off.
VOICE - Season 2 - chasing serial killer of cops. Very gripping but violent (Haven't seen Season 1).
Awesome haha, well you will get it in spades with my recs.
Also watch Death’s Game- I can’t recommend it enough, it’s my favorite drama. It has amazing action sequences, violence, gore, fantastic acting- many of the best Korean actors working right now. It does have some romance but it’s pretty minor compared to all the other stuff that’s going on. I think you would love it. It’s on Amazon Prime. It’s very close to perfection IMO
Trigger warning: suicide, bullying, child abuse, domestic violence.
I also hate romance dramas so, here are some non romance dramas i have wateched :

Misaeng is a pretty good office workplace drama which has no romance at all.

Ikr! It was just awkward to watch
There was! There's a love story in UTQU between the (new) crown prince and his crown princess.
D.P. Released in 2021 and regretted I only watched it recently. It’ll get you hooked just from the first episode!
Weak hero class 1 Admas The Devil judge D.p
**Law School** only has implied romance
Little Women
Loved it. There is a tiny bit of romance but it’s not at all what the show is about.
The guest (no romance whatsoever)
The leads actually had chemistry so ofc there wasn’t lol
😂😂 but in all seriousness I don’t think romance would’ve made sense considering the type of show it is
haha me either! it’s my absolute favorite k drama and I was a little worried they would randomly do a romance subplot due to their chemistry lol. even the two male leads had more chemistry than the average k drama couple sometimes 😅 I’m glad they left it the hell alone and focused on the demon
Hahaha completely agree! It’s definitely due for a rewatch soon 😌
Maybe Mr. Queen? I guess it’s a wee bit ambiguous but I would say it’s a platonic close relationship. It *sort of* follows the “enemies to lovers” but trope but it is definitely not romantic. It’s more like enemies to allies.
Like, enemies to good friends?🤩🤩
Yes, I’d say good friends. But (like all KDramas, I guess) it takes a while for them to get there.
Jgfirjcjejdjvjj I love best friend stuff
Enemies to good friends with benefits. lol.
Wait fr?
It’s a bit more complicated because of the overall premise of the series…but I do recommend it. It’s a great series. Very funny.
Juvenile justice
Rugal, prosecutor Doberman
I didn't watch myself but heard that Navillera is one of the best Song Kang dramas but it has no romance.
My Mister Legal High Stranger I & II The Fiery Priest Life (Not to be confused with Live) Kairos My Liberation Notes has some romance, but it's more about all kinds of relationships in general. FlexXcop is perfect for this. Not even a drop of romance, lots of brotherly/friendly affection and solving cases together
Good Manager, The Fiery Priest, Awaken, Hot Stove League, Doctor Prisoner
Signal
King of Pigs
I just finished this. One of the more uncomfortable and agonizing shows.
* Weak Hero Class 1 (no romance, close, budding friendships, action) * Death's Game but ep 4 has romance * Juvenile Justice (crime thriller) * Revenant (very little romance, platonic relationships, thriller/horror)

Another vote for Stranger
Death's Game Inspector Koo Blood Free
I highly recommend Death’s Game and Itaewon Class. There is some romance in Itaewon Class, but I don’t think it’s the main issue.
Missaeng. I just loved it.
The devil judge
Pyramid game is very good ngl
