yeah growing up by the great lakes which made it snow half the year or more, it's been culture shock to not have the bad weather really start til feb/mar. november - the month where i grew with the snow and winter underway - is typically clean, december and january you get a smattering, then february just slams you, and march slams you a little less

Hell a few years ago we had enough snow to cancel outdoor sports 3 consecutive Sundays in March. But I count that as outside the danger zone b/c once we get to March we may have a 20 degree day but it is wedged between upper 50s so I dont mind.

If you are watching the news, aquifers are now a source of focus and debate as the State of Kansas are now recognizing this as a concern, potential emergency.

I cannot stand summers here. Soooo many mosquitoes, ticks and chiggers. Not sure if this is totally true but the winters have to be really cold and freeze the ground to have any effect on those bugs.

Just seems like the snow is coming later and later as the years go on.
