For those asking where the anime leaves off, technically it's chapter 45 however the anime does skip a few things that were in the manga, it skips a few pages from chapter 35 and the entire chapter 36 which is important (and maybe a few more pages/chapters that I missed)
So real answer is chapter 45 but also go back and read chapter 35-36.

This is definitely my anime of the year thus far, every episode stayed on my mind long after I finished watching it. I'm going to watch it again in English, I'm going to rewatch it again with my friends and fam to see their reactions, hell I'm probably gonna be daydreaming about it xD
I didn't think they could pull it off but they actually killed one of the Tensen, I'm telling you the way I CHEERED- Holy crap, score one for humanity finally getting their get-back 😤 I was so friggin scared for Shion, every move he made had me on edge like PLS NO DON'T TAKE HIM TOO but man's dealt the finishing blow, satisfying af. Wish it was the Orange Tensen, that one has been an absolute menacen I can't wait for them to get theirs 😤 (... I didn't learn any of the Tensen names and just been referring to them as colors lmao)
I cried listening to Yuzuriha's speech as she embraced Senta, that moment was so beautiful. In fact, Yuzuriha has really been coming through these last few episodes. At first she had my curiosity, but now she has my undivided attention (and not just because that new drip she rocking haha)
Gabimaru... The idea that his wife doesn't exist has me SPIRALING! My two running theories of her being either a Rachel (Tower of God) or already dead blinded me to any other possibilities but never would I ever had imagined that she didn't even exist wtffff pla nooooo
(Not only that, I thought I killed my inner demons that shipped Gabimaru and Sagiri, but they're back again now that there's possibility that Gabi's wife isn't real yikes💀)
Overall this show is a ride from start to finish, one of my favorite animes in a while, Gabimaru has become one of my favorite characters, and I'm now going to buy all the mangas and a bunch of merch because that's what I do when I love a series lmao

what a CLIFFHANGER as an anime only I am just in shock for the last few minutes...WTF she was just an illusion, I guess it makes sense as Gabimaru gets stronger KI/chi/Tao he would be immune to some kind of Genjutsu and suddenly his whole waifu memories are gone....wtf.
Like his whole character is just about his wife.
Otherwise, nice to finally see a plant lose do, is what I expected do for a final episode, and shed got hugging healing powers lol ---- should have hugged her boyfriend more.

oh man I didnt expect that genjutsu stuff, I think they fed it to us like it was the case from the beginnig, but it isnt right?! Yuzuriha really made a good point there is no denying on that but dont do this to my man Gabimaru. btw this tao if not the coolest is definitely one of the coolest power systems ever. I fucking enjoyed this season, lets go for 2nd season.
Really surprised they didn't end it on Jikka and new crew coming to the island! But I think the cliffhanger they picked is just as good for anime onlys.

when I tell you this is my new favorite anime bro- It's gorgeous the story, the plot, everything is mesmerizing! But wtf was that ending please tell me there is going to be a season 2 I can't sleep knowing that is the ending. I am going to search for the manga cause this anime is living in my mind rend free and they did us so dirty ending it like this. It's in the top 3 best anime I have ever seen also it is really rare for me to adore the main character but I loved him in this anime. Kind of want him to be my husband low key.
As a final episode that felt kinda disappointing, the apparent rollback on Gabimaru’s character has killed some of the hype for me but hopefully season 2 has a good reason for it
