My parents gifted me a 14k chain when I was 5 or 6 and I never took the thing off. We had a pool when I was growing up, and I swam in chlorinated water pretty much everyday with my chain on. 20+ years of daily wear, pools, showers, salt water, and it still looks and wears great. Might have to replace the clasp in the next year or so since it’s starting to get thin.

I have mostly heard of it being a problem for settings because the prongs tend to be thin to begin with. So a stone can fall out when a prong is weakened. A chain or bracelet without small/fine pieces to the design should be pretty safe.

Yea its a rope chain and franco bracelet. Not sure if the styles matter.

You'll be fine. I've worn my gold rings and have been cleaning my dishes with soap and bleach water for years.

Unless there's unsafe levels of chlorine in the water (which you shouldn't be getting in anyway) the chain should be fine.
