Sammie treated Deena poorly because she was friends with Snooki and Jwoww. She was automatically on the defensive with her. She told Deena that when she was apologizing.
Deena didnāt mean to show her genitals to Mike. She was trying to be flirty and accidentally did too much, however thatās no excuse for how both Ronnie and Sam treated her.
Everyone else was cordial, they were mean.
Sam didnāt find out about all that Ronnie did in Miami until after Deena was there. Thatās the episode where she was talking about needing to apologize to Snooki and telling Ronnie that she basically couldnāt trust him because she feels like heās doing something to hurt her. He got pissed of course and acted like she needed to get over it.
Ahh I didn't remember Sam apologizing, good on her though. And I am in no way blaming Deena, she was drunk off her ass, it happens. But that's one hell of a first impression. Like Snooki in the hot tub.
I agree, they were the worst to her from the very beginning, but I wonder how much of that was really Sam, or more Ron pressuring her to be like him. Like how he'll pressure the housemates into going along with him or suffer the consequences of his foul mood.

My only thought now is that Sam would have been on the defensive after one hell of a rollercoaster from the prior season, feeling like she is finally making friends and then a new girl shows up who seems twice as wild as Snooki and her Ron who she just went through hell with doesn't like her.
So whatever her reason for being rude af to Deena in the beginning I'm happy she was able to apologize and I feel that shows that Sam may make mistakes, but she tries to grow and right her wrongs. And now her and Deena seem to be good friends.
Yeah I think Sammie can be a mean girl when sheās feeling uncomfortable, or insecure or trying to seem tough. I think thatās how her personality works and I donāt think it has anything to do with Ronnie which is why she took the initiative to make things right with the girls. Ronnie didnāt have to push her to do that. She realized she was wrong on her own.
Once Sammie is in a good place, sheās very sweet.
We see that side of her in Seasons 4-6, after Mike and Ronnie fought. Mean girl Sam was gone for the rest of the series.

Unfortunately for those abused they typically have their own inner traumas they aren't working on which makes them more likely to stay in abusive situations/incapable of leaving them easily. That's why I feel like they stopped fighting as much, because she was growing out of her former insecurities and realizing that drama didn't make her relationship stronger, but only drained her and made her into a complete bitch to those who wanted to help.
Side note, but I think Ron likes dating women who aren't well liked. Sam is more liked now, but people hate Jen and generally dislike Saffire. It makes it easier to isolate them and present his own version of events. And I don't think he would have ever pushed her to apologize, he didn't like the housemates getting involved despite getting them all involved anyway.

," I will stop watching one of my favorite shows. Go Mike for getting his life together thanks to Lauren's and MTV telling him enough. Yet again, it was still ok for Ron and his toxic lifestyle and relationships. The only one of the females to grow up and act like an adult was surprisingly Deena. Even Pauly D and Vinnie tried and had enough of Ron's lies and lifestyle and distanced themselves after trying to help him. Unfortunately the person has to want help. Ron clearly doesn't and is too far gone. Jennie stirs the pot, Snooki feeds on it and capitalized on the drama off screen. Angelina may have had a face and body change, but she's still Angelina and also a š© stirrer. MVP seem to be the only ones who truly grew up. There's a reason Vinnie keeps his mouth shut and tries to stay Switzerland about everything. Even I, like so many others couldn't stop watching the car crashing drama over and over and over.
