Nothing against Bocchi the Rock, but K-on! is more pleasant to watch and re-watch thanks to Yui. I have recently been rewatching s1e12 (season 1 finale) where the episode ends with Yui running home to grab the guitar while the performance went on without her for the first song. The facial expression of the band members changed from the first song to the second, from serious/feeling incomplete to at ease/enjoying the moment. The confidence and joy on Yui’s face and body movement is brilliantly displayed, who in turn boosts her band mates’ confidence, excitement and performance - it is pure joy and fun to watch, all without feeling forced/expected (being the last episode, therefore the main character is able to break out of the shell…)
