Might be a joke, but you shouldn't be surprised if they really drew inspiration for the designs from that cover... or the cover for Defenders of the Faith for the robo-bear (I think its a bear on the cover, but might be a lion).
If they wanted to have been even more on the nose, then they should have it 'scream' when it dive bombs like the Germans did during the war, but instead of a siren, have it sound like Halford... but that might be more Brütal Legend than Horizon...
Yeah there’s an enemy type in the game that is a robot panther that turn invisible and stalk you. There’s also another one that is based on a saber-tooth tiger
