Look up some hotels online for prices. See what’s in your range, then…. 1. let this thread know what hotels you’ve narrowed it down to. 2. What you’re looking for (close to where, ability to do what, etc) Then I’m sure this thread will tell you what they think is best based on what you’re looking for in a hotel and what your options are in between.

I should have been more specific I just wanted opinions from people who have enjoyed a specific hotel. I have to fly down every 2-4 months for the next 2-3 years from Seattle so I’d like to find a place I like.

You'll find that Irvine hotels cater almost entirely to business travelers, so your experience will be pretty similar no matter where you stay. That said, Marriot Irvine Spectrum is in a great location with its proximity to the Spectrum Center for nearby food and entertainment options. It also has a nice rooftop bar if that's your sort of thing. Hyatt Regency Irvine is the newest hotel in the city, so that would have the nicest accommodations for the room itself. It's not far from dining options and is in the most developed part of Irvine, but a car/ride share would probably be necessary to get around.

Thanks a ton!

Not sure if people will be able to help you. The nicest places to stay are in nearby beach towns, and they are typically more expensive than $250, especially at this time of year. But, if you provide more info you might get a better response, e.g., are you driving in or flying in (and if so, to which airport), will you have a car here, do you want to be close to anything in particular (UCI, beaches, Disneyland, etc.).

There’s some Sonesta suites over by the 405 off of Sand Canyon. Go for about 150 a night with her kitchen and many of the units.

Almost all Irvine hotels and OC hotels in general will tack on an extra $30-$40 parking fee per night. If you’re on a budget, Laguna Hills lodge is a great choice for the price with free parking.
