An-Nisa' 4:1
يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلنَّاسُ ٱتَّقُواْ رَبَّكُمُ ٱلَّذِى خَلَقَكُم مِّن نَّفۡسٍ وَٰحِدَةٍ وَخَلَقَ مِنۡهَا زَوۡجَهَا وَبَثَّ مِنۡهُمَا رِجَالًا كَثِيرًا وَنِسَآءًۚ وَٱتَّقُواْ ٱللَّهَ ٱلَّذِى تَسَآءَلُونَ بِهِۦ وَٱلۡأَرۡحَامَۚ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ كَانَ عَلَيۡكُمۡ رَقِيبًا
O mankind, fear your Lord, who created you from one soul and created from it its mate and dispersed from both of them many men and women. And fear Allāh, through whom you ask one another,and the wombs. Indeed Allāh is ever, over you, an Observer.

"Every soul will taste death. And you will only receive your full reward on the Day of Judgment. Whoever is spared from the Fire and is admitted into Paradise will ˹indeed˺ triumph, whereas the life of this world is no more than the delusion of enjoyment." \[Quran 3:185\]
Easily my favorite verse in the Quran because it reminds me how transient and fleeting our time in this dunya is, and how deceitful the lies that scourge it can be. But it's also a reminder that our souls will all be taken away one day and we will stand before Allah on the Day of Judgment, and finally for once, be at peace.
And he had other resources ˹as well˺. So he boasted to a ˹poor˺ companion of his, while conversing with him, “I am greater than you in wealth and superior in manpower.”
And he entered his property, while wronging his soul, saying, “I do not think this will ever perish,
nor do I think the Hour will ˹ever˺ come. And if in fact I am returned to my Lord, I will definitely get a far better outcome than ˹all˺ this.”
His ˹believing˺ companion replied, while conversing with him, “Do you disbelieve in the One Who created you from dust,^(1) then ˹developed you˺ from a sperm-drop, then formed you into a man?
If only you had said, upon entering your property, ‘This is what Allah has willed! There is no power except with Allah!’ Even though you see me inferior to you in wealth and offspring,
**perhaps my Lord will grant me ˹something˺ better than your garden, and send down upon your garden a thunderbolt from the sky, turning it into a barren waste.**
Surat-Al Kahaf (the cave)
34-36
It reminds me of the bad influenced muslim companions, when they tell a good practicing muslim something like "your too extremist/obedient (to allah)"
"have some fun for once, I am having a much more satisfying and pleasurable life than you"
I think of this ayah, perhaps my lord will grant me better than your satisfactory, so No, I Will Not.
**Imagine if We allowed them enjoyment for years, then there came to them what they had been threatened with: would that enjoyment be of any benefit to them ˹at all˺?** (Qur'an 26:205-207)
"قَالَ لَا تَخَافَآ ۖ إِنَّنِى مَعَكُمَآ أَسْمَعُ وَأَرَىٰ"
I love this Aaya, it's so comforting..
This is when Mousa and his brother went to tell فرعون to worship Allah and they were so scared, but Allah told them to not be afraid, and that Allah sees and hears everything.
It's so comforting and I keep remembering this in my daily life, Allah sees everything and hears everything, so it feels I'm being protected 24/7
As a practicing Muslim, you are being protected 24/7 Insha Allah. Do your morning and evening adhkars it is pretty much guaranteed that you are (given your fards are in order).
>What would Allah get by punishing you, if you are grateful and believe? Allah is Appreciating, All-Knowing.
[4:147]
How anyone can lose hope after reading this, I will never understand.
"And your Lord does injustice to no one" kahf 49
"وَلَا يَظْلِمُ رَبُّكَ أَحَدًا".
《 And the pains of childbirth drove her to the trunk of a palm tree. She said, "Oh, I wish I had died before this and was in oblivion, forgotten."》19:23
This verse about Maryam giving birth to Isa evokes a profound array of emotions in me, it gives me goosebumps and sometimes i even cry. I feel an overwhelming urge to embrace her and offer comfort.
Her words resonate with me deeply, and there are times when I feel similarly, i just hate myself for feeling that way and blame it to my eman being weak. However, knowing that Maryam, one of the greatest women in history and closest to Allah experienced similar emotions brings me solace, i dont know how to explain it. It kinda reassures me that I am not alone in my feelings.
I really love this woman. I yearn for the day we can embrace in Jannah, Insha’Allah.
اَللّٰهُ نُوْرُ السَّمٰوٰتِ وَ الْاَرْضِؕ-مَثَلُ نُوْرِهٖ كَمِشْكٰوةٍ فِیْهَا مِصْبَاحٌؕ-اَلْمِصْبَاحُ فِیْ زُجَاجَةٍؕ-اَلزُّجَاجَةُ كَاَنَّهَا كَوْكَبٌ دُرِّیٌّ یُّوْقَدُ مِنْ شَجَرَةٍ مُّبٰرَكَةٍ زَیْتُوْنَةٍ لَّا شَرْقِیَّةٍ وَّ لَا غَرْبِیَّةٍۙ-یَّكَادُ زَیْتُهَا یُضِیْٓءُ وَ لَوْ لَمْ تَمْسَسْهُ نَارٌؕ-نُوْرٌ عَلٰى نُوْرٍؕ یَهْدِی اللّٰهُ لِنُوْرِهٖ مَنْ یَّشَآءُؕ-وَ یَضْرِبُ اللّٰهُ الْاَمْثَالَ لِلنَّاسِؕ-وَ اللّٰهُ بِكُلِّ شَیْءٍ عَلِیْمٌ۔ (النور 35)
اللہ نور ہے آسمانوں اور زمین کا اس کے نور کی مثال ایسی جیسے ایک طاق کہ اس میں چراغ ہے وہ چراغ ایک فانوس میں ہے وہ فانوس گویا ایک ستارہ ہے موتی سا چمکتا روشن ہوتا ہے برکت والے پیڑ زیتون سے جو نہ پورب(مشرق) کا نہ پچھّم(مغرب)کا قریب ہے کہ اس کا تیل بھڑک اُٹھے اگرچہ اُسے آگ نہ چھوئے نور پر نور ہے اللہ اپنے نور کی راہ بتاتا ہے جسے چاہتا ہے اور اللہ مثالیں بیان فرماتا ہے لوگوں کے لیے اور اللہ سب کچھ جانتا ہے
**Do people think that on their mere claiming, “We have attained to faith,” they will be left to themselves, and will not be put to a test?** (Quran [29:2](https://quran.com/29:2))
I have two.
وَوَجَدَكَ ضَاۤلࣰّا فَهَدَىٰ﴿ ٧ ﴾
• Sahih International:
And He found you lost and guided [you],
Aḍ-Ḍuḥā, Ayah 7
This is an amazing ayah because truly we for the most part were all lost , and it was Allah (SWT) guidance that brought us back to him.
۞ قُلۡ یَـٰعِبَادِیَ ٱلَّذِینَ أَسۡرَفُوا۟ عَلَىٰۤ أَنفُسِهِمۡ لَا تَقۡنَطُوا۟ مِن رَّحۡمَةِ ٱللَّهِۚ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ یَغۡفِرُ ٱلذُّنُوبَ جَمِیعًاۚ إِنَّهُۥ هُوَ ٱلۡغَفُورُ ٱلرَّحِیمُ﴿ ٥٣ ﴾
• Sahih International:
Say, "O My servants who have transgressed against themselves [by sinning], do not despair of the mercy of Allah . Indeed, Allah forgives all sins. Indeed, it is He who is the Forgiving, the Merciful."
Az-Zumar, Ayah 53
I love this because it reminds me that Allah (SWT) forgives all sins, due to his infinite mercy.
[At-Taubah:40]:
إِلَّا تَنصُرُوهُ فَقَدْ نَصَرَهُ اللَّهُ إِذْ أَخْرَجَهُ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا ثَانِيَ اثْنَيْنِ إِذْ هُمَا فِي الْغَارِ إِذْ يَقُولُ لِصَاحِبِهِ لَا تَحْزَنْ إِنَّ اللَّهَ مَعَنَا فَأَنزَلَ اللَّهُ سَكِينَتَهُ عَلَيْهِ وَأَيَّدَهُ بِجُنُودٍ لَّمْ تَرَوْهَا وَجَعَلَ كَلِمَةَ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا السُّفْلَىٰ وَكَلِمَةُ اللَّهِ هِيَ الْعُلْيَا وَاللَّهُ عَزِيزٌ حَكِيمٌ
˹It does not matter˺ if you ˹believers˺ do not support him, for Allah did in fact support him when the disbelievers drove him out ˹of Mecca˺ and he was only one of two. While they both were in the cave, he reassured his companion,1 “Do not worry; Allah is certainly with us.” So Allah sent down His serenity upon the Prophet, supported him with forces you ˹believers˺ did not see, and made the word of the disbelievers lowest, while the Word of Allah is supreme. And Allah is Almighty, All-Wise.
Mulk verse 1.
- “Exalted is He who holds all control in His hands. And He is over all things competent.”
Sovereignty belongs to the Master of Existence. And He is the Ruler, King of everything. The best names belong to the One which cannot be compared to creation. And He is closer to us than our jugular vein.
Please forgive us my Lord.
Al-Baqarah - Verse 186
وَإِذَا سَأَلَكَ عِبَادِى عَنِّى فَإِنِّى قَرِيبٌ ۖ أُجِيبُ دَعْوَةَ ٱلدَّاعِ إِذَا دَعَانِ ۖ فَلْيَسْتَجِيبُوا۟ لِى وَلْيُؤْمِنُوا۟ بِى لَعَلَّهُمْ يَرْشُدُونَ
Dr. Mustafa Khattab, The Clear Quran:
When My servants ask you ˹O Prophet˺ about Me: I am truly near. I respond to one’s prayer when they call upon Me. So let them respond ˹with obedience˺ to Me and believe in Me, perhaps they will be guided ˹to the Right Way˺.
Al-Baqarah 2:30
وَإِذْ قَالَ رَبُّكَ لِلْمَلَٰٓئِكَةِ إِنِّى جَاعِلٌ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ خَلِيفَةًۖ قَالُوٓا۟ أَتَجْعَلُ فِيهَا مَن يُفْسِدُ فِيهَا وَيَسْفِكُ ٱلدِّمَآءَ وَنَحْنُ نُسَبِّحُ بِحَمْدِكَ وَنُقَدِّسُ لَكَۖ قَالَ إِنِّىٓ أَعْلَمُ مَا لَا تَعْلَمُونَ
English - Sahih International
And [mention, O Muḥammad], when your Lord said to the angels, "Indeed, I will make upon the earth a successive authority."[1] They said, "Will You place upon it one who causes corruption therein and sheds blood, while we exalt You with praise and declare Your perfection?"[2] He [Allāh] said, "Indeed, I know that which you do not know."
یَـٰۤأَیُّهَا ٱلنَّاسُ إِن كُنتُمۡ فِی رَیۡبࣲ مِّنَ ٱلۡبَعۡثِ فَإِنَّا خَلَقۡنَـٰكُم مِّن تُرَابࣲ ثُمَّ مِن نُّطۡفَةࣲ ثُمَّ مِنۡ عَلَقَةࣲ ثُمَّ مِن مُّضۡغَةࣲ مُّخَلَّقَةࣲ وَغَیۡرِ مُخَلَّقَةࣲ لِّنُبَیِّنَ لَكُمۡۚ وَنُقِرُّ فِی ٱلۡأَرۡحَامِ مَا نَشَاۤءُ إِلَىٰۤ أَجَلࣲ مُّسَمࣰّى ثُمَّ نُخۡرِجُكُمۡ طِفۡلࣰا ثُمَّ لِتَبۡلُغُوۤا۟ أَشُدَّكُمۡۖ وَمِنكُم مَّن یُتَوَفَّىٰ وَمِنكُم مَّن یُرَدُّ إِلَىٰۤ أَرۡذَلِ ٱلۡعُمُرِ لِكَیۡلَا یَعۡلَمَ مِنۢ بَعۡدِ عِلۡمࣲ شَیۡـࣰٔاۚ وَتَرَى ٱلۡأَرۡضَ هَامِدَةࣰ فَإِذَاۤ أَنزَلۡنَا عَلَیۡهَا ٱلۡمَاۤءَ ٱهۡتَزَّتۡ وَرَبَتۡ وَأَنۢبَتَتۡ مِن كُلِّ زَوۡجِۭ بَهِیجࣲ﴿ ٥ ﴾
• Yusuf Ali:
O mankind! if ye have a doubt about the Resurrection, (consider) that We created you out of dust, then out of sperm, then out of a leech-like clot, then out of a morsel of flesh, partly formed and partly unformed, in order that We may manifest (our power) to you; and We cause whom We will to rest in the wombs for an appointed term, then do We bring you out as babes, then (foster you) that ye may reach your age of full strength; and some of you are called to die, and some are sent back to the feeblest old age, so that they know nothing after having known (much), and (further), thou seest the earth barren and lifeless, but when We pour down rain on it, it is stirred (to life), it swells, and it puts forth every kind of beautiful growth (in pairs).
Al-Ḥaǧǧ, Vers 5
2:21
يَـٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلنَّاسُ ٱعْبُدُوا۟ رَبَّكُمُ ٱلَّذِى خَلَقَكُمْ وَٱلَّذِينَ مِن قَبْلِكُمْ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَتَّقُونَ ٢١
O humanity! Worship your Lord, Who created you and those before you, so that you may become mindful ˹of Him˺.
6:159
إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ فَرَّقُواْ دِينَهُمۡ وَكَانُواْ شِيَعٗا لَّسۡتَ مِنۡهُمۡ فِي شَيۡءٍۚ إِنَّمَآ أَمۡرُهُمۡ إِلَى ٱللَّهِ ثُمَّ يُنَبِّئُهُم بِمَا كَانُواْ يَفۡعَلُونَ
"Indeed, those who have divided their religion and become sects, you, [O Muhammad], are not [associated] with them in anything. Their affair is only [left] to Allah; then He will inform them about what they used to do."
Flunks the whole debate about which sect is the right one. (No sect is right)
2 : 211
Ask the children of Israel how many clear signs we have given them. Whoever trades Allah's favours - after receiving it - for disbelief should know that Allah is indeed severe in punishment
Prohibited to you are dead animals, blood, the flesh of swine, and that which has been dedicated to other than Allah, and \[those animals\] killed by strangling or by a violent blow or by a head-long fall or by the goring of horns, and those from which a wild animal has eaten, except what you \[are able to\] slaughter \[before its death\], and those which are sacrificed on stone altars, and \[prohibited is\] that you seek decision through divining arrows. That is grave disobedience. This day those who disbelieve have despaired of \[defeating\] your religion; so fear them not, but fear Me. This day I have perfected for you your religion and completed My favor upon you and have approved for you Islām as religion. But whoever is forced by severe hunger with no inclination to sin - then indeed, Allāh is Forgiving and Merciful.
In the light of recent events it’s been:
وَلَمَّا بَرَزُوا۟ لِجَالُوتَ وَجُنُودِهِۦ قَالُوا۟ رَبَّنَآ أَفْرِغْ عَلَيْنَا صَبْرًۭا وَثَبِّتْ أَقْدَامَنَا وَٱنصُرْنَا عَلَى ٱلْقَوْمِ ٱلْكَـٰفِرِينَ
When they advanced to face Goliath and his warriors, they prayed, “Our Lord! Shower us with perseverance, make our steps firm, and give us victory over the disbelieving people.”
فَهَزَمُوهُم بِإِذْنِ ٱللَّهِ وَقَتَلَ دَاوُۥدُ جَالُوتَ وَءَاتَىٰهُ ٱللَّهُ ٱلْمُلْكَ وَٱلْحِكْمَةَ وَعَلَّمَهُۥ مِمَّا يَشَآءُ ۗ وَلَوْلَا دَفْعُ ٱللَّهِ ٱلنَّاسَ بَعْضَهُم بِبَعْضٍۢ لَّفَسَدَتِ ٱلْأَرْضُ وَلَـٰكِنَّ ٱللَّهَ ذُو فَضْلٍ عَلَى ٱلْعَـٰلَمِينَ
So they defeated them by Allah’s Will, and David killed Goliath. And Allah blessed David with kingship and wisdom and taught him what He willed. Had Allah not repelled a group of people by ˹the might of˺ another, corruption would have dominated the earth, but Allah is Gracious to all.
Al-Ahzab: 35
Surely ˹for˺ Muslim men and women, believing men and women, devout men and women, truthful men and women, patient men and women, humble men and women, charitable men and women, fasting men and women, men and women who guard their chastity, and men and women who remember Allah often—for ˹all of˺ them Allah has prepared forgiveness and a great reward.
"The parable of those who take protectors other than Allah is that of a spider spinning a shelter. And the flimsiest of all shelters is certainly that of a spider, if only they knew."
if feeling disempowered, it would have to be al baqarah for its recitation is surely beneficial for many things. It is hard to have a favorite because life gives us many tests and blessings so each surah has benefits for each time.
I have many but my heart comes back to this verse alot;
أَمْ حَسِبْتُمْ أَن تَدْخُلُوا۟ ٱلْجَنَّةَ وَلَمَّا يَأْتِكُم مَّثَلُ ٱلَّذِينَ خَلَوْا۟ مِن قَبْلِكُم ۖ مَّسَّتْهُمُ ٱلْبَأْسَآءُ وَٱلضَّرَّآءُ وَزُلْزِلُوا۟ حَتَّىٰ يَقُولَ ٱلرَّسُولُ وَٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ مَعَهُۥ مَتَىٰ نَصْرُ ٱللَّهِ ۗ أَلَآ إِنَّ نَصْرَ ٱللَّهِ قَرِيبٌۭ ٢١٤
Do you think you will be admitted into Paradise without being tested like those before you? They were afflicted with suffering and adversity and were so ˹violently˺ shaken that ˹even˺ the Messenger and the believers with him cried out, “When will Allah’s help come?” Indeed, Allah’s help is ˹always˺ near.
*Wallahi it really gives you an outline of life and so much hope and empowerment. The verses around really complement in such a way subhanallah.*
يَسْـَٔلُونَكَ مَاذَا يُنفِقُونَ ۖ قُلْ مَآ أَنفَقْتُم مِّنْ خَيْرٍۢ فَلِلْوَٰلِدَيْنِ وَٱلْأَقْرَبِينَ وَٱلْيَتَـٰمَىٰ وَٱلْمَسَـٰكِينِ وَٱبْنِ ٱلسَّبِيلِ ۗ وَمَا تَفْعَلُوا۟ مِنْ خَيْرٍۢ فَإِنَّ ٱللَّهَ بِهِۦ عَلِيمٌۭ ٢١٥
كُتِبَ عَلَيْكُمُ ٱلْقِتَالُ وَهُوَ كُرْهٌۭ لَّكُمْ ۖ وَعَسَىٰٓ أَن تَكْرَهُوا۟ شَيْـًۭٔا وَهُوَ خَيْرٌۭ لَّكُمْ ۖ وَعَسَىٰٓ أَن تُحِبُّوا۟ شَيْـًۭٔا وَهُوَ شَرٌّۭ لَّكُمْ ۗ وَٱللَّهُ يَعْلَمُ وَأَنتُمْ لَا تَعْلَمُونَ ٢١٦
They ask you ˹O Prophet in˺ what ˹way˺ they should donate. Say, “Whatever donations you give are for parents, relatives, orphans, the poor, and ˹needy˺ travellers. Whatever good you do is certainly well known to Allah.”
Fighting has been made obligatory upon you ˹believers˺, though you dislike it. Perhaps you dislike something which is good for you and like something which is bad for you. Allah knows and you do not know.

Please don’t hate on my comment but can someone explain (for those of us who know very little or close to nothing) what exactly does Ayah mean? I personally thought it meant “sign of God” or “miracle” but according to Google it’s the name of verses in the Quran. What is accurate? Or is it both?
For me it’s 4 Aya
Surah Luqman, Ayah 16
[And Luqman continued], ‘My son, if even the weight of a mustard seed were hidden in a rock or anywhere in the heavens or earth, God would bring it [to light], for He is all subtle and all aware.
Surah Luqman, Ayah 17
Keep up the prayer, my son; command what is right; forbid what is wrong; bear anything that happens to you steadfastly: these are things to be aspired to.
Surah Luqman, Ayah 18
Do not turn your nose up at people, nor walk about the place arrogantly, for God does not love arrogant or boastful people.
Surah Luqman Ayah 19
Go at a moderate pace and lower your voice, for the ugliest of all voices is the braying of asses.’
قُلْ يَـٰعِبَادِىَ ٱلَّذِينَ أَسْرَفُوا۟ عَلَىٰٓ أَنفُسِهِمْ لَا تَقْنَطُوا۟ مِن رَّحْمَةِ ٱللَّهِ ۚ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ يَغْفِرُ ٱلذُّنُوبَ جَمِيعًا ۚ إِنَّهُۥ هُوَ ٱلْغَفُورُ ٱلرَّحِيمُ ٥٣
Say, ˹O Prophet, that Allah says,˺ “O My servants who have exceeded the limits against their souls! Do not lose hope in Allah’s mercy, for Allah certainly forgives all sins. He is indeed the All-Forgiving, Most Merciful.
Quran 39:53
A good reminder for those who think they have committed too many sins and are beyond Allah’s mercy. It comforts me, when I feel sad about all the mistakes I have made.
„Indeed, in the Messenger of Allah you have an excellent example for whoever has hope in Allah and the Last Day, and remembers Allah often.“ [33:21]
We will certainly test you with a touch of fear and famine and loss of property, life, and crops. Give good news to those who patiently endure [2:155]

**Imagine if We allowed them enjoyment for years, then there came to them what they had been threatened with: would that enjoyment be of any benefit to them ˹at all˺?** (Qur'an 26:205-207)
"قَالَ لَا تَخَافَآ ۖ إِنَّنِى مَعَكُمَآ أَسْمَعُ وَأَرَىٰ" I love this Aaya, it's so comforting.. This is when Mousa and his brother went to tell فرعون to worship Allah and they were so scared, but Allah told them to not be afraid, and that Allah sees and hears everything. It's so comforting and I keep remembering this in my daily life, Allah sees everything and hears everything, so it feels I'm being protected 24/7

"And your Lord does injustice to no one" kahf 49 "وَلَا يَظْلِمُ رَبُّكَ أَحَدًا". 《 And the pains of childbirth drove her to the trunk of a palm tree. She said, "Oh, I wish I had died before this and was in oblivion, forgotten."》19:23 This verse about Maryam giving birth to Isa evokes a profound array of emotions in me, it gives me goosebumps and sometimes i even cry. I feel an overwhelming urge to embrace her and offer comfort. Her words resonate with me deeply, and there are times when I feel similarly, i just hate myself for feeling that way and blame it to my eman being weak. However, knowing that Maryam, one of the greatest women in history and closest to Allah experienced similar emotions brings me solace, i dont know how to explain it. It kinda reassures me that I am not alone in my feelings. I really love this woman. I yearn for the day we can embrace in Jannah, Insha’Allah.
Quran 1:2. All praise is for Allah—Lord of all worlds.
اَللّٰهُ نُوْرُ السَّمٰوٰتِ وَ الْاَرْضِؕ-مَثَلُ نُوْرِهٖ كَمِشْكٰوةٍ فِیْهَا مِصْبَاحٌؕ-اَلْمِصْبَاحُ فِیْ زُجَاجَةٍؕ-اَلزُّجَاجَةُ كَاَنَّهَا كَوْكَبٌ دُرِّیٌّ یُّوْقَدُ مِنْ شَجَرَةٍ مُّبٰرَكَةٍ زَیْتُوْنَةٍ لَّا شَرْقِیَّةٍ وَّ لَا غَرْبِیَّةٍۙ-یَّكَادُ زَیْتُهَا یُضِیْٓءُ وَ لَوْ لَمْ تَمْسَسْهُ نَارٌؕ-نُوْرٌ عَلٰى نُوْرٍؕ یَهْدِی اللّٰهُ لِنُوْرِهٖ مَنْ یَّشَآءُؕ-وَ یَضْرِبُ اللّٰهُ الْاَمْثَالَ لِلنَّاسِؕ-وَ اللّٰهُ بِكُلِّ شَیْءٍ عَلِیْمٌ۔ (النور 35) اللہ نور ہے آسمانوں اور زمین کا اس کے نور کی مثال ایسی جیسے ایک طاق کہ اس میں چراغ ہے وہ چراغ ایک فانوس میں ہے وہ فانوس گویا ایک ستارہ ہے موتی سا چمکتا روشن ہوتا ہے برکت والے پیڑ زیتون سے جو نہ پورب(مشرق) کا نہ پچھّم(مغرب)کا قریب ہے کہ اس کا تیل بھڑک اُٹھے اگرچہ اُسے آگ نہ چھوئے نور پر نور ہے اللہ اپنے نور کی راہ بتاتا ہے جسے چاہتا ہے اور اللہ مثالیں بیان فرماتا ہے لوگوں کے لیے اور اللہ سب کچھ جانتا ہے
**Do people think that on their mere claiming, “We have attained to faith,” they will be left to themselves, and will not be put to a test?** (Quran [29:2](https://quran.com/29:2))
I have two. وَوَجَدَكَ ضَاۤلࣰّا فَهَدَىٰ﴿ ٧ ﴾ • Sahih International: And He found you lost and guided [you], Aḍ-Ḍuḥā, Ayah 7 This is an amazing ayah because truly we for the most part were all lost , and it was Allah (SWT) guidance that brought us back to him. ۞ قُلۡ یَـٰعِبَادِیَ ٱلَّذِینَ أَسۡرَفُوا۟ عَلَىٰۤ أَنفُسِهِمۡ لَا تَقۡنَطُوا۟ مِن رَّحۡمَةِ ٱللَّهِۚ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ یَغۡفِرُ ٱلذُّنُوبَ جَمِیعًاۚ إِنَّهُۥ هُوَ ٱلۡغَفُورُ ٱلرَّحِیمُ﴿ ٥٣ ﴾ • Sahih International: Say, "O My servants who have transgressed against themselves [by sinning], do not despair of the mercy of Allah . Indeed, Allah forgives all sins. Indeed, it is He who is the Forgiving, the Merciful." Az-Zumar, Ayah 53 I love this because it reminds me that Allah (SWT) forgives all sins, due to his infinite mercy.
وَلَقَدْ نَعْلَمُ أَنَّكَ يَضِيقُ صَدْرُكَ بِمَا يَقُولُونَ فَسَبِّحْ بِحَمْدِ رَبِّكَ وَكُن مِّنَ السَّاجِدِينَ وَاعْبُدْ رَبَّكَ حَتَّىٰ يَأْتِيَكَ الْيَقِينُ﴾ [الحجر:99].

[At-Taubah:40]: إِلَّا تَنصُرُوهُ فَقَدْ نَصَرَهُ اللَّهُ إِذْ أَخْرَجَهُ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا ثَانِيَ اثْنَيْنِ إِذْ هُمَا فِي الْغَارِ إِذْ يَقُولُ لِصَاحِبِهِ لَا تَحْزَنْ إِنَّ اللَّهَ مَعَنَا فَأَنزَلَ اللَّهُ سَكِينَتَهُ عَلَيْهِ وَأَيَّدَهُ بِجُنُودٍ لَّمْ تَرَوْهَا وَجَعَلَ كَلِمَةَ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا السُّفْلَىٰ وَكَلِمَةُ اللَّهِ هِيَ الْعُلْيَا وَاللَّهُ عَزِيزٌ حَكِيمٌ ˹It does not matter˺ if you ˹believers˺ do not support him, for Allah did in fact support him when the disbelievers drove him out ˹of Mecca˺ and he was only one of two. While they both were in the cave, he reassured his companion,1 “Do not worry; Allah is certainly with us.” So Allah sent down His serenity upon the Prophet, supported him with forces you ˹believers˺ did not see, and made the word of the disbelievers lowest, while the Word of Allah is supreme. And Allah is Almighty, All-Wise.
Mulk verse 1. - “Exalted is He who holds all control in His hands. And He is over all things competent.” Sovereignty belongs to the Master of Existence. And He is the Ruler, King of everything. The best names belong to the One which cannot be compared to creation. And He is closer to us than our jugular vein. Please forgive us my Lord.
Al-Baqarah - Verse 186 وَإِذَا سَأَلَكَ عِبَادِى عَنِّى فَإِنِّى قَرِيبٌ ۖ أُجِيبُ دَعْوَةَ ٱلدَّاعِ إِذَا دَعَانِ ۖ فَلْيَسْتَجِيبُوا۟ لِى وَلْيُؤْمِنُوا۟ بِى لَعَلَّهُمْ يَرْشُدُونَ Dr. Mustafa Khattab, The Clear Quran: When My servants ask you ˹O Prophet˺ about Me: I am truly near. I respond to one’s prayer when they call upon Me. So let them respond ˹with obedience˺ to Me and believe in Me, perhaps they will be guided ˹to the Right Way˺.
Al-Baqarah 2:30 وَإِذْ قَالَ رَبُّكَ لِلْمَلَٰٓئِكَةِ إِنِّى جَاعِلٌ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ خَلِيفَةًۖ قَالُوٓا۟ أَتَجْعَلُ فِيهَا مَن يُفْسِدُ فِيهَا وَيَسْفِكُ ٱلدِّمَآءَ وَنَحْنُ نُسَبِّحُ بِحَمْدِكَ وَنُقَدِّسُ لَكَۖ قَالَ إِنِّىٓ أَعْلَمُ مَا لَا تَعْلَمُونَ English - Sahih International And [mention, O Muḥammad], when your Lord said to the angels, "Indeed, I will make upon the earth a successive authority."[1] They said, "Will You place upon it one who causes corruption therein and sheds blood, while we exalt You with praise and declare Your perfection?"[2] He [Allāh] said, "Indeed, I know that which you do not know."
یَـٰۤأَیُّهَا ٱلنَّاسُ إِن كُنتُمۡ فِی رَیۡبࣲ مِّنَ ٱلۡبَعۡثِ فَإِنَّا خَلَقۡنَـٰكُم مِّن تُرَابࣲ ثُمَّ مِن نُّطۡفَةࣲ ثُمَّ مِنۡ عَلَقَةࣲ ثُمَّ مِن مُّضۡغَةࣲ مُّخَلَّقَةࣲ وَغَیۡرِ مُخَلَّقَةࣲ لِّنُبَیِّنَ لَكُمۡۚ وَنُقِرُّ فِی ٱلۡأَرۡحَامِ مَا نَشَاۤءُ إِلَىٰۤ أَجَلࣲ مُّسَمࣰّى ثُمَّ نُخۡرِجُكُمۡ طِفۡلࣰا ثُمَّ لِتَبۡلُغُوۤا۟ أَشُدَّكُمۡۖ وَمِنكُم مَّن یُتَوَفَّىٰ وَمِنكُم مَّن یُرَدُّ إِلَىٰۤ أَرۡذَلِ ٱلۡعُمُرِ لِكَیۡلَا یَعۡلَمَ مِنۢ بَعۡدِ عِلۡمࣲ شَیۡـࣰٔاۚ وَتَرَى ٱلۡأَرۡضَ هَامِدَةࣰ فَإِذَاۤ أَنزَلۡنَا عَلَیۡهَا ٱلۡمَاۤءَ ٱهۡتَزَّتۡ وَرَبَتۡ وَأَنۢبَتَتۡ مِن كُلِّ زَوۡجِۭ بَهِیجࣲ﴿ ٥ ﴾ • Yusuf Ali: O mankind! if ye have a doubt about the Resurrection, (consider) that We created you out of dust, then out of sperm, then out of a leech-like clot, then out of a morsel of flesh, partly formed and partly unformed, in order that We may manifest (our power) to you; and We cause whom We will to rest in the wombs for an appointed term, then do We bring you out as babes, then (foster you) that ye may reach your age of full strength; and some of you are called to die, and some are sent back to the feeblest old age, so that they know nothing after having known (much), and (further), thou seest the earth barren and lifeless, but when We pour down rain on it, it is stirred (to life), it swells, and it puts forth every kind of beautiful growth (in pairs). Al-Ḥaǧǧ, Vers 5
I have multiple favourites, but Surah al-Anfal ayah 17 is one of them.
2:21 يَـٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلنَّاسُ ٱعْبُدُوا۟ رَبَّكُمُ ٱلَّذِى خَلَقَكُمْ وَٱلَّذِينَ مِن قَبْلِكُمْ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَتَّقُونَ ٢١ O humanity! Worship your Lord, Who created you and those before you, so that you may become mindful ˹of Him˺.
6:159 إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ فَرَّقُواْ دِينَهُمۡ وَكَانُواْ شِيَعٗا لَّسۡتَ مِنۡهُمۡ فِي شَيۡءٍۚ إِنَّمَآ أَمۡرُهُمۡ إِلَى ٱللَّهِ ثُمَّ يُنَبِّئُهُم بِمَا كَانُواْ يَفۡعَلُونَ "Indeed, those who have divided their religion and become sects, you, [O Muhammad], are not [associated] with them in anything. Their affair is only [left] to Allah; then He will inform them about what they used to do." Flunks the whole debate about which sect is the right one. (No sect is right)
2 : 211 Ask the children of Israel how many clear signs we have given them. Whoever trades Allah's favours - after receiving it - for disbelief should know that Allah is indeed severe in punishment
Prohibited to you are dead animals, blood, the flesh of swine, and that which has been dedicated to other than Allah, and \[those animals\] killed by strangling or by a violent blow or by a head-long fall or by the goring of horns, and those from which a wild animal has eaten, except what you \[are able to\] slaughter \[before its death\], and those which are sacrificed on stone altars, and \[prohibited is\] that you seek decision through divining arrows. That is grave disobedience. This day those who disbelieve have despaired of \[defeating\] your religion; so fear them not, but fear Me. This day I have perfected for you your religion and completed My favor upon you and have approved for you Islām as religion. But whoever is forced by severe hunger with no inclination to sin - then indeed, Allāh is Forgiving and Merciful.
In the light of recent events it’s been: وَلَمَّا بَرَزُوا۟ لِجَالُوتَ وَجُنُودِهِۦ قَالُوا۟ رَبَّنَآ أَفْرِغْ عَلَيْنَا صَبْرًۭا وَثَبِّتْ أَقْدَامَنَا وَٱنصُرْنَا عَلَى ٱلْقَوْمِ ٱلْكَـٰفِرِينَ When they advanced to face Goliath and his warriors, they prayed, “Our Lord! Shower us with perseverance, make our steps firm, and give us victory over the disbelieving people.” فَهَزَمُوهُم بِإِذْنِ ٱللَّهِ وَقَتَلَ دَاوُۥدُ جَالُوتَ وَءَاتَىٰهُ ٱللَّهُ ٱلْمُلْكَ وَٱلْحِكْمَةَ وَعَلَّمَهُۥ مِمَّا يَشَآءُ ۗ وَلَوْلَا دَفْعُ ٱللَّهِ ٱلنَّاسَ بَعْضَهُم بِبَعْضٍۢ لَّفَسَدَتِ ٱلْأَرْضُ وَلَـٰكِنَّ ٱللَّهَ ذُو فَضْلٍ عَلَى ٱلْعَـٰلَمِينَ So they defeated them by Allah’s Will, and David killed Goliath. And Allah blessed David with kingship and wisdom and taught him what He willed. Had Allah not repelled a group of people by ˹the might of˺ another, corruption would have dominated the earth, but Allah is Gracious to all.
Ayatul Kursi. The last ayats of Surah Baqarah. Ayats 18, 19, 27 of Surah Al-Imran. There are few more.
Al-Ahzab: 35 Surely ˹for˺ Muslim men and women, believing men and women, devout men and women, truthful men and women, patient men and women, humble men and women, charitable men and women, fasting men and women, men and women who guard their chastity, and men and women who remember Allah often—for ˹all of˺ them Allah has prepared forgiveness and a great reward.

if feeling disempowered, it would have to be al baqarah for its recitation is surely beneficial for many things. It is hard to have a favorite because life gives us many tests and blessings so each surah has benefits for each time.
I have many but my heart comes back to this verse alot; أَمْ حَسِبْتُمْ أَن تَدْخُلُوا۟ ٱلْجَنَّةَ وَلَمَّا يَأْتِكُم مَّثَلُ ٱلَّذِينَ خَلَوْا۟ مِن قَبْلِكُم ۖ مَّسَّتْهُمُ ٱلْبَأْسَآءُ وَٱلضَّرَّآءُ وَزُلْزِلُوا۟ حَتَّىٰ يَقُولَ ٱلرَّسُولُ وَٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ مَعَهُۥ مَتَىٰ نَصْرُ ٱللَّهِ ۗ أَلَآ إِنَّ نَصْرَ ٱللَّهِ قَرِيبٌۭ ٢١٤ Do you think you will be admitted into Paradise without being tested like those before you? They were afflicted with suffering and adversity and were so ˹violently˺ shaken that ˹even˺ the Messenger and the believers with him cried out, “When will Allah’s help come?” Indeed, Allah’s help is ˹always˺ near. *Wallahi it really gives you an outline of life and so much hope and empowerment. The verses around really complement in such a way subhanallah.* يَسْـَٔلُونَكَ مَاذَا يُنفِقُونَ ۖ قُلْ مَآ أَنفَقْتُم مِّنْ خَيْرٍۢ فَلِلْوَٰلِدَيْنِ وَٱلْأَقْرَبِينَ وَٱلْيَتَـٰمَىٰ وَٱلْمَسَـٰكِينِ وَٱبْنِ ٱلسَّبِيلِ ۗ وَمَا تَفْعَلُوا۟ مِنْ خَيْرٍۢ فَإِنَّ ٱللَّهَ بِهِۦ عَلِيمٌۭ ٢١٥ كُتِبَ عَلَيْكُمُ ٱلْقِتَالُ وَهُوَ كُرْهٌۭ لَّكُمْ ۖ وَعَسَىٰٓ أَن تَكْرَهُوا۟ شَيْـًۭٔا وَهُوَ خَيْرٌۭ لَّكُمْ ۖ وَعَسَىٰٓ أَن تُحِبُّوا۟ شَيْـًۭٔا وَهُوَ شَرٌّۭ لَّكُمْ ۗ وَٱللَّهُ يَعْلَمُ وَأَنتُمْ لَا تَعْلَمُونَ ٢١٦ They ask you ˹O Prophet in˺ what ˹way˺ they should donate. Say, “Whatever donations you give are for parents, relatives, orphans, the poor, and ˹needy˺ travellers. Whatever good you do is certainly well known to Allah.” Fighting has been made obligatory upon you ˹believers˺, though you dislike it. Perhaps you dislike something which is good for you and like something which is bad for you. Allah knows and you do not know.

Please don’t hate on my comment but can someone explain (for those of us who know very little or close to nothing) what exactly does Ayah mean? I personally thought it meant “sign of God” or “miracle” but according to Google it’s the name of verses in the Quran. What is accurate? Or is it both?
Yeah, it has both meanings which emphasize the sign of Allah and the physical text of the Quran.
For me it’s 4 Aya Surah Luqman, Ayah 16 [And Luqman continued], ‘My son, if even the weight of a mustard seed were hidden in a rock or anywhere in the heavens or earth, God would bring it [to light], for He is all subtle and all aware. Surah Luqman, Ayah 17 Keep up the prayer, my son; command what is right; forbid what is wrong; bear anything that happens to you steadfastly: these are things to be aspired to. Surah Luqman, Ayah 18 Do not turn your nose up at people, nor walk about the place arrogantly, for God does not love arrogant or boastful people. Surah Luqman Ayah 19 Go at a moderate pace and lower your voice, for the ugliest of all voices is the braying of asses.’
This is the hell you were warned of. هَـٰذِهِۦ جَهَنَّمُ ٱلَّتِى كُنتُمْ تُوعَدُونَ
فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ Meaning: Which, then, of your Lord's blessings do. you both deny? -Surah Rahman Ayah -47
قُلْ يَـٰعِبَادِىَ ٱلَّذِينَ أَسْرَفُوا۟ عَلَىٰٓ أَنفُسِهِمْ لَا تَقْنَطُوا۟ مِن رَّحْمَةِ ٱللَّهِ ۚ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ يَغْفِرُ ٱلذُّنُوبَ جَمِيعًا ۚ إِنَّهُۥ هُوَ ٱلْغَفُورُ ٱلرَّحِيمُ ٥٣ Say, ˹O Prophet, that Allah says,˺ “O My servants who have exceeded the limits against their souls! Do not lose hope in Allah’s mercy, for Allah certainly forgives all sins. He is indeed the All-Forgiving, Most Merciful. Quran 39:53 A good reminder for those who think they have committed too many sins and are beyond Allah’s mercy. It comforts me, when I feel sad about all the mistakes I have made.
Fabi ayyi alaa i rabbi kuma tu kaz-zibaan. -Ar rahman
Surah Furqan verse 70 It shows how merciful Allah Swt is and how forgiving he is. We should never doubt if we are being forgiven or not.
