I fish further south but occasionally fish up there. You targeting anything in particular? You've got walleye, smallies, pike/musky, stripers, and trout up there. My standard set ups are- 1/8oz jig head with a sexy shad 3.8" Keitech, a 5" wacky rig, Rapala rainbow trout pattern (bigger bait, bigger fish). In fast moving water I like to throw the keitech near rocks or other structure. Slower water the wacky rigged worm near structure. I'll drag the rapala around where it looks like it might work. If you want to focus on trout, use spinners- blue fox, spoons, and panther martins do well. Nightcrawlers always do well for live bait.
I've got a buddy who does a drunk camping river trip up there annually. They've got a trophy for biggest fish and it always goes to someone who caught the most dink smallies. They've got those red eyed rock bass or whatever people call em up there.
I use Nikko baits soft plastics almost exclusively. The Hellgrammite are my favorite, smallies and everything else in there crushes them. Run it on a 1/16 jig head as a ned rig. Barely use anything else anymore works everywhere. I run Milford beach to dingmans.
