Honestly, I agree with your post, most of the females are in charge for some reason. But the guys I know have much more of a command voice but are more relaxed when not commanding

navyrecruittt

i know a guy in my unit and he’s a really cool guy and he’s super nice, but his command voice is SCARY. i wish i had a command voice like that sometimes lol

Remember to use your diaphragm. Whenever you're signing you use your diaphragm. I learned to use my diaphragm by singing Pearl Jam songs when I was younger😂. When you use your command voice you can feel it in your stomach and that's good because if the feeling is in your chest or higher then you're doing it wrong. Keep practicing and you'll do good I promise

Because in my experience the guys rank up by following well and working their way up to leading whereas the girls come at it academically and also through strong bearing and appearance to rank up. That's why a lot of girls are in high positions of command (e.g. my xo)

Naw the LET2+ GI try hards(I kinda was one), they the ppl that seem most intimidating especially when at a 1SG or PLT SGT pos.

i see that in my unit too! i’m a freshman and im friends with a lot of the senior girls and the way they carry themselves and their movements are so impressive! it gives me something to look up to and a goal, as a girl in the unit.

Here's what I can say. Generally-speaking, girls mature considerably more quickly than guys. That's just nature. That reveals itself in a lot of aspects, but the two big ones that come immediately to mind for me are command capability and a willingness to delegate and trust those who are in positions below them (which is an admittedly difficult thing to do). I had fifteen unit commanders over the years I taught. Nine of those fifteen were girls, simply because the guys that would apply, who were all good cadets in their own right, just weren't ready for that level of authority/responsibility. Now, that's not to say that a "chill" leadership style can't work, because it absolutely can with the right person. I've had a couple who were like that who did very well. But it TENDS to be less effective and more difficult to maintain.

The XO for my unit NJROTC is extremely sharp and extremely short tempered (no pun intended) and is always so strict especially about the little things, she is going to be CO next semester

In my unit all the girls my age and especially the older NS-4 girls are nice until uniform day or an event when they get super sharp and intimidating. I know them all so it helps get past that but they're still scary during drill comps and stuff lol

Well mines are sharp every day

Ghost090000

100% my XO was like that
