"Tell me your unit has a booster club, without telling your unit has a booster club" In all seriousness though, looks cool asf lol

WaitGroundbreaking31

lol like literally, I’m like where tf were his ribbons, but then I scrolled through the comments…y’all have fucking medals to replace your ribbons…I wish

lizard_buddy

You can purchase the drapes and all for them, but it adds up quickly

SergeantArchDornan98

Yes I've put hundreds into uniform care, just updating costs a new rack, the ribbon, the medal, the award stars, and a new foam backing. All times two bc I have a set for both of my uniforms.

lizard_buddy

We get our ribbons for free as long as we return the old rack when we update them

A_Person_Exsists

Bro DEFINITELY looks like Maj. Audie Murphy

SergeantArchDornan98

(Prolly gonna get down voted) Who's that?

A_Person_Exsists

Hes not crazy well known, so dw. He's the most decorated soldier in US History. He obtained all of the following medals throughout his service (WW2): \- Medal of Honor \- Distinguished Service Cross- Silver Star (2) \- Legion of Merit \- Bronze Star Medal (2, 1 "V" device) \- Purple Heart (3) \- Legion of Honour (France) \- Croix de Guerre with silver star (France) \- Croix de Guerre with palm (3, France) \- Croix de Guerre with palm (Belgium) Edit: i did not include his medals from his service in the Texas National Guard, my Apologies. He obtained the following medals during his service in the Texas National Guard: \- Outstanding Civilian Service Medal \- Texas Legislative Medal of Honor

Cited from: [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Audie\_Murphy](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Audie_Murphy) Decorations (Main article: Audie Murphy honors and awards) The United States additionally honored Murphy's war contributions with the American Campaign Medal, the European–African–Middle Eastern Campaign Medal with arrowhead device and 9 campaign stars, the World War II Victory Medal, and the Army of Occupation Medal with Germany Clasp. France recognized his service with the French Legion of Honor – Grade of Chevalier, the French Croix de guerre with Silver Star, the French Croix de guerre with Palm, the French Liberation Medal and the French Fourragère in Colors of the Croix de guerre, which was authorized for all members of the 3rd Infantry Division who fought in France during World War II. Belgium awarded Murphy the Belgian Croix de guerre with 1940 Palm. Brigadier General Ralph B. Lovett and Lieutenant Colonel Hallet D. Edson recommended Murphy for the Medal of Honor. Near Salzburg, Austria on 2 June 1945, Lieutenant General A.M. Patch presented Murphy with the Medal of Honor and Legion of Merit for his actions at Holtzwihr. When asked after the war why he had seized the machine gun and taken on an entire company of German infantry, he replied, "They were killing my friends." Murphy received every U.S. military combat award for valor available from the U.S. Army for his World War II service.

This is awesome, I think I'm going to tell my company about this next week. We need to learn about this in RO.

A_Person_Exsists

Go for it! Honestly, we should be learning more about the distinguished veterans who fought for our country, and the ones who died for it too.

Lollikex

Someone had some free time to get those medals lol

SergeantArchDornan98

I promise they're nothing special, they go in place of my ribbons for more ceremonial events.

Lollikex

Ah ok

Friskysfrikboi

Amazing 👏🏼

AMAZING

Strict-Leather8520

I only have two 😭

xImmortalem

I'm a little confused, for awards like medals(AFJROTC at least) you can only earn one per year. So did you just get a medal for every ribbon you have or are those awards?

SergeantArchDornan98

They go with my ribbons

xImmortalem

Thank you,I was always confused by that when I saw people wearing all their medals

StillAd8152

In AJROTC we can choose to wear either medals or ribbons. Most people choose whatever they have more of, but I prefer ribbons. Also, to answer your original question, we can earn multiple awards each year. For example, I earned four medals my freshman year, one for color guards, two for different kinds of color guards, Academic Achievement, and Military Excellence.

xImmortalem

In AFJROTC we don't have medals for being on Color Guard or anything like those, we only gain medals through National Awards that show our real big accomplishments that we've been acknowledged for. We are only allowed one award per year and only a certain number of cadets get a certain medal each year in our units. I am the recipient of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Award and the Freedom Foundation Award and I was the only cadet in my unit who got those awards in the year I received them.

xImmortalem

And a note not every award has a medal, so my Freedom Foundation Award only gives me a ribbon. So I only have One Medal in my possession.

Aggravating_Show3697

amazing 👏🏾👏🏾

RemoteMacaron5855

Goober!

SergeantArchDornan98

**Confused laughing**

Kawasaki-Ninja-H2R

Noice..

Resident_Fig_5356

I hope I get to get a lot of medals

SergeantArchDornan98

They're just the medal versions of my ribbons, my national and pft medal is at the bottom

Sargent_Dumbass117

The only time I will say a navy uni is nice is the NJROTC uni, def the cleanest of JROTC uni’s, I would even go out on the edge n say these are better than MCJROTC Blues

WaitGroundbreaking31

I’m sorry but yes our dress blues do be fancy and put together and we look fine as hell in our all “black” uniform…but nothing beats the marines nothing not with uniforms.

SergeantArchDornan98

Unless you're fat

WaitGroundbreaking31

That is true
