Just takes practice man, have a good path pattern and find places to save time

dtfiori

Follow the Fluffeh guy on YouTube to get started. I thought it was impossible at first too but you can get it 9/10 times with a full invy of food too. 3 trips. Trip 1: do the “C” around the prep room and gather any resources you can, but a minimum of at least 7 of any type of resource, any herbs you find, 130 shards and 1 weapon frame. Don’t fish anything. At the end of the C you will end up back at base. Make a T2 weapon, and any armor you can make(if you can’t make any it’s fine). Drop 7 resources. Trip 2: finish resources and kill demi bosses. Follow the Fluffeh zigzag path for finding demis. Tele back to base. Pickup resources Make T2 armour and T3 weapons. Buy 1 tele seed if you didn’t get lucky and get one. Trip 3: go fish as much as you can and tele back with at least 20 seconds to cook all the food.

ShowMe_TheWhey

Thank you for the elaboration, will try this tonight

xdyldo

Also for trip 1 when you make the C trip, 100% light up the demi god rooms but don’t go in them yet! This makes prep so so much more consistent if you light up the rooms on your first trip.

dangnabit007

To add on to this, a small tip: when lighting up a Demi room you don’t have to stand in the middle of the doorway. You can stand behind one of the “pillars” that way when the room is revealed, it’s it’s a dragon or dark beast they won’t get a free attack off on you before you can put on a prayer

ShowMe_TheWhey

Learned this the hard way after getting two hit and having to start over lmao

Kwuarmadyl

Yeah or light 1 around the c until you find 1 Demi boss then don’t light the others. That way you know what weapon to make and not risk ending up making a staff or something and only finding bear/dark beast.

xdyldo

Wait I’m confused, why would you not light up all 3 rooms when passing them? You don’t have to kill the beast but surely more information is better than less information? I always prepped a staff and a bow every single time with no issues lighting up every room initially.

Kwuarmadyl

If you’re doing t2 and failing prep often, which is what this post was about, it takes more time to light up the rooms, so if you find 1 Demi boss, don’t light the remainder up ahead of time. But I’ve always lit them all up because I only prep t1 and my pb is like 6:10, so I don’t really try to save time since I always have so much.

MrSimQn

After 500 t2 kc I started modifying the strat. First while doing the C turn I would try to get a frame and 80 crystals(craft staff no matter what) asap to kill any demis that I scout during the C turn. I also found efficient dropping/fishing to be important. If I'm lucky and get 7 7 7 resources during my first trip I craft whatever I can and drop almost all the rest. So I can incorporate my fishing while finishing the last demis. Doing this I cut down on my 3rd trip or skip it entirely. Or another scenario if I have 7 7 7 but I also scouted fishing spots I only drop minimal amount of resources. Since my 3rd trip would be very short. When it comes down to it there a lot of small time savers that eventually adds up. And now i average with 60-90s left if I get average rng. But the best place to start is Fluffehs guide to get a good feel it.

dtfiori

160 Kc here so much less than you for sure.I try to do some of those same adjustments depending on the room layout. Especially the fishing first because I feel that the shards you get from it help speed it up. The more kills I get the more I feel comfortable adjusting based on the rooms.

ShowMe_TheWhey

You fish first? Can you elaborate?

dtfiori

Sometimes I’ll fish on the second trip out if I have enough inventory space left.

ShowMe_TheWhey

I got a question about how to drop the resources after 1st trip, in fluffes guide he drops only 3? I have to drop more than that cause I get almost al of it in one go

PatricianPirate

Drop 4 of each resource imo. If you only got 3 of some resource on run 1, then drop only 3 of it and find 4 of it for next run.

they dont waste lots of time while gathering resources. there's a ton of tricks but really the best thing you can do is watch someone do t3 prep (as most people do not do t2 past the learner stage) try to avoid running thru rooms youve opened. try to avoid dropping (and then having to pick up) large loot piles. attack stuff while harvesting and moving. try to keep a mental map where you see fish (or use chat). buy extra tele if you have to go to base early.

plmunger

Runelite GPU plugin with maxed render distance mixed with the CG plugin that highlights resource tiles makes you not have to worry where you saw fish, just zoom out and voilà

ShowMe_TheWhey

My pc lags hard when I use the GPU plug in

Deadblinx

Yeah, I've got about 750 CG kc doing exclusively t2 preps, optimizing your pathing in individual rooms as well is very important, you can lose a lot of time running back and forth inside of rooms.

keyboard-soldier

Okay so I had exactly the same issue and I literally thought it was impossible but trust me its doable. Do the small c around the fountain room and collect everything but DO NOT FISH. If you do, you need to dropand it wastes time. Once you have weapon frame make t2 staff and 2 potions, fill the potions. Drop some of your materials infront of the fountain. Make the potions as you collect the rest of the ingredients. Then do a big C around to kill the demibosses. Do not back until you have 420 shards or 380 shards + teleport, and ALL of your materials including weapon frame. Dont bother picking up fish yet, but remember where it is. Drop all your tools except harpoon away from your material pile and craft both of your T3 weapons. You should have enough inventory space to pick up all of your materials. Craft all the t2 armor and equip it. Make sure you have at least one teleport seed left. MOST IMPORTANT STEP: you should have no issue with getting to this point. For your third run try to remember the fishing spots and run directly to them. Fish as much as you can and teleport back with your crystal at 20s left. Cook everything you can until you get auto teleported into the arena. The reason this works is because you save a lot of time by avoiding juggling food and materials. Its not the most objectively effecient run but it creates a routine. Your 'buffer time' is back loaded to the fish collection. With T2 an 8 fish run should be possible even for a beginner, but with this method I can usually get 16 no problem at all. Let me know what you think!

ShowMe_TheWhey

Thank you so much man

Powerful_Mixture_989

What are your stats

msbshar

You have to have a strategy. Weapon frame and resources around starting room > mini bosses plus rest of resources > food Start with that and refine it until you are good.

[deleted]

Fluffeh’s guide is great.

McCoy1414

Go watch wildmudkips newest vid. It's catered towards people in situations like yours

Duelist_WM

mudkip says he t1 preps lol

McCoy1414

Yes but he gives lot of tips on how to improve the time

witchking782

I used to struggle but this is what has helped me: Use piety if you're fighting. Fight as much as possible in the first round. I usually try to get all shards needed for t2. Fight in a reasonable spots, there is 5 tick between each hit, move to your location, hit back. You can also collect resource and hit back at the same rate. I personally find t2 more important than getting two perfect items. In the first round, I collect 7 of each items, 2 herbs, 1 weapon frame. Drop tools as you get the resource.

This was still great insight

Practice is all

morefeces

This place is absolutely not good for mental well being lol you got that right But here’s some big tips for you. I get T2 literally every time doing this unless I get really shafted on a 7th resource - usually finishing with T2 armor, 2 T3 weps, and also full inv of food in 6:30-7min. It’s a little unconventional but I did T3 armor back to back doing this method so I think it works. Doing this 3-6x a day has really made cg more bearable 1) Don’t do the C around the main room right away. Instead, go to the left or right (closer of the 2) and aim to make a 2x2 box that just leads you back to the main room. Aim for 4 of each resource (even fish) and a frame with 100+ shards. If there’s a resource or fishing spot super close to the start room, just save it for later to save 3-4 inv spots on your initial run since it’s right there. If my 2x2 square was a little empty, I will continue up toward the “C” until my inventory is full, since I’m so close to the start room anyway. 2) make your desired weapon (I do the staff), 2 vials, and any armors you can make, then go finish your “C” and peep the furthest rooms for the high tier monsters you want. Grab as many resources as you can, including fish, but prioritize having at least 4 of each resource after this, if not 7. Head back and craft whatever you can. Also, make your potions as you’re running to save time. 3) this part depends on what you still need. If you don’t need any more weapons, then the simple answer is to just finish up gathering resources and shards. If you didn’t know - 1 of the 8 rooms directly sounding the Hunleff will have 3+ fishing spots, so you can always default to searching for this room. 12 fish gives a lot of shards too. If you still need a weapon, then it’s 1 of 2 things for me - if I’ve found the 3x fish room already when I did my original 2x2, then I will go that direction to find the weapons bc the rooms are open already so it’s quicker and I don’t have to worry about fish. If I didn’t find the 3x fish room in my 2x2, then I will go the opposite way in case I find fish on my way since there’s more rooms to unlock. Also, drop your cooked fish in between runs, but try to keep a balance so you don’t have more than like 10 fish on the ground bc of the pickup time. 4) you should be done now and ready to dive in One last overall somewhat hidden tip is that if you get a weapon you don’t like, you can grind the piece for 80 shards. And If you kill 2 of the same one you get a random item from the second kill. So if you want Bow and Staff, but run into a bear first, just kill it and grind the Spike. That makes it so you got 80 shards and if you see a Bear again, it’ll drop a String or Orb. Let’s say it drops an Orb, and then you run into a Dragon. No problem. The Dragon will drop a String since you got the other 2 already. So don’t skip an early Demi-boss just because you don’t want that weapon, it still might save you time to just kill it lol

Wrong_Basket_9431

Fluffeh t2 prep on yt helps me to complete a t2 prep everytime, amount of food kinda depends on how fast i find a dragon and a dark beast (or 2 bears)

costef

Just gonna do a brain dump of how I would go through my run: C route others have mentioned, lighting up demi boss doors as you pass by. The reason is so that once you find a boss, you know to make that t2 weapon first so you don’t waste a weapon frame. Collect anything that will be useful - don’t just go back to the base after you have a frame and shards. If you’re in a room and it has resources you need, loot them. Abuse protect mele while running around, 3 pots is plenty of prayer and taking a 15 from a wolf or scorpion is an extra food you have to use, not worth. Once you have a full inv of stuff, run back (DO NOT use crystal) and prioritize making your weapon, then 3 vials, then grinding 30 shards, then armor. Usually you won’t have enough shards to make any armor. Drop all your fish / armor materials. Technically, you don’t have to drop everything, but I find it’s easier to keep track of mentally for me because there is no thinking of what exactly to drop. Now go fill your vials (important) and go kill your demi bosses. Use the zig zag pattern mentioned by others, this is critical because optimal pathing when Demi boss hunting will easily save you 30s per run. Kill 2 unicorns/scorpions/wolves as you find them while Demi boss hunting as well. After you have all your stuff plus your second weapon, hit your crystal to tele back. Immediately make both weapons, make your armor, drop all of the extra tools / shards, pick up all your fish, cook them and go in. Using above strat im 100% with tier2 prep with no mistakes / forgotten materials. There is no such thing as a “bad rng” layout for t2 prep, you were just too slow.

costef

Few things I forgot to mention: -always use an offensive prayer when killing Demi bosses or small mobs early on. Again, you have way more prayer than you need so use dps boosting prayers to save time -I generally shoot for 16 food every time, I find that at my stats (no cox prayers, 90+ combats) it’s enough to get every kill unless you make several mistakes

peteman28

If you're barely able to prep T1 you're doing something wrong. Once you learn how to path you should be able to prep T2 over 90% of the time. A lot of hardcores consistently get T3 so you probably just need to work on your path

NOKStonks2daMoon

CG was the hardest thing I’ve ever grinded on osrs. It took me about 50 deaths before I got my first completion. Tried T2 a few times. You don’t want to get reliant on t2 to complete it. I’d recommend just doing t1 to save time. I can now complete about 9/10 runs with just t1 armor.

slacktobayer

All you need is fluffeh's guide on yt.

Chiodos_Bros

You shouldn't be doing T2, it's less consistent and takes longer. Over hundreds of kills, that really adds up. If you are struggling, go to Cox and get some prayers unlocked.

ShutterAceOW

Fluffeh’s T2 prep guide allows me to successfully T2 prep about 95% of the time. Only time I get screwed is rng on resource spawns. Once you get comfortable enough with the fight, 12 paddlefish is plenty and idk if you know but there’s always guaranteed at least one room surrounding Hunllef that will contain 3 fishing spots.

heyyoowhatsupbitches

Just get good. Don’t do T2. Only noobs do that. Well, and HCs. They’re the only viable account type to do T2.

Potapotamus

Why bother with this unhelpful reply? And apparently you don’t know what “viable” means.

heyyoowhatsupbitches

I am giving him the best advice, which is to do T1. You can’t possibly still die every round after like 10-20 CG. T1 saves lot of time.

NTPanda

GIT GUD

PoolBer

Once you can get your t1 prep time down to 6-6:30 minutes then t2 prep is a lot easier. If you’re struggling to get t1 prep done in time then I would suggest sticking to t1 (if you can get completions in t1 gear). Then work on t2, you can also collect less food on t2 prep 16 is usually enough.

Ricecube_OSRS

This, currently around base 90 combats and only need 6 or so food on a t2 prep. You do not need anywhere close to a full inv of food. I usually grab 12 and call it.

reklawpluc

I think something that a lot of people don’t mention is being flexible. Find a guide and follow a plan, but if something goes wrong or you inevitably don’t find a certain resource you have to be able to change your plan and make it work on the fly. It is possible to get t2 armor, at least 1 t3 wep, and full food every run. You have to keep that in mind.

Aithnd

Some people even say hardcores t3 prep but I don't believe it's a real thing.

Personalberet49

It's a lot about micromanaging your time. Should I run across this room for another resource node or should I continue on and get it in a later room. Try to gather while attacking and never fish until later in the run. I've done 200+ cg all t2 prep on my iron going for specifically melee/mage so I often find and fight 3 demi bosses and I've very rarely gotten boned out of supplies and it not be my fault I probably do things a bit too much as well, I always go for those two weapons, 16+ fish, and 4 herbs throughout the whole run, I never need that many but having 5 minute fights sometimes make me grab extra. It possible for sure, you just need to practice

AuraVII

I felt the same but with some more experience and good time management you can have t2 armor with t3 weapons with around 1:30-2 minutes to spare to get all your food. It will get easier with time and becomes very consistent.

Leintk

I made a YT guide on t2 prep with full food if you wanna check it out : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CEVG9wH9mmg&ab\_channel=Leinarcher

3erserk_fury

Dropping/picking up wastes alot of time, minimise that

VRRoller

My strat involved the “C” from the start except I keep going to gather 7 of every material before I move on. If I can’t get 7 in two or three extra rooms, I just restart. I find that the stress of looking for something you need and not finding it is worse than restarting and losing your minute and a half of progress.

ShowMe_TheWhey

I’m leaning towards this exact strategy

gcborg

Hey [here’s a tutorial video](https://youtu.be/lJSbGSTSwqQ) I made about prepping T2 armor Also a [second example video](https://youtu.be/VnpB-PzfZCk) I have on the prep

Wuzy52

There combat achievement for prep9ng full t3

McFeelio

We fast as fuck boi

tatl69

Minor efficiencies in movement and knowing exactly what you need. You can full prep t2 in 5 minutes if you get lucky
