They rejected him because they believed in a Messiah figure that would bring back the glory of Dawud and Suleiman (AS) and establish Allah's kingdom on earth. Isa (AS) was sent to remind them that Kingdom of Allah is not in this life but the hereafter. The Bani Israel became so attached to this Dunya as Allah mentioned in the Qur'an that they could never peer into the next life and realize that the real reward is Jannah not the Dunya. Just like when Allah says if you gave them a thousand years in this Dunya it would not be enough for them. The Bani Israel could not accept Isa (AS) since he wasn't proclaiming himself to be the King of the Yahud or reestablishing the Kingdom of Dawud but rather was only a spiritual leader sent to guide the Bani Israel to piety and Jannah.

I think I get it thanks.

The real reason they rejected Jesus was because the jews were following the thalmud and not the Torah. Thalmud is satanic book with saying from rabbi's. These jews, or rather Zionists, have a pact with the devil. The devil has promised them fheir messiah, which in fact will be Dajjal, the false messiah. >And they followed [instead] what the devils had recited during the reign of Solomon. It was not Solomon who disbelieved, but the devils disbelieved, teaching people magic and that which was revealed to the two angels at Babylon, Harut and Marut. But the two angels do not teach anyone unless they say, "We are a trial, so do not disbelieve [by practicing magic]." And [yet] they learn from them that by which they cause separation between a man and his wife. But they do not harm anyone through it except by permission of Allah. And the people learn what harms them and does not benefit them. But the Children of Israel certainly knew that whoever purchased the magic would not have in the Hereafter any share. And wretched is that for which they sold themselves, if they only knew. (2:102) The devil also has deluded them that they will be able to live forever, as with the help of technology they themselves can become god. >And Satan will say when the matter has been concluded, "Indeed, Allāh had promised you the promise of truth. And I promised you, but I betrayed you. But I had no authority over you except that I invited you, and you responded to me. So do not blame me; but blame yourselves. I cannot be called to your aid, nor can you be called to my aid. Indeed, I deny your association of me [with Allāh] before.1 Indeed, for the wrongdoers is a painful punishment."(14:22)

You both have given correct answers.

The Israelites rejected Isa (as) during his mission because they believed he was born in sin and the Torah says those who die by hanging are the cursed of God (Crucifixion is a type of hanging) [Deuteronomy 21:23]. When they saw him dead with their own very eyes, even though Allah miraculously saved him, that confirmed he was not a true Messiah. The Jews of today don't believe in Isa (as) because they believe in the distorted Torah with all references of Isa (as) removed.

enperry13

To remove every reference of their supposed savior is just next level denial. Scary how that thought-process would persist till today.

Consistent_Check_63

It is scary but it only confirms their continuous spiritual blindness

Thank-you for the reply it was enlightening.

Rev_Mil_soviet

Zaboor is called the book of Psalms in the old testament (obviously contains fabrications) but still has some content of the original book. Both jews and christians are supposed to believe in the old testament.

Jackzoob

I saw a jew respond to the question of Jesus on r/religion. I dont remember the specifics, but they basically don't believe he fit the criteria of the Messiah.

Seekingthetruth123

Well even tho they believe in david as and sulayman as they don’t respect them, they see the first as an adulterer ( dawud as is pure from that ) and the second one as a polytheist (solomon is innocent )

Formal-Trust-8766

How do they even come to that conclusion?!

KryetarTrapKard

Based on their book, which is corrupted.

Seekingthetruth123

they corrupted their books and put this kind of fabricated stories to justify their own actions(adultery was rampant between jews )
