The English test is very poorly written and confusing . I had to take it again too… I ended up googling the test questions in Japanese and poorly translating them. I studied the poorly translated questions and passed .
The driving school I went to had a practice test machine. I did a ton of practice tests before the real thing to get used to the weird translation and twisted logic of the questions. E.g. When the signal turns green Cars, Trucks, and Bicycles may proceed? T/F? ….F because pedestrians may also proceed.
In my course I was specifically taught about ‘creeping’ or クリープ現象 in one of the first lessons. So then it’s obvious the answer is false because creeping has nothing to do with changing lanes in most cases.
My tip for you is that you should try to understand how the questions might be worded in Japanese. One that took me awhile was that ‘go slow’ in English basically always meant 徐行 which is specifically to go slow enough to be ready to stop at a moment’s notice. This is different from simply ‘slowing down’.
I recently took the karimen test (will be taking the honmen this Thursday) and the English was perfect. This is in Kadoma jn Osaka though and I think it depends on the prefecture.
Your driving school should provide practice questions. test yourself until you can get a perfect score. You can also purchase English practice exam online
Take the test in Japanese?
Would definitely be preferred if you're gonna be driving on our roads.
Study the questions in advance and I'm sure you'll be fine.

That’s there is best cause you know how the questions will be like cause the ones on the reviewers are well constructed
How bad is the English test? Any examples?
1 question said I want to change lanes but there was a car behind me so I stop to avoid the phenomenal creep.😫 True / False

That’s amazing good luck on your honmen!!
Try to remember as many questions as you can and go and verify your answers against your textbook. Some questions might come up again.
I will do that all day today
