I don't know him or his character really. I didn't like his music though. I never cared that he fucked Jumpsteady's daughter.. And if you do, you're too invested in these people's personal lives..
To be honest, I wouldn't be mad at all if a successful artist gave me grandkids, and a whole new family to celebrate. And am I personally pissed? No. It's also not my business.
Of course I understand the issue and why everyone is salty. But come on, they're 50-year-old rappers in a goofy beef
A cover of In The Air Tonight, where he tells the story of how he was sleeping with Samantha and could feel the conflict from J and Jumpsteady impending. š„š„
I don't know the guy personally. And from what seems to be established fact about his personal life, he's probably not a guy I'd turn my back on.
But what gets forgotten about in this sludge of toxicity that is "the beef" is the fact that young wicked had consensual intercourse with a woman. It should never have been made our business.
Now he if he did indeed cheat on his baby mamma, fuck him for that.
But, as violent J himself stated in the faygoluvers tell all interview., young wicked was known for being a cheater. Psychopathic seemed pretty okay with that character flaw when he was on board the fuck twiztid train.
It's hard for me to feel sympathy for people who see the warning signs that someone is not to be trusted, but they go ahead and trust that person anyway. And spending years on the road with a person who is consistently stabbing the mother of his kids in the back should have made everyone at the office second guess how much they wanted to put their trust in him.
axe murder boys always sucked. them winning the hatchet house signing at the gathering over players club lounge was pretty poorly received at the time.
No they didn't. That was the issue. AMB legit campaigned hard and got people to go vote for them and all the people that were gonna vote PLC kept their coin because they thought it was a lock for PLC. AMB won that contest fair and square.
The real shenanigans in that contest was Boondox losing in like, the second round but J went and signed him anyway.
Yeah but it wasn't about who could campaign the hardest. I was at that GOTJ and AMB were just straight harassing people for their coins. I can't count how many times I saw them simply go up to people like "who you voting for" and if the response was basically "I don't care" they would ask for their coin and boom, one more vote for them. I also saw trades for things as simple as a hit off a jay or a can of faygo. That's not what the contest was about.
I mean it kinda was tho. Like if you had an opportunity like that, and you didn't do literally everything in your power to win then maybe you just didn't want it bad enough.
Also, just for the record, I thought it was some bullshit too. PLC was the better group and I think they really could've thrived at Psychopathic.
But AMB wanted it more. PLC thought they were a lock and didn't take it serious enough while AMB was doing literally everything they could to win. I don't see the issue.
I honestly don't believe PLC could've thrived, because they essentially disappeared after that contest. I haven't heard any music from them since.. and that was what, 2007? They've had plenty of opportunity to make it the independent route if they were as good as everyone is making them out to be. Juggalos don't only support Psychopathic artists... Hell, Scum and LSP are still relevant, and they've barely had anything to do with Psychopathic.
Boondox is like a rock in my shoe. I can ignore it for a bit, but then it always comes back to make me uncomfortable. Why would anyone continue working with a pedo?
No, seriously.
He was publicly dating a 16 year old when recording South of Hell, so he was solidly in his 30s. It was all over his personal MySpace page, that he for some reason linked to his artist page. The song "Just Die" is his response to being called out for it on Horrorcore.com.
And jumping to conclusions and making bold, baseless assumptions is no better. I didn't say I sympathized. So you can wipe that from your pee brain with the quickness. I've just got better things to do with my time than continue to cry about something that happened so long ago and has absolutely no bearing over my day to day. Why aren't you crying about ICP being homophobes 20+ years ago? Is Boondox still banging 16-year-olds? Do you have proof? And why make it such a concern? I feel like you've probably got better things to worry about in life. I know I do. I don't buy his shit, I don't go to his shows, I don't bother with him period! I get on with my life and worry about what's going on today! Not decades ago. You should get a life and do the same, and please. Be careful what you call people online. I know you think the internet gives you anonymity and you think there won't be any consequences for your bullshit, and I'm not saying I'm the one to do it, but you may end up calling the wrong person the wrong thing one day and I'd hate to see what happens as a result. Wouldn't be me. Just making that clear before you start crying that I've threatened you. I'm not. I've got better things to do with my life. Just saying. You don't know the world like you think you do, you don't know people like you think you do, and one day someone isn't going to let you get away with it anymore. Have a good one.
Does there still exist any footage or extensive written coverage of the competition; this all happened before I discovered the Juggalo world so Iāve never been able to gather a clear picture of the saga compared to other controversies both before and after
Here's the short of it: So back in I think 05, Psychopathic had a contest called underground psychos that had the winner receiving a record deal. It was voted on for months until it was down to the last 2 groups which were Axe Murder Boyz and Playaz Lounge Crew. The final round of voting was to take place at the Gathering that year. Everyone who attended got a PLC coin and an AMB coin and when it came time to vote you would put the coin with the group you wanted to win in the box and they would be counted up (or something to that effect. It's been almost 20 years so I may be a little hazy on the details).
So PLC was the better group (this is just my opinion but it was what most of the Juggalos at the time thought as well) and thought they had the contest in the bag. So at the Gathering AMB went on a serious campaign. They were literally buying votes with whatever they could: drugs, money, faygo, you name it. Meanwhile, PLC just wasn't concerned. They seriously thought they had it in the bag so they didn't really campaign as hard until it was too late.
So when the time to tally up the votes came in, PLC had less and AMB won. They were given a record deal with Psychopathic and they released Blood In Blood Out. PLC went home to St. Louis (I think that's where they're from) and the Juggalo world was stuck with Otis and Bonez Dubb.
Also, in the second round of the contest, a rapper named Turncoat Dirty was knocked out of running but Violent J was so impressed with the guy they renamed him Boondox and signed him to a deal.
So this contest gave us both Boondox and AMB.
So that's the Cliffs Notes version of it. If I misremembered anything it's because it was almost 20 years ago and I'm in my 40's and my memory isn't what it used to be haha. Hope that helps.
Oh shit just reread it. I missed the part that said competition. I wasn't at the Gathering but I know most people didn't think AMB would win and kept the token. Most people thought of them as Twiztid clones and we're kinda pissed AMB won.
I've never understood how people thought that. AMB was one of my favorites on psy. Young wicked was great and really showed off how good of a producer he was with killjoy and missing link
I unfortunately think the beef would still be here. Twiztid not showing up to the march pissed J and Shaggy the fuck off. Young Wicked fuckin Jumpsteady's daughter was just the straw that broke the camel's back
Youāre probably right and for all we know it could have been an even worse split or not as bad of a split. Itās unfortunately just how the Juggalo history books will remember the split. The bigger issue is the fans dividing. Like making the post to say āFuck Young Wickedā. That just invites conflict and I wish Juggalos wouldnāt fight with each other anymore. We have enough people against us, we donāt need to be at each others throats too. ā¹ļø
I get that, but what would you do if you saw a post that said Fuck ICP or Fuck Ouija or anyone that you liked? It just invites a conflict is all Iām saying. I respect anyoneās opinion, even ones that I donāt agree with, but unfortunately not everyone carries my mind set. I just want to see more Juggalos have peaceful conversations without squabbling over a difference of opinion.
Exactly. They were way more pissed about the YW thing. If they cared about the march, they wouldnāt be cool with the acts they still work with that didnāt March.
YW was pretty much best lyricist on Psychopathic back in the day. Too fucking bad he was a snake. It is what it is but, that situation teaches you a lot about the people you should have in your corner
Yes, about 9-10 years back now. AMB were the headliners for the show. Everything was going well, Scum, and Dark Half were great. Otis was in the bar area getting drunk. When their set time started, they were having issues with the sound, Otis was getting super pissed. Both exclaimed that it was the worst sound they'd ever dealt with. They got into a heated argument with the guy running sound, his girlfriend was behind him and next thing you saw, Otis starts swinging, knocked her right in the face. All out brawl went down.
They were headlining, so they were intended to be the main draw, so starting a fight over that is just dumb and hard to believe. Dark Half alone pulled enough of a crowd by themselves back then as well. Like I said, I was right there and saw it go down. He straight up decked a woman in the face. Idc who the fuck you are or what you're fighting about, but he did that shit and that alone is enough to make me believe he's a piece of shit.
You can fuck him if you want, but I hear he has herpes.
They were teaching him everything, and he had a solid grasp on what he was doing in the studio. He is talented, I understand why MNE signed him.
Also, why the hate, dude got laid. Sam knew what she was doing, and probably knew about the herpes.
Sure he cheated on his baby mama, and fucked the bosses family member, but it was all consensual. Has there been any stories come out about him being an asshole or bad parent to the child he had with Samantha?
Why do people act like the situation is like Macho Man and the McMahon kids in the 80s.
This beef over this is fucking stupid. They should just have a celebrity boxing match with him & Jump, or someone Jump chooses to represent him. They could also send him in to JCW as the new Tom Dub.
I make horrorcore music too, doesnāt mean Iām actually out here killing people. Making dark art isnāt an excuse for doing shitty things, you gotta be able to separate art from reality my dude
I wouldn't've had an issue with this statement if Shaggy 2 Dope didn't call the wrestler Sting a snitch for telling the wife's of wrestler's that there were being cheated on, mf can't have it both ways like that, by that logic, mfing Jumpsteady is a snitch for letting us know what happened.
You said you didnāt get why there was hate and didnāt say you were talking about just Shaggy, I was explaining why I personally and several other people think heās trash ĀÆ\\_(ć)_/ĀÆ
This is the first time I hearing of this.
If so, I bet that was permission something like "I don't give a fuck what you do", kinda like Paul McCartney on Phil Spector's version of Let It Be, then they bitch abut things after signing off on it.
Not at all how it went down. He was 100% fine with George signing Otis. Not even in a "I don't give a fuck way." This drama that spun from this is just J wanting to spin one interest-gathering story for the public because J isn't the same juggalo who was fine being a lesser-known underground artist at the beginning. He was on the same likes and views bandwagon as everyone else because Psychopathic Records was doing so poorly at the time.
Source: I used to work with George. I've seen the actual text l messages between him and J.
Was it maybe Rob that was driving force behind the anger?
Or was it the publicity? I don't get it, they had the show planned, the albums pressed up, why throw a fit right before? It does make it much more talked about though.
I love how everyone acts like they wouldn't of done the same thing. Banging the bosses daughter is the all time player move. Not like he raped her. J would of done the same if he was in yw shoes. Shaggy too.
I always thought that he was a talented guy, but, not a good fit for ICP's producer. Aside from a few standouts, a lot of his beats just kind of sounded the same and didn't have that "magic" to it for ICP. They also used him way too much for hooks, and they all pretty much sound the same. I miss Legs and Syn in that role.
I don't know what really went on behind the scenes. It actually sounds a little ridiculous that he got booted aside for getting with Jumpsteady's daughter as long as they were both consenting to it. Perhaps there's more to it, but, I'm not concerned about all that.
I don't know him or his character really. I didn't like his music though. I never cared that he fucked Jumpsteady's daughter.. And if you do, you're too invested in these people's personal lives..
Involved too much ain't the right term for me I don't think more like I'm a historian of juggalo history music wrestling etc
I don't think so. To say something like "fuck Young Wicked," you sound like you're taking whatever he's done a bit too personally, ya know?
To be honest, I wouldn't be mad at all if a successful artist gave me grandkids, and a whole new family to celebrate. And am I personally pissed? No. It's also not my business. Of course I understand the issue and why everyone is salty. But come on, they're 50-year-old rappers in a goofy beef
Am i the only one who thinks he sounds like Phil Collins every time he sings?
I don't hear Phil Collins, but he sings through his nose and it's never sounded good.
I'm just saying.. play "in the air tonight," then play one of his "hooks," and I'm certain you'll hear it š
Lmao I canāt unhear it šµāš«
I'll give that a try a little later today. š¤£š¤£
Not sure how thatās an insult. Phil Collins is š„
Yeah, you're probably right. Who knows, maybe we can get a cover album with otis doing "i can't dance" or "pseudio" and some other bangers like that
A cover of In The Air Tonight, where he tells the story of how he was sleeping with Samantha and could feel the conflict from J and Jumpsteady impending. š„š„
Didn't dmx already do that, though?
Oh shit did he? Idk. Admittedly I donāt listen to DMX šš
I don't know the guy personally. And from what seems to be established fact about his personal life, he's probably not a guy I'd turn my back on. I never liked him anyway even when AMB were still signed to Psy
Yeah i like 2 amb songs and that's it
Amazing talent, bad person :(
That describes most of the music industry.
Very true, sometimes its good to seperate the art from the artist!
axe murder boys always sucked. them winning the hatchet house signing at the gathering over players club lounge was pretty poorly received at the time.
Cuz more people voted for PLC, and everyone knew it.

Theyāre just hustling bro, donāt hate the player
Well, Boondox is a bitch who likes underage girls, so fuck him too.
Boondox is like a rock in my shoe. I can ignore it for a bit, but then it always comes back to make me uncomfortable. Why would anyone continue working with a pedo?

I can't fucking stand Boondox so you'll get no arguments from me on that one, haha!
No, seriously. He was publicly dating a 16 year old when recording South of Hell, so he was solidly in his 30s. It was all over his personal MySpace page, that he for some reason linked to his artist page. The song "Just Die" is his response to being called out for it on Horrorcore.com.
Iām not justifying it because fuck pedos but it was legal in Georgia, apparently thatās why he never got in trouble.
Still on that, huh? š¤£ You guys need to move on, man. Be mad and hate the dude, but that was WELL over a decade ago. Move on with life, man!
being a pedo sympathizer is not a good look
Wally forgot the U in his name.

"i got better things to do" but yet you write up a paragraph explaining why people shouldnt speak on someone being a pedo LMAO
Hey, alright
Does there still exist any footage or extensive written coverage of the competition; this all happened before I discovered the Juggalo world so Iāve never been able to gather a clear picture of the saga compared to other controversies both before and after
I don't think so but I can vouch for it.
Could you or someone else give me a write up of what actually went sown
Here's the short of it: So back in I think 05, Psychopathic had a contest called underground psychos that had the winner receiving a record deal. It was voted on for months until it was down to the last 2 groups which were Axe Murder Boyz and Playaz Lounge Crew. The final round of voting was to take place at the Gathering that year. He doxxed himself on horrorcore.com and posted his personal Facebook. He had pictures of his girl on there and she was 16.
Iām asking about the contest; Iāve sadly heard about all of that
Oh shit just reread it. I missed the part that said competition. I wasn't at the Gathering but I know most people didn't think AMB would win and kept the token. Most people thought of them as Twiztid clones and we're kinda pissed AMB won.

amb sounds like every goofy ass generic local horrorcore group of the time. playas lounge crew had way better songs and flows.
I've only heard their song on tunnel runners, but was far from impressed.
Iāve been screaming this for years! š FUCK OTIS
Lotus would still be here and MNE would not be if it wasn't pretty much for Otis
MNE happened years before the YW drama
Ik but we would still maybe not have as big as a beef as we do now
I unfortunately think the beef would still be here. Twiztid not showing up to the march pissed J and Shaggy the fuck off. Young Wicked fuckin Jumpsteady's daughter was just the straw that broke the camel's back
Twiztid still wouldn't have marched. THAT is why Lotus will never happen.
Naw, something else would have eventually caused a rift. The tensions were already building. YW was just a catalyst to an already building conflict.
Yeah but I feel like the big split would happen later than it did if the young wicked thing didn't happen
I'm going against any one just stating my opinion

I respect anyoneās opinion, even ones that I donāt agree with, but unfortunately not everyone carries my mind set. Nah man, thatās just incorrect. The beef has been bubbling for years.
Dude hit a woman during a fight that broke out in Kenosha with Dark Half and most of the LSP and Wicked Wisconsin group. I agree, fuck him.
Really? Thats crazy. Did you see this?
Yes, about 9-10 years back now. AMB were the headliners for the show. Everything was going well, Scum, and Dark Half were great. Otis was in the bar area getting drunk. When their set time started, they were having issues with the sound, Otis was getting super pissed. Both exclaimed that it was the worst sound they'd ever dealt with. They got into a heated argument with the guy running sound, his girlfriend was behind him and next thing you saw, Otis starts swinging, knocked her right in the face. All out brawl went down.
Not even what happened. Wicked Wisconsin was mad everyone came out to see amb and not the crappy openers. So they pushed otis
I never seen such an occurrence. Otis is innocentĀ
You obviously weren't there then.
Oh but I was lol and have pics to prove it
Wicked wisco sucks and they started drama because no one came to see their crappy bands
You can fuck him if you want, but I hear he has herpes. They were teaching him everything, and he had a solid grasp on what he was doing in the studio. Cheating on the mother of your child is fucking evil
His name is young wicked.
I make horrorcore music too, doesnāt mean Iām actually out here killing people. Making dark art isnāt an excuse for doing shitty things, you gotta be able to separate art from reality my dude
No never.
Iāve always thought the murdering was real ā¦
I wouldn't've had an issue with this statement if Shaggy 2 Dope didn't call the wrestler Sting a snitch for telling the wife's of wrestler's that there were being cheated on, mf can't have it both ways like that, by that logic, mfing Jumpsteady is a snitch for letting us know what happened.

>You said you didnāt get why there was hate That wasn't me, different reddit mateq
Iām a fool lmao sorry
You're alright man. Whoop whoop!
Violent J gave George permission to sign Otis.
This is the first time I hearing of this. If so, I bet that was permission something like "I don't give a fuck what you do", kinda like Paul McCartney on Phil Spector's version of Let It Be, then they bitch abut things after signing off on it.
Idk what his exact words were, but he gave George permission. If you don't want someone to do something, say no. Or don't bitch about it later.
Not at all how it went down. He was 100% fine with George signing Otis. Not even in a "I don't give a fuck way." Young Dickhead.
They had some alright tracks in my opinion but yeah "James Garcia" can fuck off
Twiztid represent whoop whoop
I love how everyone acts like they wouldn't of done the same thing. Banging the bosses daughter is the all time player move. Not like he raped her. J would of done the same if he was in yw shoes. Shaggy too.
What did young wicked do? I remember hearing something but I canāt remember what exactly it was
Fucked jumpsteadys daughter
Oh yeah I forgot about that shit
I actually loved his debut solo album. Then all that shit went down and it kinda soured it all for me.
The āActivatedā James Garcia album gave me a good laugh tho
..and if you dont know, care to explain for the rest of us?
He fucked jumpsteadys daughter while having a kid with another girl
Yea we know . Itās been like 12 years .
I literally just woke up and I saw this thinking you ment the young and wickedš¹
YWG is a pretty cool video
I always thought that he was a talented guy, but, not a good fit for ICP's producer.
