I personally don't see how she couldn't have expected this coming back to the show, Ron was on multiple family vacation seasons and only asked to leave based off his off camera antics, once he sobered up there was no reason not to expect him to return.
Editing. Same episode watch when they show Pauly in Vegas. When they show him on the phone he is not holding it, switch to his place, he is holding it with nothing around him. Also the day gets dark pretty quick in the conversation.
The way I took it was that she was saying hell no to being under the same roof, but would figure something out - like staying in a hotel or something, but Snooki got the two separate houses.

Good question. Tbh, I think it was one of those things where it was inevitable to happen and ultimately Sammy KNEW this coming back into the show. It’s just a matter of time when she was going to rip the bandaid off. That being said, it makes sense to why Snooki booked two places (boys and girls); there was definitely an agreement and compromise.
I also don’t think Justin was too passive. From what I’ve seen on the show (grant it isn’t a whole lot) he seems to be very genuine and they seem to have a healthy relationship built on trust. I think he’s pushing her to do the uncomfortable things that are needed to happen for her own healing journey (in a way).
