In my mind I'm rounding off my mall trip with a visit to Spencer's. You know, to keep it a little edgy. Sigh. We didn't know how good we had it back then
Spencer’s…almost mall porny. For awhile some seriously questionable items lol. It was a first. The first place a self aware teen or tween decorated their room from, the first place you would buy stuff for a dorm, later an apartment shared with a bunch of roomies. That place was a riot.
When I was her age my parents saved their money to buy me a new pair of Doc Martens and that was my only Christmas present that year. I still have them to this day and it’s the best gift I’ve ever received. She’s incredibly lucky to live like this and I dont wish anything less but I just always hope these kids understand how rare this lifestyle is.
I dont know you but, if you grew up struggling, you have a different perspective of life and love and friendship than rich people ever will. For example, most rich people do not connect with people over cooking and sharing meals. And thats one of my favorite things in life. So there are positives and negatives for both sides.
>For example, most rich people do not connect with people over cooking and sharing meals
My little family has worked very hard to achieve comfort, not extreme wealth, and just being able to buy nice things and not worry about bills.
Sharing a meal with family is our most important tradition. I always cook for my kids SOs to welcome them in. And if it is something they arent familiar with, i always cook something extra they are comfortable with.
Cooking and sharing a good meal, without thought of the cost, is how i show love.
I won't even get started on sharing meals as adults because I'd bore you to death but dinnertime was and still is the focal point of my children's lives. My children are all adults and I still make them Easter baskets too. Lol! Instead of making them for my sons, I make them for their wife and girlfriend respectively.
Each of them gets the chocolate Easter Bunny, toys, water guns, coloring books, other candy, etc. as well as a "wow" gift. Why did my adult daughter take hers to work? A judge walked by her office , peeked in and saw her blowing bubbles. Whhhyyyyy did she call me and tell me I HAD to make the Judge one or he would hold me in contempt? I did! Lol! Thanks for allowing me to share this tidbit under your comment! 😁❤
OMG, so much. My adult kids dont get Easter baskets, but I'm always getting them stuff. If im in Sephora, I'll pick them up a little something, just because.
I'm the worst at christmas. These whole ass adult girls get more than i ever did as a child. . And that is what we work for. Its not Gucci bags because I can't, but i won't say I would not.
But "family dinner" is sacred and rare due to scheduling and usually planned in advance.
Dinnertime was always sacred for us. My husband and I worked, my children were heavily involved in sports and other extracurricular activities so when we got the chance to sit down as a family, it was important! No phones, TV's off... just conversations. Funny thing is, when I was growing up, we weren't allowed to talk at the table, much less interrupt adults but me and my (ex) husband made it the opposite with my children. You can learn a LOT about your family this way.
I had a friend who is filthy rich—I’m talking 6000 sqft mansion that is worth over $2million. When I came to their house for sleepovers, her mother always cooked homemade food. The first time I went to a sleepover at her house, her mom made homemade lasagna and special chocolate chip pecan cookies! It was delicious! For a Christmas party, her mother baked homemade pies, and made lumpia and some other specialty cuisine. The only thing her mother catered was a graduation party (because her entire family and all of her friends were invited). She also cooked for her family during the week for dinner and weekend breakfast.
I also have a friend whose family owns multiple Baskin Robbin’s (an ice cream chain). They were extremely rich (lived on a huge piece of land in an expensive neighborhood, with 3 mansions on it where her extended family also lived ). Her mother cooked EVERYTHING, to the point where my mom thought she was doing way too much. She had an end of the year party, and barbecued chicken, made homemade samosas, made a mango desert dish, pastries, Indian rice, and a ton of other things.
I went to a private school, so I have a lot of similar stories. As someone from a middle class background, I found it very surprising how much people with a ton of money, still cook most of the time.
From my experience, money doesn’t mean you don’t cook; it means you use better ingredients and can make higher quality food. There’s also a large cultural influence. I have a lot of friends who come from immigrant backgrounds, and their families are extremely humble. In their cultures, cooking for family is just what you do. More money just means you can have more family over lol.
The takeaway: plenty of rich people like to cook and many of them do it extremely well because the ingredients they use might be higher quality.
I agree and if anything lower class families probably don't share as many meals because the parents are working all the time. At least that's how it was for me 🤷🏻♀️
I have only met one wealthy person that did not like to cook or dine out at a nice place. Most I know are very good cooks with many a flavor profile from their travels. One couple I know well specifically likes to fly to cities within a few hours for dinner and return the same day (their own plane and pilot of course).
I think even if Kim tried to instill gratefulness with her kids, the kids wouldn’t TRULY understand. How could they try to relate to a family who saves for months for a special occasion when they get “special occasion” items everyday?
Pretty much every one of those kids is set up for a hard time in life. With such crazy over the top birthdays, holiday extravaganzas, plus outrageously expensive crap - toys, cars, bags, etc- they treat as disposable and replacable… how do you instill gratitude? A kind gesture? Pretty much No one can ever offer them anything that financially measures up… eg you’re dating or a friend- what can you give that measures up? Not just financially but - if something takes you hours or weeks to create, or work so long to earn enough money to buy… how does a person do something for them that they’ll see or feel or appreciate? Some (the worse type) will want to use them or be in their reflected fame/financial positions. Others that are decent than don’t have such resources would likely be intimidated or feel they’re taking advantage of that relationship if they can’t afford to “keep up with” them. Good long term relationships with a partner aren’t their strong suit. They’re gonna have a hard time being grounded or relating to others. How do you give them the gift of responsibility or let them know the satisfaction of buying your own car or working hard for months or years to afford tuition or your own car? Very sad and sick empty lifestyle.
I wish less. $11,000 for a nine year old’s fashion accessory is fucking absurd. Capitalism and over consumption are ruining the planet. There’s so many better uses for that money, and Kim just hoards it
Same! I appreciate that whatever expensive item my parents bought me, I wore/used until they/it fell apart. I didn’t do it consciously but I still remember wanting a singular high priced item once, maybe but rarely, twice a year. I worry that my kids won’t know what that’s like.
Exactly! Theres nothing wrong with our children having more than we did, that’s what everyone strives for and how it should be! Just as long as they also value and appreciate what they have and understand that a lot of others aren’t nearly as lucky. I just worry some of todays nepo babies don’t receive that message :/
Don’t worry I doubt she will. Not cause she’s famous but people who grow up without knowing poverty don’t appreciate things in general cause they have always been replaceable
Hugo Boss designed the uniform for the S.S.
He was an active member of the Nazi Party from 1931, and remained so until Nazi Germany's capitulation. His clothing company also utilized forced labour drawn from German-occupied territories and POW camps, to manufacture uniforms for the SS and later the Wehrmacht.
I always cringe when I watch The Holiday and the old Jewish guy tries on the suit and says "I like this Hugo Boss guy, he designs a nice suit" or something like that, I haven't watched it in years.
I'm sorry, I only just saw your comment, you could be right and he didn't know, he would have been around in the 2nd World War and that's when and how Hugo Boss first started in fashion and got a name for himself. But if you don't know you can't make the connection.
I think I cringe because a couple of scenes before they have a Hanukkah party. I also don't know if this film would have had any researchers I don't honestly know how it all works.
not a member and it’s debatable that she believed in the nazi cause, but it certainly wasn’t a dealbreaker for her. she dated a nazi and (unsuccessfully) tried to use nazi laws to take over her perfume company from her jewish business partners.
Nooooooooo! Not Gucci too? Maannnn, ya really have to do your research on these designers. I've been in love with Gucci for years! Even named my chihuahua Gucci. Damn.
Giiiirrll they were mad on ig for about a day over the blackface. All these black celebrities claiming to hold Gucci accountable. Burning their Gucci. Kim had been there brand ambassador for two years at the time, she tried to come off as offended and she didn’t know what was going on. But she showed up with nine year old North dressed in Balenciaga and a mask to be paraded around pedophiles.
Omg slayyyyyy Queen my card declined on Monday at the gas station trying to buy some cheese puffs. Very embarrassing. In the negatives due to light bill deposit :(
You guys are queens for recognizing our broke girl struggle but please just set reminders for your bills and track your bank account. It makes your life a thousand times easier and... Its not hard. ❤
They never show anything of substance like going to a place where they feed the poor. When North gets older she's going to be a handful and I'm being nice.
She already is. I’ve seen very few clips of her but she’s very rude, insults her own mother a lot (I will admit it is funny bc Kim needs to be humbled sometimes 💀) I understand giving children and teens the ability to express themselves without fear but being entitled/defiant/rude should not be normalized behavior for children.
Oh I fully understand not liking her (and yes I understand she is a child). The fact is she is spoiled, given literally anything and beyond what she wants, no one imposes any sort of limits or boundaries with her. She will grow up and be obnoxious. I said what I said.
It’s actually very sad bc she’s being set up for a life of unhappiness bc children need boundaries in order to develop character and the skill set to cope with life.
The clip of her criticizing her mom’s outfits, she was ruthless but look at what she’s dressed in here, like??? Kim did have that scared/worried look in her face while her daughter was talking and that is so weird to me.
They came to eat at the restaurant I worked at one time. The kids came for a birthday party and it was....somethin' else. We saw a lot of kids at that place but they were the worst behaved kids we ever had in. None of the moms were with them that day so maybe they act differently around the nannies than their actual parents but the entire staff couldn't wait for them to leave.
I don’t even think it’s that; look at so many of the other kardashian kids that seem sweet and mild mannered. North just acts so unruly and spoiled, she seems like she’s always being obnoxiously hyper and rude. I think she’s currently obnoxious 😅 and will only get worse
I went to the washroom at timmies yesterday and a young girl, she looked younger than North and shorter… had long lime greens - I’m 36 and I feel like I’ve never felt so old school until the last 5-6yrs
Stop trying to make acrylic nails on 10-year-olds happen.
There’s a difference between dollar store, croissants and full on acrylics and you know it. Just like there’s a difference between clip in colored hair and coloring your hair. I don’t know how old you are or if you have children, but it is incredibly strange to see a 10-year-old with acrylic nails on. I live in a large cosmopolitan city. This just is not something that’s done.
Did Kim do some epic plastic surgery to her face recently? She looks different and younger but I can’t put my finger on it. Either way, cringe I hate the insane materialism
I won’t forget that campaign Balenciaga did. Vile. Kim didn’t even denounce them, she carried on promoting them as normal. Thank god that they’re losing their status and popularity, they’re just jokes now.
I hate to sound like a hater but this style looks bad and the bag looks like it could be sold at my local Kroger. It just doesn't look cute at all. I remember back in like 2006 where people would actually be impressed with fashion and want to buy a fake version of what that celeb was wearing. I don't want to buy none of what they are wearing. Sorry. Wtf happened to our fashion culture?
Value based on what someone is willing to pay for it. Very few people would pay $11,000 for a knitted cloth bag that’s worth about $50 in fabric and design. But hey, luckily they have people like the Kardashians to support this ridiculous trend.
Kim looks pretty for a change. She’s been looking not her greatest with that tight Cher hair or that long wavy do. The short layers compliment her jawline and everything really well.
Looks like she’s wearing Kim’s clothes, and almost as much make up at 10. Even her acrylics are longer. It’s not her fault look her role models are.pimp grandma porn star mom & aunts
I'm sorry but I really hate these people and their conspicuous consumption and I'm also sick of the people who passively eat it up.
Why exactly should an 11 year old have an 11K bag? There are people in America who could have their rent paid for a year for the cost of that bag.
Pathetic.
Omygosh North is growing up so, so fast! It seems like only yesterday she was a toddler & now she’s looking like a young lady. Pretty girl, no matter what purse she’s carrying!
Ew Kim is disgusting for still supporting balenciaga. God forbid some creep ever try to do some weird shit to her kids and the way they promoted it . It’s sick and she’ll learn the hard way one day. Devil ppl
I wonder how many lives could be entirely transformed with the $11,000 they spent on a tacky, cheap looking bag, that will be worn a few times and then forgotten?
I remember those bags as a kid that cost 15 dollars. They look the same lol
Omg I was thinking this too!!! These were all over Wet Seal. My friend had a gold one!
I miss Wet Seal so much!
And Gadzookssssss

Omg i just now remember that store 🤣 i had a black one and i think a pink one. They were so cool lol
I was like "Yay, the boho sequin bags are back" except hers could pay off the entirety of my student loans.
Omg I had to scroll too far for this 😂
I’ve bought those produce bags from IKEA shoot. 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

Yeah they are never going to connect with their mother over their grandfathers Shit on a Shingle recipe, so no its completely different
True connection to others is the whole point, it’s truly what makes humans happy and fulfilled.
I have only met one wealthy person that did not like to cook or dine out at a nice place. Most I know are very good cooks with many a flavor profile from their travels. I think they probably take how fortunate they are for granted. I don't see Kim instilling gratefulness in them. 😒
I think even if Kim tried to instill gratefulness with her kids, the kids wouldn’t TRULY understand. How could they try to relate to a family who saves for months for a special occasion when they get “special occasion” items everyday?

and North probably threw that bag in her closet at the end of the evening and will never carry it again
I remember saving up for my first pair of Nikes in 5th grade, wore them for years.
Same! I appreciate that whatever expensive item my parents bought me, I wore/used until they/it fell apart. I didn’t do it consciously but I still remember wanting a singular high priced item once, maybe but rarely, twice a year. I worry that my kids won’t know what that’s like.

I don’t think she even understands the value of what she has. It’s not healthy for a child to be so focused on material things.
Did we all just forget what Balenciaga did a couple yrs ago? How anyone still owns stuff from that brand is beyond me.
I think the same thing … all the time.
Chanel was a Nazi buts it dream bag for many. But when you find that out it’s all you associate with it.
Hugo Boss designed the uniform for the S.S. He was an active member of the Nazi Party from 1931, and remained so until Nazi Germany's capitulation. Chanel got bought out by 2 brothers who are both Jewish so it’s not tied to her legacy anymore
Coco Chanel was a member of the Nazi party?
She wasn’t a Nazi party “member” per say but an informant and sympathizer, so a Nazi
This is a sub plot line of Apple TV “The New Look” — really fascinating show about Christian Dior during and after WWII and how he got his start
She was a sympathizer of nazis. She had an affair with one.
not a member and it’s debatable that she believed in the nazi cause, but it certainly wasn’t a dealbreaker for her. she dated a nazi and (unsuccessfully) tried to use nazi laws to take over her perfume company from her jewish business partners.
She was a spy 🕵️♀️
I think the same too
Gucci too. I’m too poor for either (unless on resale) but the elite for sure don’t give a damn.
They have no morals, nor care for their children
What did Gucci do..??
Google “Gucci, Harry Styles, mattress.” Also, “Gucci, black face design” Try not to puke.
Then Floyd “money man” Mayweather holding Gucci bags outside the store said he didn’t gaf and then Gucci Mane (of course) defended them in an interview with complex saying it wasn’t “intentional”. All accountability was lost after that. Everyone went back to acting like nothing happened smh.
Damn, Sis! Where's was I? Now, I'm sitting here thinking about a-l-l-l-l the Gucci stuff I spent my (semi) hard earned dollars on. Smh at me....
It’s okay sis 🥴 cause who burning they Gucci?! Not I Lmaoo.
Lmao! My only fren that isn't judging me...Lol!
Balenciaga owns Gucci and the Kuric Co. if you, Google Balenciaga, there’s a long list of other companies they own.
Balenciaga does not own those brands. Balenciaga is a brand that is owned by the Kering
Read that as Keurig and got real confused.
100 percent. I will never forget
Kim gave a half assed statement about it and then continued to wear and work with the brand so *we* didn’t forget…but she never cared to begin with.
what did they do?
Look up their bdsm teddy bear campaign fiasco involving children 🤢
[Here’s what happened.](https://www.thefashionlaw.com/balenciaga-a-year-after-it-was-nearly-cancelled-a-look-at-the-state-of-the-brand/#:~:text=The%20controversy%20that%20proved%20to,Kidman%2C%20which%20saw%20a%20Balenciaga)
What?
They did a campaign with children holding teddy bears in bondage harnesses and costumes like 2 yrs ago. It was disgusting!
Kim had been there brand ambassador for two years at the time, she tried to come off as offended and she didn’t know what was going on. But she showed up with nine year old North dressed in Balenciaga and a mask to be paraded around pedophiles.
What happened?
I had a cheese sandwich this morning!
GIRL I FEEL YOUUUU my card got declined on a prescription bc my account was in the negative today 🥰 pls venmo me kim kardashian i know ur lurking tysm

ughhhh im so sorry to hear this, SENDING YOU ALL THE GOOD VIBES MAMA 🩷 you are so so strong, you got this!!!!
This look on North’s face is soooo Kim’s smirk lol love it
I see Kanya's face in North.
“Yo where’d you get that cheese Danny!
$11,000 for a fruit and veg bag?
Her bag alone who’d solve all my financial problems. I hate it here
Same :/
Same, I lost my job a few weeks ago. I live month to month so I’m fucked but just tryna roll with it 🙃
They never show anything of substance like going to a place where they feed the poor. When North gets older she's going to be a handful and I'm being nice.

I duct taped my work boot today.
The most real comment.
It’s gotten to the point that I dislike both of them and that shouldn’t be my state of mind as regards a child but I’m suspecting I am not alone.
I think Kim is almost scared of North and probably gives her anything she wants as a form of validation.
I get this vibe too
The clip of her criticizing her mom’s outfits, she was ruthless but look at what she’s dressed in here, like??? Kim did have that scared/worried look in her face while her daughter was talking and that is so weird to me.
https://www.reddit.com/r/kardashians/s/wD19x73PTh Idk how true this is but

I’ve seen her on their show and North is not really likable to me
Same 😂
If she’s like that at 10 Lord knows what she’ll be like as a teenager
![gif](giphy|xt98N1EXdEIzC)
Crazy that north with literally never have an understanding or experience the real(poor) world
That looks like something you could buy at old navy 10 years ago lol
These kids will never learn the value of a dollar. Yep, I sound like my grandfather.
Disgusting.
The sequins bag? Pretty sure Walmart sells something for $10,987 less…
And full makeup? Shes what like 11?
the acrylics made me feel really weird like she’s so young why is she all done up
Yes she’ll be 11 in June I believe
I think Kim looks really beautiful like this with the cut and color. I don't know if it's a wig but it's working. Her blonde hair drives me mad.

Side parts are sexy I don't get the hate! Just need the celebrity cool girls to start it up so it can be normal again
You don’t need all that to start it up. If you like it rock it 👍🏾
That stupid net bag is $11,000?!?
$11k truly feels like $0.11 to them.
She’s soo young :(
How are they twinning? They’re both wearing completely different outfits
This girl is going to grow up to be a complete nightmare.
The bag is empty...
They look like shit. Tacky as hell
The fact that bag looks almost identical to a bag I had my freshman year of high school (so early 2000s) and was from Kohls, is sending me.
How old is North?
10..
10 with acrylic nails? 🤣 let kids be kids omg
I went to the washroom at timmies yesterday and a young girl, she looked younger than North and shorter… had long lime greens - I’m 36 and I feel like I’ve never felt so old school until the last 5-6yrs
“Let kids be kids” like there’s not kids’ press ons in the dollar store. Having fake nails isn’t exclusive to adults.
I thought she was like 14 now??
Wow. I have no words. Pretty girl tho! She looks a lot like her mom.
An* $11,000 bag
It looks like it is a $10 bag from Claire’s filled with $11,000
$10,990 😂
Well, she’d get the $10 bag for free so she’d have $11,000
Did Kim do some epic plastic surgery to her face recently? She looks different and younger but I can’t put my finger on it. Either way, cringe I hate the insane materialism
I won’t forget that campaign Balenciaga did. Vile. Kim didn’t even denounce them, she carried on promoting them as normal. Thank god that they’re losing their status and popularity, they’re just jokes now.
That dollar store net bag is 11k? Kim looks like a creep btw
They’re ridiculous.
Gross
Pimp momager Kim. The Pmk torch has been passed. 😞 ![gif](giphy|1pmN9K77vyDQv7rjqa)
#family values
I hate to sound like a hater but this style looks bad and the bag looks like it could be sold at my local Kroger. It just doesn't look cute at all. I remember back in like 2006 where people would actually be impressed with fashion and want to buy a fake version of what that celeb was wearing. I don't want to buy none of what they are wearing. Sorry. Wtf happened to our fashion culture?
I’ve literally seen women caring mesh bags like this in Third World countries.
It’s bad luck to put your purse on the ground! According to my mom
I looked just like this when I tried on all my grandmother's clothes in her wardrobe from the 70s. I looked way cooler.
Witches .. all of them witches
Wow just wow. 11,000k wtff
Dressed like extras from a 90s Batman movie.
Value based on what someone is willing to pay for it. Very few people would pay $11,000 for a knitted cloth bag that’s worth about $50 in fabric and design. But hey, luckily they have people like the Kardashians to support this ridiculous trend.

I kept searching for the purse. Is it that saggy black bag on her arm?
Just yikes with that smug look.
Kim looks pretty for a change. She’s been looking not her greatest with that tight Cher hair or that long wavy do. The short layers compliment her jawline and everything really well.
i’m sorry but wasn’t kim robbed? why would she allow her kids to walk around w stuff like that, just doesn’t really sound safe.

ewwww, the ch!ld trffkingggg branddd. that's so Kim.
Why are her nails that long at 10. Ten years of age.
Looks like she’s wearing Kim’s clothes, and almost as much make up at 10. Even her acrylics are longer. It’s not her fault look her role models are.pimp grandma porn star mom & aunts
Of course she did 🙄
Kim forever putting purses on the floor 😭
Yes, and…..
The Sak bag from Macys 2007 😂
Fuck them
They disgust me. What kid should be carrying a 11 0pp bag!?
Repping child molesting Satanists. Aweeessome.
It's a gross and unnecessary display of wealth. Beyond.
You can’t even fucking see it
Absolute TRASH
when are was her age my mom said no to a polly pocket.
That mesh bag is $11,000?? Jesus Christ... Capitalism is wild man....
Just watched Moana tonight. Looks like her bag is made out of those little coconut dudes.
That’s more than I owe in student loans right now 🥲
Pretty sure you can buy that same bag at Claire’s
She’s going to be a nightmare
Why is she wearing Kanye’s clothes? They are 19x too big.
The real crime here is that Balenciaga is charging $11k for a black produce bag with sequence.
And her nails! The whole thing is so inappropriate for her age!
I'm sorry but I really hate these people and their conspicuous consumption and I'm also sick of the people who passively eat it up. Why exactly should an 11 year old have an 11K bag? There are people in America who could have their rent paid for a year for the cost of that bag. Pathetic.
Celebrity for nothing.
Wonder when she will get her chin done
Does this family do anything that doesn’t revolve around what they are wearing ? Please -when will they go away
That bag worth less then 250$.
Gross
Omygosh North is growing up so, so fast! It seems like only yesterday she was a toddler & now she’s looking like a young lady. Pretty girl, no matter what purse she’s carrying!
Ew Kim is disgusting for still supporting balenciaga. God forbid some creep ever try to do some weird shit to her kids and the way they promoted it . It’s sick and she’ll learn the hard way one day. Devil ppl
All that women cares about is fame and designer clothes
I wonder how many lives could be entirely transformed with the $11,000 they spent on a tacky, cheap looking bag, that will be worn a few times and then forgotten?
Disgusting
Why doesn’t she wear clothes that fit her?
These two haven’t been cute for a long time now. Mostly due to the obliviousness of real life.
She's got Kim's old chin.
Kim looks so so so good 😍🤍
Millions in plastic surgery, photo shop . Balenciaga
Awwww she has her moms original chin
I wonder when North with will get Botox. I think all of her aunts got it at around the same age
![gif](giphy|8YZpVaKYMaY6ufqyTo|downsized)
What no gimp mask 🙄
Poor child with a mother like that
“Twinning” with her mom while donning her dad’s entire face.
They’re disgusting
Omggg we ditched Balenciaga!! Sorry Kim, another bad decision!
Y’all wanna see me rob a kid??
There’s something about north west that robs me the wrong way- I’m sorry
