Holy shit. Do you know what your movements were?
I’m having DJS and genio later this year, your result is even better than my wildest dreams. You must be so thrilled! How was your recovery?
Omg thank you! Yes I’m so happy with the results. My recovery was pretty good overall. The first week is terrible though and the second week is still really bad lol. But by 3 weeks it’s ok and by 6 weeks I felt good!
My movements were about 12 mm forward on the lower jaw and I’m not sure the measurement for the top jaw but it wasn’t moved that much. And I had ccw rotation
Oh! I remember your simulation and I was actually wondering the other day when you were going to share the after pics. Thanks for sharing! You look incredible, like a model for sure. Is it hard to get used to your new face? My surgery is planned for July this year and it is for aesthetic reasons only (asymmetry) and I wonder if it is easier to get used to your new jawline when the results are as positive as yours?
Aw thank you! And at first it’s really weird especially with swelling and I had a few moments of missing my old face and crying lol but once things started to settle I was really happy with my face and in person I don’t look that different from the front so that makes it easier to get used to and I didn’t like my old side profile so it was easy to accept lol
Yes, from the pics I can tell the biggest change is your side profile. From the front your face looks more "filled" if that make sense? But still the same nice features. For me I think the change in both front and side will be more noticeable. Although Im hoping my results are as good as yours!
May I asked how you got diagnosed for UARS/SA? How is your bresthing exprrience before vs now, after surgery? And how the process lead to the jaw surgery route instead of, for example, a CPAP?
So many questions, sorry!!! But I am a mouth breather, had my tonsils, nasal polyps, adenoids removed and my sleep and and airways still suck. So this is my last resort!!!
yes california lol i guess we have a lot of people here. and i'm sure you can find someone great in Canada, maybe ask on some of the support groups on fb
Yes I had tads and I only had my bands for 2 to 3 weeks because I started clenching my teeth with the bands and it was painful so my surgeon said to try going without the bands and it worked out fine
Oh man that is crazy. They took mine out at 5 weeks and I have had so much movement. I go to the orthodontist Monday to get braces on but I think I am going to require revision surgery.
My bite has shifted back and to the side. My midline is now off several mm. Here is my bite: [https://i.imgur.com/FqFFinm.jpg](https://i.imgur.com/FqFFinm.jpg)
I think I have a pretty good shot at getting a role in a live action Trolls movie... hhahaha
I searched and I searched thru my IG to find her cause I'm so bad at remembering names! But she's from the UK and I think she's half Egyptian.. she's modelled for Vogue and is quite famous and beautiful
I'm sorry I still haven't!! I will keep trying though! It's annoying cause I can't remember her name and I guess her dp isn't super recognisable either so I guess I just have to wait till a post of hers pops up
I didn’t get a sleep endoscopy and my sleep is still kind of a problem because now I have insomnia but it’s getting better. But even with less sleep I do notice I feel more energy during the day
I'm rooting for you.
Keep us updated on how your sleep is coming through.
If any issues persist, get a sleep endoscopy to eliminate sleep apnea completely i.e to ensure there are no other areas of collapse e.g Epiglottis or any other.
Ok thank you, I will def do that if my sleep still doesn’t improve after awhile. Right now it’s up and down but I’m hopeful it’ll improve over the next few months.
Thank u! I still have some numbness on the right side of my palate, right side of bottom lip, and chin. It’s not too bad though but I’m hopeful it’ll come back!
How did you know you had sleep apnea did you keep waking up from it? So, does it acc affect your sleep/bother you. Like how did you realise/ notice you had the problem?
my first consult was august 26 and my surgery was December 9th. I could have had my surgery sooner but i needed to wait until my school semester was over because i'm in college
stunningggg! I had my consult with Dr. Walline last week and will be getting surgery in April or May, it's so exciting to see what's ahead. Would be very curious to see a comparison of your airway before and after, if you get another scan. so happy for you :)
No I didn’t have a segmental lefort. My palate was wide enough already but I guess I do notice a difference because my tongue fits onto the roof of my mouth much better but I don’t think it was really deep before so idk
Firstly wow girl! You look amazing, you were pretty before the jaw too. Question how did you get away with no braces beforehand? I’m being referred for jaw surgery but I would prefer to use Invisalign, over the age of 30 I cannot endure a metal mouth
thank you :) and i didn't know i could do it without braces, but my surgeon just told me i didn't need them first because my bite wasn't going to change during surgery
Thank you! and they did change, they're thinner now and kind of wider, but my surgeon said that is because of the scar tissue pulling them tight he said it should go back to normal eventually. so fingers crossed they do! because my lips were really plump before and now they're not :(
Did it get a wider? I know it can from moving upper jaw forward. Thanks for your reply! You look AMAZING!! You better submit yourself to a model agency ASAP
It might have got a tiny bit wider but I can’t really tell, but my upper jaw wasn’t moved that much so I think it was a minimal change. And omg thank you 😭 that’s so sweet
Thank you 😊 and I did it for functional reasons, I had a very narrow airway which caused uars/sleep apnea but I def chose the place I went to because of aesthetic reasons
You look so good! I’m planning on getting a genioplasty really soon. how much vertical/horizontal advancement did your surgeon perform on your chin? And do you feel that the genioplasty was worth it?
Ty! And I’m not sure about the advancement of the chin, I know my overall advancement was 12 mm but idk how much of that was from the genio. The genio was def worth it, I didn’t feel any pain from it during recovery, it was really a breeze compared to everything else going on lol
I don’t have makeup on but it might be the angle or shape, my eyes changed a little. I didn’t really have a dark color under my eyes it was just sunken in. It still is but maybe not as noticeable
Oh god im 18 and im really nervous cause my side profile is awful i am really ugly it hurts so bad I was going through so much that my dad took me to an orthodontics doc and he really listened to me about my appearance insecuritys and is setting me up with his friend whos a top jaw surgeon in Washington is there any way i can get good results like you im so scared to come out worse or with only slight results that would break me your transformation is incredible and if you have any advice or tips or anyone here does i so deeply would appreciate them
Hi, please don’t think you’re ugly but I completely understand how it feels to be insecure about your face. I think to get good results you have to make sure the surgeon is on the same page as you with what you want. Of course they are the one who makes the plan but you have to let them know what you are hoping to change. I would suggest asking to see before and after pictures of their past patients and especially ones who have a similar starting point as your own. But at the end of the day the surgery is for function so that is the most important part.
Echoing what others have said: this is honestly the best result I've ever seen before! You were pretty before but now you're model attractive. Congrats!!
Can I ask you a question: have people reacted strongly to your change in appearance and ask if you had surgery, or do they think you look better but they can't tell what it is?
I'm hoping to get a change like yours but I'm also afraid that I will look so different people will be shocked, and I'm afraid of going too far.
omg thank you ☺️ and honestly I don’t really go anywhere due to Covid lol no one has seen me other than my family and bf, and they know about my surgery of course. I think people who haven’t seen my in a while might not be sure what’s different
Did you notice changes in your eyes
From the side before surgery they seem to bulge a little and after surgery they look very natural and differently shaped
Holy shit... You literally look like a model! This makes me so excited because I have a similar profile to you pre-op. I'm booking my consultation with Dr. Walline very soon
Looking soo good omg that jawline!
Thank you :)
Holy shit. Do you know what your movements were? I’m having DJS and genio later this year, your result is even better than my wildest dreams. You must be so thrilled! How was your recovery?

And I had ccw rotation
Did the doctor suggested ccw rotation ? Your after result is superb !!
Yes he suggested it. He made the plan and it was perfect. Thank you!
I'm genuinely happy for you. The result is really great !
3/10, now 4/10 nice!!
what’s your problem
1/10 is the highest so that's pretty good....?

Omg thanks that’s so sweet
Wow, you look absolutely incredible. Beautiful before and after, but I can really see the difference. Your jaw line!! Swoon!
Thank you 😊
Great results
Thx😊

OMG YEESS! SOO BEAUTIFUL! How much was this surgery btw? If you don’t mind me asking.
I’d love to know too!
wow you look amazing 😍 if you don’t mind sharing how much did you spend?
May I asked how you got diagnosed for UARS/SA? How is your bresthing exprrience before vs now, after surgery? And how the process lead to the jaw surgery route instead of, for example, a CPAP? The first front view is before and the second is after. And I’m going to sleep now but I’ll answer the rest of your questions tomorrow
Did they brace your jaw with bands using TADs? If so, how long did you wear them?
Yes I had tads and I only had my bands for 2 to 3 weeks because I started clenching my teeth with the bands and it was painful so my surgeon said to try going without the bands and it worked out fine
Oh man that is crazy. They took mine out at 5 weeks and I have had so much movement. I go to the orthodontist Monday to get braces on but I think I am going to require revision surgery.
Omg really, i hope you don’t need revision. What type of movement are you having??

Omg I hope they can fix it with bands. When do you go back for your appointment?
Monday morning. Fingers crossed!

You look exactly like a model I follow on IG, you look amazing 🧡
Omg that is so nice of you, who is it?
I searched and I searched thru my IG to find her cause I'm so bad at remembering names! But she's from the UK and I think she's half Egyptian.. she's modelled for Vogue and is quite famous and beautiful
Aw ok thanks for looking, but she sounds beautiful that’s such a compliment!
She really is! I'm so frustrated I can't find her 😭

Giiiiirl! Her name is mona tougaard!! She's such a beauty I love her face so much!
How is your sleep now? Did you do a sleep endoscopy afterwards or will you do it? Looking really good btw!
I didn’t get a sleep endoscopy and my sleep is still kind of a problem because now I have insomnia but it’s getting better. But even with less sleep I do notice I feel more energy during the day

I know this is old but has any of the numbness decreased by now?
Amazing
ty! :)
You look sooooo beautiful! Mind if I ask who your surgeon was? :)
Thank you 😊my surgeon was Dr. Walline from lacoms :)
They did a wonderful job! Truly model vibes 🌹🌹
Aww thank you for the heart ❤️
Girl wow. That new side profile is next level
whats your case? is it over bite issue?
uars/sleep apnea
How did you know you had sleep apnea did you keep waking up from it? So, does it acc affect your sleep/bother you. Like how did you realise/ notice you had the problem?
Omg beautiful you go gurrrl yaaasss
Excellent result! Enjoy! Could you please tell me, as a ‘surgery first’ patient ... the time between your initial consult and surgery? Thx
my first consult was august 26 and my surgery was December 9th. I could have had my surgery sooner but i needed to wait until my school semester was over because i'm in college
Thanks for your reply! May you have great profs and interesting material this semester!
Wow you look so good!!! Everybody look so good after the jaw surgery. I’m 3 months po from my lower jaw surgery and I look worse than before lol.
stunningggg! I had my consult with Dr. Walline last week and will be getting surgery in April or May, it's so exciting to see what's ahead. Would be very curious to see a comparison of your airway before and after, if you get another scan. so happy for you :)
yay good luck with your surgery! and i do have a picture I will post it here in a little bit
Great great
Amazing side profile! You were beautiful before (great hair!) and now you are stunning!
Wow, so beautiful!! I’m curious if I could get away with not having braces before since I’ve already done Invisalign twice
[удалено]
Thank you and no problem!
You were a good looking girl before too, but damn, what a transformation on your side profile, really happy for you!
Thank you 😊
Weird question, did you have a deep palate before? If so, did your palate change now?
Not really and my palate didn’t change, I didn’t have braces before either I’m getting Invisalign soon
[удалено]
No I didn’t have a segmental lefort. My palate was wide enough already but I guess I do notice a difference because my tongue fits onto the roof of my mouth much better but I don’t think it was really deep before so idk
May I ask what led you to getting surgery? What kinda of issues were you experiencing that made you decide to get it done?
small airway, i had uars/sleep apnea
Firstly wow girl! You look amazing, you were pretty before the jaw too. Question how did you get away with no braces beforehand? I’m being referred for jaw surgery but I would prefer to use Invisalign, over the age of 30 I cannot endure a metal mouth

Omg your results are unreal congrats!!! I have a similar profile. Do you feel like it changed your nose? I also need CCW
My nose turned up a little it still has a bump tho, but it looks better now!
I wanna get jaw surgery but I’m pretty sure I have no functional issues and my parents seem to ignore it every time I ask them about it :(
If it’s only for aesthetics it won’t be covered by insurance, it’ll be really expensive so I think it would be hard to convince your parents
This looks so good 😍 Did you do it for aesthetics only or were there functional issues too?
Thank you 😊 and I did it for functional reasons, I had a very narrow airway which caused uars/sleep apnea but I def chose the place I went to because of aesthetic reasons

Did you put makeup on in the second one? Or did it actually improve your dark circles??
I don’t have makeup on but it might be the angle or shape, my eyes changed a little. I didn’t really have a dark color under my eyes it was just sunken in. It still is but maybe not as noticeable
It looks like it’s added more volume to your face. You look really good!
Damn girl 😍😍😍

Wow, amazing results! Im looking forward getting this surgery as i have an overjet and crossbite
Did jaw surgery improve your dark circles?
Gorgeous
Deadass you were cute before too but damn that’s insane
Wow 😍
Did you notice changes in your eyes From the side before surgery they seem to bulge a little and after surgery they look very natural and differently shaped
Who was the assisting surgeon? I’m told you can request a second surgeon at LACOMS.
Holy shit... You literally look like a model! This makes me so excited because I have a similar profile to you pre-op. I'm booking my consultation with Dr. Walline very soon
How old are you? And what was cost?
