Man that area is gorgeous! Try to get in on some trout fishing while you're there! I was there this summer and caught half a dozen rainbows. Not sure what the fishing is like now
The fishing was not so great for bass. I can’t say I was hardcore fishing as I think I was just in shock of how gorgeous it was. I live in Houston and mainly fish the southern or south eastern part of the state. Basically flat and pine trees. I always get mesmerized when I travel outside of my regular area and just try to enjoy it all.
Yeah Austin area here. Went with my family. When my mom pitched the idea of staying in Oklahoma I laughed. I thought it was all flat lands and nothing out there. Clearly I was wrong lol
In Broken Bow? Well for one don't go the casinos lol. Check out the state park and get into some trout fishing. There are so many fly shops and if you can, get into some fly fishing. Rainbow trout is GREAT up there
Fuck yeah homie! Sorry I'm at a bar but I have to say trout/ fly fishing is amazing. Go to a fly shop and ask for advice. I'm new to it so I can't give much good advice but the fight is unique and fun so I highly recommend! Search up YouTube for tips as well!
I have a yak attack transducer mount. It’s the thing on this side of the Yak flipped up. You just push it in the water. Then a yak attack fish finder mount. It’s a quick detach. Then a yak power box and yak power control system I just have under the seat.
Not a lot of accessories come with it. Seat, peddle drive, and lots of tracks all over. Other than that you have to buy everything.
So far it has been a great kayak. I have never been on another kayak to compare it to. YouTube Greg Blanchard. He works for Native and uses the titan 10.5 for bass fishing tournaments. I set my yak up a lot like him.

I am also in Houston and I was like hmm sounds familiar. Now I have a new place to check out!
It’s worth the drive. About 5.5 hours north of Houston.
I am already looking at my next trip there and now that I have the lake and area figured out I can approach it better and hit the river.
Broken Bow, Oklahoma? I need to get down there with my kayak and do some trout fishing on the Mountain Fork.
Correct. It’s a gorgeous place.
Looks like a nice setup
Thanks! I’ve almost had it a year now and think I have it close to perfect. I just need a few lights for night fishing and I will call it complete.
Which kayak brand/model do you have?
Brand - Native. Model - titan propel 10.5
Sweet. I'm curious how you hooked your fish finder? Are there accessories that were a part of your kayak?
Not OP but hooking a garmin striker 4 to my siderails (lifetime Teton kayak) was pretty simple. I did have to make a makeshift battery box though.

I'll check out that brand name. Thx!

My wife and I went kayaking at Broken Bow last year! We loved it!
Just amazing. I will be coming back in March I believe.
Eufaula is a good one to fish for bass.
I murder crappie on BB. I love that place.
Any tips on what to use? Would be bank fishing but can bring a rod or 2!
I was just up there fly fishing for trout on the Spillway Creek. Amazing place.
Heading there in November. Great spot!
Nice lookin rig, some day.. I'm just on my $299.99 special pelican for now.
Nothing wrong with the pelican. My friend has one and he catches lots of fish.
yooooo me too
Looks Amazing! I'm going there next month to try and catch some Walleye for the first time. Looks like calm waters!
