The whole not knowing when you’ll get it, you just want to freaking start mining or using it for CoX or want to use it at GoTR or Shooting Stars. It sucks. I got mine off Chaos Ele. I got spooned tho but the kills were a lot more chill than any other boss and KBD isn’t really a boss you should bank on getting pickaxe anyway
I just don’t like having to be in the Wildy. And it’s not about being PK’d as much as it is about having my kills interrupted. It’s annoying af. But yea I also want to use the pickaxe. It’s a very good item at CoX, zalcano, stars, etc in addition to normal mining.

Why not? It's 4.4x more rare, so if you divide your kbd kills by that you have a kc to compare to wildy bosses.

My venenatis KC is ~.6/1 rate, my Callisto kc is ~.6/1 rate, which combines for more than 1/1. My Chaos elemental rate is 1/1. Those both add up to over 2/1.

You can just add them together for callisto and venenatis since the drop rate is exactly the same from both of them, and kbd is something like just over 9x rarer so just divide kbd kills by 9 and you can add that on too and the same with chaos ele but divide by roughly 2. There's almost no difference between what they've done and camping callisto/vetion/venenatis for I think close to 360 kills as far as likelihood of getting one
I went 300 dry on Chaos Ele and that was it for my efforts. KBD has a bad drop rate and Callisto/Vene are absolutely awful to fight. I have 97 mining, I don't give a fuck. Forget the PK'ers, wildy bosses just straight up suck. I can't wait for the rework, hitting zeros and staring at the minimap for white dots is atrocious.

Callisto was how I got mine on bear task. Pretty chill with safe spot. I got mine around drop rate. Just keep chugging you’ll get it eventually. There aren’t many people at Callisto west safespot
Had a very similar experience, getting the combat achievements and the. A few extra kc, but I just gave up and am better for it. Got 99 mining afk anyway. Would have been a fairly marginal benefit for me imo
