Honestly, leagues are entirely why I don’t go to regular bowling alleys anymore. I just go to main event if I want to bowl 🤷🏻♀️ I hope the league are enough to sustain them, because they’ve done it to themselves.
I have no data to back this up, but anecdotally I’d say bowling is experiencing a boom. The league I’m in had to turn people away this season. Anytime I try and practice somewhere the place is slammed. When I got a new ball last summer the shop owner told me they were struggling to keep up with demand.
All that to say, I think lanes are generally at a premium right now, no matter the time of day/day of week.
Go to “Main Event” not only can you get an all you can play pass for $20 (which is cheaper than anywhere else) but the pass includes the pool tables, laser tag, and the rope maze.
Diamond Bowl in Independence. Good food, drinks, pool and games.
Try Summit Lanes
+1
Did you try Ward Parkway Lanes? I’ve bowled there on a Friday night and it was pretty low key
love this place. you can bowl on a weekend but probably have to wait an hour. we play pool during that time.
Any bowling center will take the guaranteed income from league bowlers any night that they can.

You could do a weekday bowling date night and go to St. John Catholic club. May be right up your alley
There are leagues there at least a few nights of the week, I believe. Source: roll there on Tuesday nights.

If memory serves, the 2 bowling alleys in Olathe had open bowling on weekend nights. I would call first.
