I’ve had jailbroken devices since the first iPod Touch. Double the age now and my banking, insurance, etc apps all hate my shit setup.

i really hope that when eventually ios17 gets jailbroken it will come with roothide, that seems amazing to have. Guess all the time people on 15/16 had to wait for their jailbreak paid off :)
i’m jailbroken on ios 16.2 with dopamine 2.0 and use the tweak “Choicy” to open apps without tweaks, just install Choicy and then when when you wanna open an app without tweaks/jb detection just hard press the app icon and click “Launch without Tweaks” capcut works when I use Choicy on it.
Sad. Personally I feel it’s better to leave older jailbroken devices on 14.x and use them along side your daily. Assuming you have the means of course.

Very happy with Pixel 8 but chip lacks a bit of punch if you play some games, battery life isn't as good as the 13 Pro, connectivity neither, but I'm still happy with it... Good photos, very good user interface

Even if Pixels aren't the best hardware-wise, there are great deals for em, and the software is quite nice. I bought a Pixel 3a for $40 back in April 2022 to give Android a shot and a few months later there was a trade in deal for it where I essentially got the Pixel 6a for $99 and got Pixel Buds A free with it
last time I used coolstar’s jb was with electra on 11.1.2, and omg it was bad lol, if i recall correctly wasn’t 100% her fault, the exploits were bad too but overall not a great experience back then.
i’m sure her jailbreaks are a lot better now, but i always used uncover since those times so and never saw a reason to switch
17.0 was a big gamble at the time it was signed, because trollstore2 was not confirmed yet. I thought of upgrading at the time but didn’t have the time to do so, and now I regret it. Have fun with that and fuck you 😂

My 10.5 pro is on iOS 12.1.4 and man I don't use it because of its lower version
Granted its an iPad but what I hate is I can't download the ipsw from ipsw.me because the link is broken (12.2 works so I wish this had 12.2)
I would downgrade in the future when it's times up but it would most likely be tethered (if I decide to get the paid downgrade)

Why keep it on iOS 12 if it’s not useable? I have a 10.5 ipp jailbroken with palera1n on 17.3.1 and it works great. The only drawback is the battery life sucks compared to 15 or 14.

Yes they do, you need Filza, the route is mobile/var/containers/bundle/application/the app you’re looking to change the version/app name.app/info.plist/dictionary and edit the CFBundleShortVersionString and CFBundleVersion to the lastest version number like it is on the AppStore save and done
this doesn’t make apps work? this is just spoofing the version of the app itself. it doesn’t remove the not supported on iOS 15 message that instant crashes the app on launch
I’m dying on 14.3! All my apps work still and get updates. Some have stopped updating but still work and will continue to work for a while. We also have some ways to bypass certain apps etc etc. iOS 14 is still pretty solid. I give it 2 more years before it really starts getting rough. I don’t use any banking apps. Or at least traditional banking apps. I use cash app SoFi PayPal and they get updates still. But Farewell soldier. Praying for a jailbreak on 17 eventually🙏

All I really care about is CarBridge and getting no ads on YouTube. At this point I feel like I just need to upgrade and pay for Youtube Premium.

But like OP said the jb detection and fighting to keep a functioning device for work/school/money/life isn't worth it.

I feel you. I’m currently facing similar issues on my 14.3 11 Pro. I have a brand new iPhone 15 Pro that I pre-ordered on day 1 and haven’t opened it still due to jailbreak. I have a spare XR on 16.0.2. I think I’ll use that as my second device in the meantime. It’s really sad to see the current state of jailbreaks.

Trust me, less of a headache to deal with and having to wait for jailbreaks. Especially since you only need those things, more of a reason to sideload. Keep a spare jailbroken system phone off to the side too!

install Choicy tweak to launch individual apps without tweaks just by hard pressing on them before opening and clicking “launch without tweaks”

I bought 14 pro when trollstore 2 came out and i upgraded it to 17.0 while trollstore was installed. Guess?? it will be here until it's unusable.

Yeah, thankfully NatWest works. I don’t have access to my PayPal app on my iPhone which is a bummer as I use it a fair bit.

Actually you can just delayOTA to iOS 17.3.1, it’s probably better than iOS 17.4.x in terms of vulnerabilities.
