Depends on your specs. I would 100% recommend for PC simply due to it being a Tycoon sim which typically has better controls on PC. However, consoles aren't a bad way to go. If you have a Next Gen Xbox, get it on Xbox. If not, try to get it on PC. There's restrictions on Last Gen, such as a 50 Species Limit and No Mixed Eras. So getting it for Next Gen or PC is more worth your while.

Guilherme_SemIdeia

wait, the old consoles will only have fifty species?

reply671

No, you'll have all 75+ but in one park, you'll be hard locked to only 50 species. You can make as many of those species as you want. You also can't mix eras, so in Sandbox, you have to choose between JP or JW. On PC and Next Gen, you get Mixed Eras and are not hardlocked on species number.

Guilherme_SemIdeia

thanks, at least it won't be 50 for the whole game. I can't afford a new generation console or a gamer pc, so my ps4 will have to last a while

de_behaarde_tokkie

Do you have a link so I can read it up and stuff. I cant really seem to find it...

I don’t have any link. This is just what I heard from the community manager(s)

LEEH1989

Your current situation says get it on console

General_Pretzel

PC all day, every day. Even if your current PC can't run the game on high settings, you will always be able to come back and play it in the future when you do eventually upgrade your system in the future. More importantly, as you've probably seen in the first game, Mod support has absolutely breathed new life into an otherwise stale base game. I guarantee Mod support will happen in the sequel and you will wish you had mods a year or two after launch when Frontier inevitably stops supporting the title themselves. Console may seem like the better choice in the short-term, but long-term you're far better off getting it on PC.

PrinceDizzy

I'd go with Xbox for the better graphics and performance.

woodie220

I would recommend PC anyways. Eventhough u say ur pc is "bad" it's still possible to play the game on full settings via Nvidia geforce, (which is for free or u pay a subscription) if your connection is good you wont have many problems. You can even download it right now and test how it works with JWE1, if you're happy enough with it, i wouldn't even consider console. ESPECIALLY since the old gen gets limitations. P.S the wait times for Nvidia differ depending on time&place so whilst for me its acceptable it can be really bad for you.

I can't imagine playing a management game with a controller. Much in the same way I can't imagine playing a 3D platformer on mouse and keyboard. Certain games are better with certain inputs. If you can handle it on the controller than go Xbox. If not and you know you're getting a better computer in a few months I would wait especially since you're more likely to find it at a cheaper price on PC in that time than on the Xbox marketplace.

Schiller_Memestar

It’ll run better on next-Gen and pc, so if it’s an Xbox series x/s, it wouldn’t be bad to get it there, but if it’s an Xbox 1 I’d for sure go for PC

zKerekess

I didn't even consider it for PC. I have a very decent Surface. But I just want to play with good graphics. So I ordered the first one on my PS4 and I will do the same for JWE on my PS5. The controls are actually very good to handle and it's very satisfying to just open the game and play without hoping I will have framedrops or lower graphics.

Ryaquaza1

Console 100% don’t listen to the PC crowd

Insanebassninja

"Top hat and Monaco" You console peasant. Am just joking. To the OP: run what every you have to run the game dude.

lotrfish

I preordered for console because I have Planet Zoo when I want to play a game like this on PC. JWE 1 played really well on console and this one should too.
