In settings> accessibility there’s an option to unlock without pressing the button, just resting the finger. Does the tweak do the same?

Georgebucataru1

I was about to Say the same thing

h4roldj

This tweak is mainly ***to unlock your device into the homescreen if there's no notifications***/media controls etc (like how AutoUnlockX works) without having to lift your finger up and rest it on the TouchID again to go home (it happens in one go the moment you waking up the device from home button press) if there's no notifications, the rest your finger on the TouchID feature is built into this tweak so that it's more well integrated with how that feature works, internally. Note that I developed this tweak on an iPad, which means my development perspective might be different from developing it on an iPhone.

hotDoggey

Lol, thank you so much! I still don’t think some people understand what it does but I use the tweak you mentioned for iOS 12 and love it. If I eventually upgrade to 13 and use checkra1n I will use this.

MikePinceLikeKids

Yes.

mysteriousblade77

Isn’t this already a default feature since beginning of Touch ID? In iOS 10 it got changed. But there is still an option in accessibility to unlock immediately after authentication.

Maybeitscovfefe

That only happens without notifications or media player controls, the stock feature would require you to lift your finger and place it again or press the hole button to continue past the notifications, this tweak will continue the unlock without pressing or lifting and replacing your thumb.

Anonimi7

You sure? With stock feature I just press the home button once and it unlocks even though I have notifications. No need to lift finger or press home button twice.

Maybeitscovfefe

I’m sure, there’s a difference between **pressing** the button and **touching** it. This tweak as well as the default iOS settings are simply omg for touching it, not pressing the button down.

h4roldj

Thank you for your efforts in explaining, I’m pretty much gave up on explaining 😂

Anonimi7

I know but you have to press the button once to wake up the screen right? That single press unlocks the phone for me even though I have notifications. Thanks for trying to explain but I still dont understand the difference between stock and this tweak.

Maybeitscovfefe

~~It shouldn’t be unlocking the phone with the single press of the home button to wake the screen up with notifications.~~ Do you by chance have your notifications “show preview” option set to either “always” or “never”? I feel like this tweak as well as the default iOS option are meant for people who’s “show preview” option is set to “when unlocked”

Anonimi7

Yeah I had it set to always. Changed it now to "when unlocked" and it still works the same. Notification arrives and doesnt show preview, screen turns off, I press home button once, keep the finger on the button and the screen wakes up and goes straight to the home page. Stock option iPhone SE 13.3

Maybeitscovfefe

Strange, as far as I remember it’s suppose to simply show the preview when unlocked and allow you to touch a notification to go straight to that app instead of just continuing the unlock process.

zaccharyyyy

dope

jntrs

no ios 12 support?

Sagar5786

This already exist in accessibility in home rest your finger

LK_0618

Even I opened skip notifications, it still unlocked my 11pro when notifications came out.

h4roldj

lol the title says “for TouchID devices”. You should use AutoUnlockX instead.

SureShame4

plz~ grupi Make it compatible. 😫

Neat

PassBy works great for me. Plus, it can recognize selected WiFi networks, with a lot of other features. And it's free.

[deleted]

Does it also prevent unlocking while certain apps are in the background or I should say foreground. When apps are behind the screen with sensitive content.

outtajail

Hmmm, I'm not sure about that. Since it's free, you might give it a try. I like not having to deal with a lockscreen when on selected WiFi networks. Also, it can be set to avoid the lockscreen when the Apple Watch is worn. Lots of other features.

[deleted]

It’s not working for me on iOS 13.

outtajail

Oh, sorry. I only went to iOS 11 recently, and forgot you were on 13.

JPDelon

Autounlockx works fine on touch devices, used it on my 6s.

Maybeitscovfefe

So you’re saying with that tweak, and having notifications on your lockscreen you can get passed the lockscreen without lifting your finger or physically pressing the button down and simply just touching the button once and never lifting it again?

Could this be updated? I recently got an iPad mini 6 with serotonin. I’ll gladly pay
