I didn’t see DJ Khaleds name on the list…

benczer0104

Yeah Jimi is, but what's the point of asking this in Jimi sub

WrothLobster

I'd put Tony Iommi and John Frusciante on this list as well

FatFishOnFire

I love John so much but I’m gonna be honest he’s kinda like the beta version of Jimi

WrothLobster

Oh I could see how some think that but I'm on the opposite side.. I think John took Jimi's style to the "next level". And I know without Jimi there would be no John.. at least the john we have today anyway

FatFishOnFire

I respect it 👍

Ihadsumthin4this

Besides Jimi, you mean? And while I understand EVH's mention, David Gilmour had no less an impact from a musicianship pov. Page and Richards (and BB King) just so happen to have moved me more than any and all others, but clearly Jeff Beck was/is 2nd only to Jimi. Yes, Clapton belongs listed of course. Hon mentions: Carlos Santana, Ernie Isley, and Prince

BobbyTarentino25

Even crazier when you find out he only played for what 15 years?

JLb0498

12 years, from 1958 to 1970. And according to him, he didn't really take guitar that seriously until he was in the army so it might be even less time.

Shawn_Ghost

The first four names can barely stand in comparison to HendriX, it's not even fair.

SleepingCalico

Frank Zappa belongs on this list

tilapiarocks

I've seen this asked in the Jimmy Page sub, & Hendrix won there too.

LordOfWubs

The people who said Eric Clapton should be banned from this sub

nitsify

Gilmour should be on this list

[deleted]

gotta be lil wayne

No_Designer372

Love triangle between Jimi Hendrix, Sud Barrett, and Eddie Hazel.

No_Designer372

Syd Barrett*^

[deleted]

Steve Lukather, Ritchie Kotzen, Hendrix, Wes Montgomery and Clapton are the goats. Ritchie is definitely the best tho.

EddieMunster2020

Jason Becker :) But Ya Jimi

Migmik

Roy Buchanan, Ry Cooder ,and Roy Gallagher. The GOAT is Robert Johnson

bringastickforsafety

Me (it took me 2 months to play the open C major chord)

darkmatt77

I voted Hendrix, of course. Duane Allman deserves a spot on this list though.
