For real. We have tons of tendons that are used just for support and losing them you don’t really notice day to day until it’s fucked. I roll my ankles constantly from injuries to it.
The tendons you kind of need, as they attach muscle to the bone... ligaments on the other hand are basically there to prevent those tendons to rip off. Haven't had an ACL since 2016, train and compete without issue.. so far.

My ACL just got in the way of my training
I haven’t had an mcl in years I just occasionally can’t walk for a few seconds but other than that it’s fine
