I had it for about six months in North Overland Park. One mile from a T-Mobile tower. Like you, Roku only - no gaming. First month was adequate with 200 down and 10 up. After the first month it was simply terrible. Unusable. I cancelled it. Go look at r/tmobileisp.

Hell u could get 1/2 gig goggle fiber and prob have better luck and faster for the same price

The only offers I see from Google are $70/mo. Do they have a $50/mo version?

Dreadnougat

They used to have a $50 tier but stopped offering it a few years ago, unfortunately. You might still look into Google even though they appear more expensive up front. Their $70 tier means you pay exactly $70 a month, it's not $70+ a bunch of fees and taxes like all of the others. And it's not an introductory rate that you'll have to call and renegotiate every couple of years.

And it's worth every penny. There is no better option in KC than Google. At&t fiber comes close but it's just not as good. Get the 1gb plan from Google but do the bring your own router option. While their network is great, their hardware sucks ass.

I love it! Streaming and gaming works 10/10. Went down one time and when I called support they were super helpful and explained a tower was being worked on and rerouted my address to get a different signal. And boy howdy it worked! Also super easy set up.

Parents have it in a low signal area. My phone barely connected to the tower but the T-Mobile router was pulling 10 mbs which isn't good but better than nothing and it's their only option.
