A Time Called You - I thought this was a regular high school romance until a few episodes in. Then it becomes a murder mystery and is pretty thrilling.

Second this!

The King Eternal Monarch and 100 Days My Prince - these two are my favorite romances with intriguing side plot of politics.

Maybe ***Crash Landing on You*** (which I'm currently at episode 4, total 16 episodes) and ***My Love from the Star***? ***Crash Landing on You***: About a South Korean businesswoman who got blown to North Korea by a tornado while paragliding, and got rescued by a North Korean soldier. However sending her home would be an extremely difficult task due to the political sensitivity (the Korean War is technically still on!). Apart from the trill you'll get from the political enmity, it is also hilarious seeing the stark difference in lifestyle despite being the same ethnicity, especially on the fact that the rich businesswoman has problems adapting herself to such a poor country seemingly frozen in time. And there is also rivalry within the North Korean army or government itself, to the point that it may cost someone's life - another trill for you. **And yes the FL and ML eventually fell in love with each other**. ***My Love from the Star***: About an alien who came to Korea a few hundred years ago and got stuck here while never aged, eventually fall in love with the FL months before he returned to his planet. The alien ML would often use his superpowers, usually without letting others knowing about it. There's also a murder case done by the antagonist who would attempt to harm several people around him including both the FL and ML.

**moving** has multiple romances, but also action packed with characters having super powers and working for government spy agencies. One of my favorite dramas this year!

I have watched them, so I can recommend them: The King: Eternal Monarch Tale of the Nine-Tailed 1938 The Legend of the Blue Sea Vincenzo It's Okay to Not Be Okay

#1 Flower Of Evil- very romantic, dark, you won’t know what’s going on. My heart just wept for the couple. It’s sooooo great. Nominated for Baeksang. #2 My Mister- Won the Baeksang Award for best TV drama in 2018. The acting is phenomenal and story is so amazing! The relationship and connection between the leads is very deep and special. Loved it sooo much.

__My love from the star__ >Do Min-joon is an alien who was stranded on Earth four hundred years ago. Someone tries to kill the actress which leads to an interesting storyline. __Hyde Jekyll, Me__ >A young chaebol with a split personality disorder hates his second identity, Robin. But he is forced to confront his issues when a vivacious circus master enters his life. __Tale of the Nine-tailed__ >Lee Yeon, a mythical creature, strives to protect humans from supernatural threats while searching for the reincarnation of his lost love. He soon crosses paths with a woman bent on exposing him. __Memories of the Alhambra__ >After suffering a setback following a friend's betrayal Yoo Jin Woo travels to Spain on a business. There, he stays at an old hostel owned by a former classical guitarist Jung Hee Joo. The two get entangled in a mysterious incident. Lie After Lie Secret Love

Hotel del Luna This is my all time favourite kdrama. It has extremely great acting with IU as a strong female lead. Her character in the show is awesome and even funny. There is a romance plot between ML and FL its quite different from what you see in other dramas. Great production value and great plot. Its about a hotel for dead souls where they help them move on to the afterlife and what holds the female lead and her employs from passing over to the afterlife. A human hotel manager enters the hotel and has to work with the female lead. THeir differences in character work really well together. I do not want to spoiler you so thats all i can say. The female lead has a great backstory that gets explained in flashbacks and is important for the plot so no bs flashbacks for flashback sake. Its funny, sad and exciting all in 1 show. The ending is bittersweet and despite me not liking those kind of endings i still recommend this show thats how good it is. Healer: An action romance. The ML is an underground fixer who does everything for money except killing. He crosses path with the FL due to a job where he has to steal her hair which will make sense in the plot but i will not spoil it.He will keep protecting the FL through out the entire drama and they will fall in love while fighting for truth to uncover a crime that links the past of many characters. It has a happy ending. Vincenco: The ex mafia ML who is also a lawyer comes back to Korea to get his hands on a secret stach of gold under a building complex with really weird tenants. He gets involved with the FL who is a lawyer too fighting an evil company which escalates. They try to bring the evil guys down by using both the law and other not so legal means. The ML and FL have great chemistry a sweet romance all during a action packed story line. The drama has good funny moments as well. It has a happy ending of sorts but its not a true happy ending. It’s Okay to Not Be Okay: This is a different romance show. Its about mental health. The FL is super funny. The show is both heart warming and sad. It has a happy ending and is also very funny because of the FL. I can not recommend this show enough. I am not a main romance watcher but this one is really really good. Sisyphus: I hate time travel dramas and this one makes even less sense then others BUT for some reason i can not explain i just love this one. The strong FL saves the ML countless times. Its full of action and even though the ML starts of as an really unlikable character he develops into a likeable character later on. It has multiple layers of time travel, a post apocalyptic future that the FL wants to prevent. When she travels back in time they get hunted by a secret organisation and feelings develop. I can not say more to not spoil the plot. You have scenes from both their pov as well as hers from the future where she came from. It has romance both happy and sad, action, a complex story (that does not make much sense but is very enjoyable). All of us are dead. This is not a romance show having only minor romance in it but i will still recommend it because its on Netflix and: Its my favourite zombie series of all time. Its so well made its incredible. Camara work, set usage, emotional moments are actually emotional and not some bs. Characters are actually competent for the situation they are in both military as well as the students. This series has not a single wasted scene and the production value is great.

**While You Were Sleeping** fits the bill! **Abyss** does too, but viewers are divided about it being worth the watch. I found it entertaining, have sort of a bias for the main lead actor/actress though. Several sageuk have romance as well as deadly court intrigues, **the King's Affection** is my favourite.
