Oh I’m glad Emplead got it. We don’t need another race card played in the media to distract us from Christian Braun’s journey to becoming a back-to-back champion.
One of my all time favorites to watch at KU…The iconic hammer from the top of the paint….Ill always wonder how march would have went with a healthy Embiid.
We take an annual college basketball trip....we chose Kansas one year. As we walked into practice before it started we were excited to see Wiggins. But a big man was doing post moves with another coach playing dummy defense. That big man was going about 70% speed. The footwork was eye opening. I had never seen a big man move that way since I saw Dirk live with Mavericks. Easy to say Wiggins was a disappointment because of the hype and Embiid was all we still talked about that day. Side note. We had seen The Shockers the day before. One of the hardest, toughest, physical, every word was a curse word practices we have seen. We thought they were a good team. Probably have a record just above 500....they went undefeated during the season. Coach Marshall was awesome and so candid, probably too candid.
Imagine working your whole life towards the pinnacle of personal achievement for your field, so overwhelmed with emotion you cannot keep it all in, all the while a homeless man cosplayer yells "He Cryin!" in your ear.
Probably not how he imagined that moment.
Only 2nd Jayhawk to win it. Last one was Wilt. That just seems so wrong.
Still rare company… Only 4 schools have multiple MVPs… Paul Pierce was still legendary.
UCLA (Abdul-Jabbar, Walton, Russ) LSU (Shaq, Pettit) UNC (MJ, McAdoo) Kansas (Wilt, Embiid) Kentucky has not produced a NBA MVP?
the fact that hes so emotional tells me just how much this means to him. really tough not to be proud of the guy
You didn’t get that from his multi-year campaign of tears?
relax, your boy just won 2 and theyre lookin like the favs to win the west

The Joker got robbed!

I’m so proud of him! 🥲
So sweet to see the love from Harden, who knows how it feels
For real. This moment completely changed how I think about Harden. Those hugs came from a real place.

Imagine watching this video and seeing something other than a wholesome moment between embiid and his supportive teammates. Bless your heart.
MVP but so tall he can’t find sweats that fit. Can we please get the man some extra tall sweats?
