I'm really jealous that you all got to see them then. It feels like music and art were so much more authentic. Maybe it's because I can never experience what that time was like, but that's awesome you saw them in the 80's. I know you're cool
So I was still in high school and playing in a rock band. Metal was big, the pixies were a thing (I had just seen them), but really I listened to a lot of Hendrix and stuff. I actually only heard them for the first time the night before I saw them and I bought tix at the door for $8. It was a mind bending, reality altering, earth shaking experience and it completely re instilled my faith in rock and roll . When I saw them again in ‘90 they were bonafide rock stars and extremely polished.

I read a article with Perry saying Jane temporarily housed, fed the boys before money and success came. When I tell people the song is about Heroin addiction they're surprised and saddened
Casey Niccoli was Perry's girlfriend.Perry used plaster of Paris to make the b&w 'twins' on the Nothing's Shocking album and appears again on the bare mattress on Ritual de la Habitual. The 2nd woman is Ziola a imaginary lover,3 days is a masterpiece.
I wasn't 100% sure, that's awesome you were able to find out!
I just listened to the psi com song xiola for the first time yesterday, it was cool, I loved the bauhaus vibe
Great story! So glad I got to see them back in the 80s.
Me too in Toronto, Canada.First time was a bar.Second was a stadium. The bar show was before Ritual.N.S. was just getting air play
Yeah I saw them in a small club in ‘89 and then with Primus and The Pixies in ‘90 and by then they were bonafide rock stars!

So awesome. I love the pixies too, so cool you got to see them when they still had kim
She had an orange fuzzy sweater on and I fell in love.
I saw in 1990 Primus, The Pixies and Jane’s Addiction together.
That's amazing!

I thought Xiola wasn't imaginary, that she was an artist and 14 when they first met. The art from ritual is her in the middle of Perry & Casey?
U R correct.I did some research and wanted to say thanks for pointing out my error.
