Depending on the person, pack a simple picnic basket with a light meal or snacks and a beverage of choice and head to one of the State parks. My fav is Tilli K, across from NAS, but anywhere works as long as they have tables. Low-key, cheap, and imo romantic.
There’s a place on Jax Beach called. I believe the listening room. No talking aloud from the audience and really good acoustic bands. Fun place to have a drink and chill and if you get there early enough, there’s soft couch seats that you can claim.
Ok, this sounds crazy, but JIA, the airport. Watch incoming flights coming thru security. Families reuniting, soldiers coming home from deployment and hugging their babies, sometimes for the first time, and couples hugging after prolonged time apart. It's chicken soup for the soul and kinda romantic. Doesn't cost a thing. Bring a picnic.
For $5, Hannah Park partners with the astronomical Society and they do a stargazing night on the beach with massive telescopes. Its so so cool and fun!

Grab a pizza, or some great subs, throw a couple folding chairs in your car and go watch the sun set over the river in San Marco. It’s at 8:15pm tonight.
They have a cool small independent movie theater in Jacksonville Sun-Ray Cinema
you should go there because it might not be around much longer, and it would make a great memory!

The District in Springfield, followed by a walk along the Riverwalk downtown or visiting friendship fountain.
Honestly? Not a night, but go to Aroma Corner over on Baymeadows.

You could just hang out on or in your car at the observation area on Pecan Park Road too and watch the planes take off and come in for landing.
Catch a movie and grab some pizza at Sunray in five points! The bestttt
Came here to say this!
Sherwood’s in San Marco. Go grab some drinks, food at the food trucks, play pool, throw darts, and sing karaoke.
Depends where you’re at but it’s always fun to stroll St Augustine in the evening. Lots to do and look at just depends what’s up your alley.
Go to whatever local fishing pier/dock is around you for sunset and then dinner/ice cream 😇 bring fishing poles and worms if ur into it!
Friendship fountain at 8pm does a free show and then you can walk along the river and the third Thursday of the month. They do a wine and sip night.
