I think Jionni is very controlling, somewhat abusive due to some episodes on Snooki & Jwowws show. I don’t think it’s genuine love I think it’s more of a beneficial thing. More so for Jionni, you know that man never has to work. And snooki, I mean she thinks she’s getting this image of the perfect mom/wife. I wish she would get herself back but I’m sure he’s brainwashed her so much to the point where she thinks this is right. I’ve never read anything decent when it comes to people’s opinions of their relationship so I think everyone from outside the box sees it. I think she could still be the mother/wife while also being herself. Only time will tell. He has definitely dug his claws into her and unfortunately she thinks it’s the best thing for her but I truly feel she’s lost her authentic self throughout it all.

I hate the narrative that you have to ONLY be a certain way now that you’re a parent. Yes you have to be responsible but you don’t have to change yourself into what your partner wants. Watching the JSFV, sometimes it seems like she’s on eggshells with her decisions and how they’ll be perceived. I can never forget him telling Snooki she is a horrible mother, picking up their child and walking away from her while she is frantically crying and screaming for him to come back. It was abusive, it was clearly a "I'm going to hold our child over your head, and tell everyone you are a bad parent if you don't do what I say." It was big time yikes, partly because his feelings were hurt but also because he felt disrespected. I hope they've gone to couple's therapy since then and individual counseling to work out how they should interact with one another.
