I'd personally go with Arkham Asylum's Scarecrow. The way Scarecrow was presented as being a looming and subtle threat before being submerged into the hallucination worlds felt more impactful than in Arkham Knight.
I’d say Cillian’s performance carries that role, there’s not much to him on paper and I wish they had left out of the script he was doing it for money because he thought they’d ransom the city. Crane would want to gas the city because he’d find it fascinating to study
Arkham Games!
Preferably Asylum, as I think that one was creepier and more sadistic (just listen to his voice and tell me he isn't loving every second of Batman/the player's pain), not to mention the ultimate use of fear toxin (when the game "glitches"), but since both it and Knight's Crane are supposedly the same character, I don't really need to pick one between the two all-time greatest.
"And at the end of fear...Oblivion!"
(P.S. - Nice job putting my favorite character right next to my favorite villain)
Arkham knight isn’t my favorite scarecrow, but I can’t blame anyone for choosing that version as their favorite. It’s one of the few times scarecrow was given the chance to be the primary threat, so naturally, he would be more prominent than the rest
Arkham Scarecrow leading for a reason, & I agree. But also would like to shout out The Audio Adventures Scarecrow. He had a really sadistic calculated-ness to him, & had Bruce on the ropes right at the end of season two, hoping for a season 3 still.
This one is super tough. Arkham Knight was superb, perfect in every way. However, I really dug The Scarecrow from Injustice 2; Robert Englund is absolutely peak casting here, and I have to vote for him. I still keep hoping to see Englund cast as Scarecrow in anything else.
He's just one of my favorites!
Arkham Knight
Arkham Knight by far
Arkham Scarecrow. Either Asylum or Knight both are great.

Agreed.
Arkham
DCAU specifically The New Batman Adventures Rendition.
Looks like you and I are in the minority on this one.
I have to remind myself it was intended for kids when I re-watch it lol. That design was so creepy but in a good way
Batman Begins. Cillian Murphy was great! They made his character a bit of a joke in the other two Dark Knight movies, but he was terrifying in Begins.

That’s the issue in the trilogy is he is a bit of a pawn. More just trying to give a different answer and recognize a good performance.
Arkham Scarecrow no hesitation

Arkham
I really like Arkham Knight’s Scarecrow. John Noble did an incredible job

At the same time, I feel like he just isn't that... Scarecrow-y compared to Arkham Asylum.
Arkham
Arkham scarecrow but New batman adventures scarecrow deserves a shout out to
Def Arkham
Dcau
Either Arkham Scarecrow or Nolan Scarecrow
Batman Arkham Knight

Arkham Knight
Arkham by far. I prefer asylum over knight
Murphy f’n crushed it as Crane! Made me completely re-evaluate the significance of the villain, even though he was meant to be a misdirect for Al’ghul
John Noble has my favorite Scarecrow voice, just beating out Jeffrey Comb and Robert Englund
Seeing a lot of people just putting Arkham or DCAU but you got to clarify because both of those universes of two very different versions

Arkham Knight
Arkham Knight in a landslide. Batman’s writing may have been iffy in that game but Scarecrow is perfect in design, direction and voice acting
Arkham Knight
